I'm not sure but Red Bull is based in Austria and I think the car was built at the base so I'll guess it is Austrian.

ya you see my confusion here lol. I assumed it was Japanese since it's a car made for the game, and the game's made in Japan. But as you all have pointed out, the redbull team is Austrian. Anyone out there own one and can confirm?

Red bull I think is canadian however if its eligible in the super gt champs then it must be Japanese.

For the 2nd time this thread:

IT IS JAPANESE. IT IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE SUPER GT SERIES, MAKING IT JAPANESE

Designed by Adrian Newey and hes part of Red Bull obviously ;-) So i would say british even tho the money comes from Austria.

That logic does not work. The Nomad Diablo is a SuperGT car yet it is not eligible whilst the the older Nissan R92CP is and never was around for the series.

The car was designed with help by Red Bull. If anything in the real world, since in the game it is recognized as the "Red Bull X2010", it would be Austrian since that is where the company is based.

Trust me, it is Japanese. I literally just checked. I know the logic makes no sense. It's also why the Formula GT is eligible for the race. PD made it so any Japanese car can enter, not just actual Super GT cars.

No, it's not. Logic would show it's Austrian.

1. PD is not a car manufacturer.
2. What the game allows is irrelevant. IIRC, there are a few events that allow cars that normally should not be in them.
3. The game recognizes it as a Red Bull X2010. The "Gran Turismo" in front of it means nothing; a 350Z & Ford GT model have GT in front of it, too.

The game says it Japanese so in the game it IS Japanese, no matter whether it is actually Japanese or not but the game says it is so we have to live with that, the car doesn't exist so how do we know it isn't/couldn't be Japanese?

the X1 blob of clay created in Austria?

Me thinks the PD tech monkeys should go through the game and fix some glaring errors 98 MINI is not German its British, Redbull X1 is not Japanese its anglo-Austrian its about as Japanese as Arnold Swartzenegger, Or to add if your feeling really anal about it then it could be classed as Thaiwanese

The game says it's Japanese because the listed manufacturer is GT. In reality, this car really comes from Austria seeing as Red Bull are the folks who, let's be honest, probably created 90% of the car's features/capabilities at their own facilities. PD merely created the idea.

Yes but in the game it is Japanese, and isnt that all that really matters, will you enter it in the european championships and expect it to be entered because it is actually european even though it is stated as Japanese in the game. The fact that a concept car was actually made in Austria is kindof irellevant, because its in the game and the game says its Japanese, whatever is actually the truth, the game says it is Japanese.

The regulations for the Championships in this game are useless. There is a Championship called the SuperGT that "features cars from Japan's popular Super GT series". One would assume only cars from the Super GT/JGTC could enter, not any & all Japanese cars.
Same with the "German" Touring Car Challenge that allows an Alfa Romeo & a Lexus. Same with the "Tuner" Car GP where the field allows anything.

In short, what the game says doesn't mean anything when it throws logic & common sense out the window with these things. Why should I believe it labeling the X2010 as Japanese when it says a German Championship allows for non-German cars or a race made for Super GT cars doesn't actually let all Super GT cars in?

The dmt champs are different because these cars were ellegible for the champs in real life at one point.

I agree the Super gt champ regs are abit strange (I won it in my Minolta) however the reg is all japanese and the game says the x1 is Japanese, whether it actually is or not is another matter entirley, since it only effects us in the game.

All Minis (classic or otherwise) made after '94 were made by a German company (BMW).

The Red Bull X2010 was designed by PD with technical input from Adrian Newey. Despite him working for an Austrian company the design work was undertaken by a Japanese company.

Is this a good time to bring up Bugatti? They haven't been French for a long time... they're in German hands now, of course.
