What Civic / Tyres to use?

I'm running Eifel in a '97 Civic Type-R with an oil change and Sport Hard. I'ts pretty close, passing the last two cars on the end of lap 5. Anyone have tips for other models / setups that gives a close race.

I absolutely adore this car: RKM Motorsport’s Civic Type R Turbo. I'm inclined to buy another one, strip it to the required weight and only use FC Suspension and LSD. SS tyres are my preferred weapon of choice.

Maybe tune the car REALLY CLOSE to the restrictions. Just don't overtune, or you can't use that car, and you can't undo tunings.

I'm doing fine with a slightly downtuned Civic Type R '01. Not too easy and not too hard.

I'm using an '83 1500 and it's tuned to about 144ish bhp, using a close ratio 5 speed 'box, but no other suspension or transmission parts, and on sports hards. the races are getting harder as I go through them, so may need to progress to sports mediums/softs as I go on.

I find that increasing the IT (initial Torque) LSD on this car really helps with stability for cornering.

I did the whole series today in a bog standard '08 Type-R on Comfort softs. Won the first four races comfortably, only the last race was challenging. Maybe next i'll try comfort medium. This was ment to be a post for drivers who likes a good challenge. Personally i think GT is most fun when driving a car that is just fast enough to beat the competition, no room for error, must overtake effectively.

I used the premium EK Type R, with suspension/drivetrain mods (stock+oil change power level), and Sport Softs...gave a decent challenge on most courses with the DS3. I usually took first in the 2nd half of the last lap.

I did it today, all in just under an hour, I used the Civic SiR '91 model with Stage 1 Engine and Turbo with Comfort Hard, so it would be just above the opposing cars. Deep Forest was probably the hardest of all the races, I over-took the last two cars on the final couple of corners for a win that felt amazing.

First time round I used an SiR-II on sports hard with some mods, but I found I had to upgrade constantly to keep winning, for example I needed to fit a close-ratio gearbox for Route 246. By the end of it I just maxed the car out with something like 300bhp, I had to put 200kg of ballast right at the back to keep the PP within limits, which resulted in a fairly interesting handling trait where it would turn tighter when I lifted off completely in a turn. After that I used a restricted RM Type R for grinding purposes.

Its nice how the AI is somehow improved in this update...
I've used SiR-II on sports hard and mods, and all the way to both 97 and 08 type Rs.
At least now the game is fun and rewarding again.
Btw guys, I'm trying to create the mugen RR 4 door, any suggestions on the red paint to use?

For me the standard 2001 type R was quicker than the premium 2008 type R, better road holding felt like more torque too. I tune the **** out of them right on the 450pp with around 270hp, RS tyres and rebalanced ballast weight. I use these races as time trials lol hate going slow in these cars
