FF: Integra Type-R '98, Renaultsport Clio RS, Golf GTI Mk I for Eiger :)
FR: TVR V8S (Cape Ring), Shelby Series One Supercharged (Suzuka), BMW Concept 1-Series tii (Deep Forest)
4WD: Evo IV GSR (Cape Ring), Nismo Skyline GTR R32 S-Tune (Rome), Audi RS4 (Laguna Seca)

All except the Golf are bone stock including tires, or with very little tuning (air filter etc.).

FF for deep forest : use a full tune honda life stepvan!
this beast has 88hp and as you can imagine it gained the 1st place:(

FF: Civic Type R (EK) '97; 187bhp, 977kg
FR: Fairlady Z Version ST (Z33) '02; 308bhp, 1450kg
AWD:Impreza Sedan WRX STI '10; 347bhp, 1251kg

I used same tyres as AI, the Honda has been upgraded for rallies and the Subura for the Tuning Car race which is why they are lighter than stock.

I tried the the Jaguar E-Type Coupe '61 in the FR but I'm ashamed to admit I couldn't get gold with it. It was fast enough with a few extra bhp, but I was never really in full control and the AI sent me off with the slightest touch.

For the 4WD races I used an Evo I Lancer with no power mods, but all other mods like weight and suspension ect. Sport hard tires were used as well. Very fun race, I passed for first with only a few feet to go.

The FF races, I feel like I cheated with a RM GTi!

Not sure what I used for the FR races! :dopey:

F1 races were with both the 10 and the 07, but the 07 is better!

I just did the 400hp 4wd event on cape ring in my fully modded/tuned 139 hp 1997 Suzuki Alto Works RS-Z and came in first place by 2 seconds, it was an epic 2 laps... anyone who complains just needs to give themselves a challenge, that's what racing is about, enjoy the 1000+ cars that are given to you at your disposal, and try to unlock what PD has given you....

Just did it in a Daihatsu Move SR-XX 4wd '97. Had it fully upgraded (180hp) but on Comfort Softs. Still finished 6 seconds ahead of the next closest.

I did notice different grids. If you have the Subaru WRX Type C in the grid, he finishes 20 seconds ahead of anyone else and makes it a nearly impossible race to win with a Kei car. If you get a grid without him, it is a lot easier.

With him you need lap times under 3:05, without him you can do it with lap times under 3:15.

I've been grinding the 4WD the last couple of days testing my collection of Subarus and logging lap times. I try to run them all in the 275 - 285 HP range, and it's amazing they're all about the same so far. But, I started with the oldest Impreza '95 and I'm only up to the '98 cars, so hopefully the newer ones show some improvement. Even the '98 22B doesn't perform any better than even the older Imprezas.

top this mates: FR at cape ring - only modifications were sports soft and an oil change to a bmw.....

wait for it

120......

wait for it

DIESEL!!!! I was stunned. i had no expectations of winning with that car. but when i was in the lead after the third lap, i stopped doubting the power of the oil burners

that 120d handles really sweetly

FF races : Golf IV GTI
FR races : standard BMW M5
4WD races : fully tuned RUF CTR2 (I know, way to powerful but where else could you use
this sweet car in a race)

How how listing your PP numbers as well guys. Might help everyone become a better judge of what mods they need.

I found the Integra Type R racecar in the UCD today. Although the FF races are restricted to 147 kW (200 BHP) I was able to use it. It has 228 kW (310 BHP). maybe I am missing something or this is a loophole as in the UCD there is no entry for HP. It can be seen in the garage though.

@german wunderkind: There are no power/weight/tire restrictions on the seasonal events, only drivetrain. The power ratings are simply a suggestion.

For the new FF evens I used the latest Golf GTI in stock form on stock rubber (CS). Love that car.

For the new FR's I used the BMW Z4 in stock tune on SH tires. A very mild, but fun challenge.

And for the new 4WD events I used my trusty and otherwise stock Evo X tuned to 375hp on SH tires. Also only a moderate challenge, but kept the events fun.

Sorry about the lack of PP ratings, haven't starting taking mental note of those yet.

I see. It said 147 kW-Class on screen but I guess it is the same as in the Schwarzwald League where you can use every german car although it shows only a certain number of cars from a particular HP-Class.

I've been using every FR car that I own on deep forest and logging my best lap times. I also make notes about drivability and enjoyment. The s2000's have been the most fun so far, but my fastest lap was with the zr1 RM.

Can anybody suggest what FR car would be faster?
Oh, what's your favorite FR regardless of speed? I'd love to buy one and see for myself.

The last 4WD race is awesome, feels like a rally Tarmac event: blind corners, hills, twisting track. Had fun with a 468 PP Audi TTS Coupe 09. 317 HP / 1415 KG / medium sport tires. There was even a HEMI Ram truck in the race!

For the 4WD Challenge on Mt. Aso I used a stock Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R32) '94 fresh from the dealership, added sport/hard tires (to match opponents) only, no oil change. Started at 297hp, ended up just over 300 after trying this a bunch of times...

Not as clean as I would have liked... but I tried!!

ABS 1, TCS 1, auto, line

Just did the two new FF races.

Fuji: Citroen Xsara Rally Car '99 tuned down to 220HP
Eifel: Honda Civic RM

A fully tuned GTI for the FF. Realized how much not-fun that was. A 300hp 1 Series with Soft tires and stock suspension, trans, etc. for the FR. And a fully tuned EVO IX limited to around 310hp for the 4WD races. Had the most fun with the Mitsu.

Used the following cars, all fully stock (with oil change, but I still consider that stock) including whatever tires were on 'em. All cars I hadn't driven before the seasonals, and the closest I had to "recommended" HP:

FF: 2000 TRD Celica Sports M (200 HP)
FR: 1965 Shelby GT350R (300 HP)
4WD: 2002 Acura DN-X Concept (396 HP)

That would have been me! I did that race with my Dodge Ram truck and had a blast. If they weren't fast enough or wouldn't get out of my way, I'd just smash them off the track and blow by. Still took 4.8 laps to catch first place around the last turn before the long straight. This is great fun!

Otherwise, I tried it with my 4WD Audi TTS then again in a Gallardo. Not a lot of competition this way though. More fun with the truck, I highly recommend it.

FF : Integra DC2 with a posh air filter and new oil (rock hard)
FR : Stock lotus carlton with an oil warning light
4WD : not yet started.

Often it's not the car you use, it's the cars the computer uses, that defined the difficulty. There are some combos that are impossible to beat with the above cars. After a few races I know if it's time to reload it.

ff = civic ek type R at 140hp and sport tires :D
fr = shigeno ss = sport hard 2 races , sport soft 1 race
4wd = subaru 22b at 340hp sport hard way to easy  (my favorite car IMO)

FR: I did Deep Forrest with an RM Capuccino. I also did the second event with it. It took a couple tries, but I was able to gold those two.

I knocked these races initially, but I have used at least 200 of my cars now. The credit and experience payout is pretty good (compared to other A-Spec events) if you want to get out some of your weaker FF, FR, or 4WD cars to play. In total, I have gone from 32.5 to 33.5+ from these seasonal events alone.

Used the Sunfire GXP concept for the FF Trial Mountain race last night, it was fun but less challenging than I expected (and I am not that great of a driver)
