speed 12 setup.

Long gears. Soft sport tires or meduim race tires. Add wing with full downforce. 200kg weight positioned opposite side from engine.

Thank you, i was begging to think i was the only one willing to give that beast (speed 12) a second shot. :)

Incedently, your setup is basically the same as mine, cept i dont have quite as much weight on it.

The Ford Gt's are quick in a straight line but brake like **** and weigh a ton. If you are on a track with some sections that give a bit of air, this car will literally nose dive over the jumps. Sweet looking but otherwise not a favourite of mine.
Some people have been dissin the Mercedes SLR McLaren. I have to disagree,I love this car. With the right mods and tweaks this car is a gem. I also love how the built in air brake engages when you stop, this looks sweeeeeet! I also found the TVR Speed 12 is a piece of crap. Very fast when you get up to speed but no traction what-so-ever when you hop this car up.

Callaway C12
I must say I was not impressed with the Callaway C12.

It was very competent in a straight line but through the bends felt like a lumbering giant. I tried it on the 'ring, and it really couldn't keep up with Europe's finest. There was lots of understeer which really made the 'ring a hard course to drive fast on. For me it's a typical American car. Sure footed in a straight line, but rolley poley round the bends, more of a motorway blaster than a track day car.

If I can spare the cash in GT mode I might buy one and try to dial out the understeer, as this car could be so much better.

Ginetta G4
At first I hated this car, as when ever you try to take a fast corner flat out the rear end would break away. So I had to develop a different approach so I could get the most out of this fun little English sports car.

I get the impression that each car is different in GT4. Unlike previous versions of the game, you get a real sense that you can't drive each car the same way. Maybe most people do this on a subconscious level, and they don't notice they are doing it. But for me, I really noticed how different each car was last night. This is a impressive feet by PD, and the turn greatness of this game is starting to shine through past the number of cars and tracks.

I bought it , and I think it's not worth it. Again it's 4WD so you have understeer in the corners (when throttle) . The car just doesn't fit to my driving style. I would say there are many other cars in that price-class which are way better . My opninion.

And 32k is a lot when you're just getting started ...

its the first car i´ve bought with my imported credits from gt3... this car is good... for 32k its hard to find anything better. its already tuned and runs very well, just need tires and settings. easilly wins every race that i´ve entered... (I did a family cup against JGTC cars, :dopey: :dopey: just to see if the golf could handle. it doesn´t, so that´s the limit... 👍 )

disagreed! just took some getting used to.
this car for the $$$ was a good buy, i have been breezing through the supercar festival with ease thanks to this FULLY modified beast!
