What cars in GT5 are not real?

I would say while not fake definately unreal would be all the concept cars which in real life are one off handbuilt prototypes that are priceless which are often limited to a very low speed and all the mechanicals/other components are scavanged from the parts bin. Yet in GT5 these cars drive like their production counterparts :/

The Citroen GT isn't "available in reality" btw, to answer that. Citroen first wanted to build it but decided against it since it was too expensive.

They had built a few of them already but I doubt that they sold them, they are most likely still somewhere on their premises.

Because it was created for the older GT games.

The descriptions of the cars in-game will often tell you if the car was made up or not. A lot of the race cars aren't real.

I think it was taken from GT4 and put into GT5, like a lot of cars in the game. GT4 had no cockpit view.

Concept cars are real, they were shown in the Auto shows. I think the OP was wanting to know just those cars were done by Gran Turismo series themselves.

Citroen GT Road Car is real with a normal engine and stuff only it hasn't been sold to anyone... ever and never will be...

💡 Today I wondered how much would you need to give to Red Bull for them to build you a real working X2010... (maybe not with 1500BHP, but standard F1 from today's F1 cars or a smaller turbo-charged V6 would result in around 750BHP or more which should make the car a bit slower but it's not the straight line that's important it's the aerodynamic and downforce features on the X2010)... would £30,000,000 be enough?

I mean they have the drawings/simulations, they surely made a model of some scale to use it in the tunnel... it's shouldn't be that hard right?... except the G-suit... 8g isn't possible with out a newly designed G-suit... although the flight G-suit wouldn't work as it only works on up and down, and the X2010 would need a side to side G-suit... which would need to be invented...

So why aren't there millionaires/billionaires asking for them... surely I would call up Adrian if I had deep enough pockets... 👍
