I think Caterhams look good too.

@ Ultrabeat: Really? The Sebring? And I thought I was going to get some heat with the SSR pick...

Well I knew I could count on Famine to show me one that does look good.

Also, if you keep watching the picture for 5 or 10 minutes, you can see the TVR spinning, going through a hedge, getting airborne and exploding as it hits a tree backwards and upside-down.

It's raining.

Are we talking about turing our eyes AWAY or TOWARDS the car? If it's the latter the '99 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Spyder, Aston Martin DB9 Volante and Porsche Carrera GT have to be tops on my list. If I had to choose a 'vert that I don't like pick anything from Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Eagle because it doesn't matter--they all are terrible. Oh and the SSR is rediculously stupid as well.

I like it. I'd love more Chryslers/Buicks/Chevrolets (and by Chevrolet I mean proper American manly Opel/Vauxhall rebadging, not the pitiful Ex-Daewoos we already have.) over here.

I'm sure you love having one of your greatest manufacturer's name slapped onto this beefy 1.0l beast that struggles with speed bumps.

The Matiz isn't a bad car as such, it just ain't a Chevy.

And about the Sebring, no-one could accuse it of being ugly.
It looks so smooth, especially the previous generation (the second pic I posted)

Bit-chin!

ultra: I really don't see a point to the Sebring convertible over here. If you want a convertible, chances are it'll be a second or third car of yours, and at that rate you can afford something slightly better.

I can't see it being that hard to live with. It looks reasonably practical.

See? You can easily fit one single basketball in. What else would you need to carry around?

And it should be reasonably well made.

And (to me) the looks would sell me it.

This has to be one of the single funniest posts I have ever read ever.

You can hardly use it during the winter, I can't really see myself living with one...

I know its personal, but I would certainly stick my hand up and say "that's one ugly car, particularly the previous generation one, that looks like its taken a good beating with the ugly stick".

Sorry and all that (and looks are a very personal thing), but I just don't see it myself.

This on the other hand

is just stunning.

Changed my mind on the Porsche. Saving the 10k to spend on maintenance on this puppy.

Mitsubishi 300GT Convertible fliptop vario cabrio whatever. Stunning. Much better looking then the coupe, and a lot rarer.

No I am not lying it is a real car.

Ask Famine about it, Im sure he knows ;)

@ultrabeat:

1) I was just surprised to see the comments on the Sebring comming from a "furriner" as here in the states the car is pretty much bought up by retirees and rental-fleets. Go to a city like Miami or Los Angeles, and I'm certain a good number of the cars on the roads are Sebrings...

2) As for what I like to call "The Rape of Chevrolet" in Europe, it makes me sad. But generally speaking, do you really want our Impala or Monte Carlo there?

(Monte Carlo)

The only thing I could see being really appealing to Europeans would be the HHR at the moment...

Cancel the Maserati. I'm saving another 25k and buying one of these.

I'd trade my car in a second if I could get that exact one. (Without Rust)

I just really like the looks of it. If people say it's shockingly poor, I don't have any reason to doubt that, but the looks really appeal to me.

What, and risk losing our stellar lineup?

Don't go thinking it's dull, what ever you do...

The Kalos (Aveo over where you are) is basically a Korean econobox.

chevrolet_tacuma_09_02_05.jpg

And the Tacuma MPV. I've had the misfortune to be taxi'd about in the Daepoo version, and it was really uncomfortable and the plastics smelled unpleasant.

So the Monte Carlo and Impala would be a Godsend.

I guess so then. I'm sure Clarkson would LOVE the W-Body cars in the UK, lol...
