What did you do in GT7 today?

Started by logging in to get my six-star parts ticket. Then, I took my entirely stock Polestar 5, simply put it on Sport Soft tires, and got a clean P1 for the one-make race that's part of the current weekly challenges. I also did some more laps for the online time trial featuring Gr.4 @ Catalunya National, with the Citroen, and slightly improved my time. However, I don't foresee myself improving said time by about three whole tenths to get into gold range, so I left my best time as-is; I think it was 1:17.005, specifically.

What's really cool is that just like my six-star parts ticket for the Christmas login campaign, I got another stage 5 weight reduction, this time being for the Ferrari Enzo, which is worth 500k! What's especially funny is that this is the second stage 5 weight reduction for the Enzo that I now have. Perhaps I should buy another Enzo to modify, since I already have one that I plan to leave as-stock, barring the potential purchase of additional sport tire compounds.

I did the WTC 900 race in the Peugeot 908 - I originally just wanted to test if the car would have a chance of winning, but I was enjoying it and got to midway by dropping down to 3 on fuel mix; I was running on RMs, but only realised during the pitstop that I had no inters or wets available... fortunately for me, the rain that was close by on the radar at the start of the race never transpired, and it stayed dry for the whole race, and I eventually won quite comfortably, albeit with no CRB - but a decent amount of Cr. nevertheless.

Today I discovered that the moon has a "dark side". Who knew?

I got through the "World Touring Car 700" menu book, it has been fun starting all over again. Haven't touched any other features yet (aside from any required licenses) until I finish the café menu books.

Nearly started to collect the real GT3 cars again, but nope. Not giving in.
Did the WTC 800 Championship races again. Chasing the rabbit, first in a 296 GT3. I finished 2nd in the points. Started another Championship in the AMG GT3 Evo. Got to the 3rd race after having a 5 point buffer. Shut it down due to what I mentioned at the start of my post.

Instead, watched some 2025 JCCA TS Cup races and made some liveries for my D-Tuned grid.

A poor reading of the weather led to a terrible choice of tyre thereby sacrificed a heap of prize money at the World Touring Car 700 24 Heures du Mans 30 minute race. 😔

Finished the morning session in traffic at The Glen...

Bought yet another F 3500 B and an Amuse S 2000. Had a few NSX engines available for swap so I did that.

I really wish the credit cap was raised in addition to the Collector Level.

Today I ran the 2 remaining weekly events in my list. The snow race at Lake Louise and the Special Event with the Polestar 5 that I reluctantly bought (we should have a rental option). The Polestar was as bad as I remembered from the online time trial, so I went through 3 stages of weight reduction and threw some sport brakes for a 600 pp build that was at least manageable.

So, I got the daily participation roulette ticket (100,000 cr) and the 6-star ticket for finishing the weekly events (I got the McLaren VGT Gr. 1, nice), and for the rest of the daily mileage I did a VGT race aboard the Alpine. The 4-star ticket also brought 100,000 cr.

So The last couple of days I got my log in bonuses. When I got the engine I checked and found out I have 125 engines. I kinda wish I could sell some of them. Last night I got in my a went to see some nice windmills. There wasn't too much traffic so it was a pleasant surprise. After I finished seeing the windmills I got some credits as thanks for participating

Prepared the Chevelle to PP700 for the Le Mans 30 minute race

842 HP

Here it is having its gear ratio checked. Top speed 201 mph.

In the actual event, I was helped by a monsoon downpour.

2 laps on RH , FM = 2

3 laps on IM with FM = 6

The final 2 laps I threw caution to the wind and burned the IM tyres down past the radial ply to the air molecules beneath. Limped home to eke out a 1.3 second win. Lesson learned.

I decided to attack the green branch of the Power Pack first, and one race there easily covers the daily mileage, and for the 4-star ticket I got the Genesis Gr.4 car. I bought the two more modern TT's from Audi to complete book 50 and the 4-star ticket got me 10,000 cr (meh)

After two hours of attempts, I achieved gold on Master S-8. I switched to the Dualsense after only mustering 2:10.0xx with a wheel. My ghost was 2:09.351, and I stayed mostly neck-and-neck until I got a stronger line and exit for the final chicane and pulled off 2:08.971.

Just a few attempts before getting my gold time and about to give up, I discovered I could turn on the ghost for the demo as well as my personal best. While I couldn’t keep up with the demo, it proved to be helpful for those last tenths I needed.

I'd like to appeal a penalty (and CRB disqualification)

Le Mans 30 minute PP700 race

842 HP Chevelle. Lots of speed, not so much in brakes.

Lap 3, wet track, suddenly hit with a 3 second penalty out of apparently nowhere at about the first chicane. 🤔

Race ends, no Clean Race Bonus. 😡

The replay reveals that there was a Yellow Flag (which I did not see at the time) and although I pretty much immediately hit the brakes, I could not slow down the old Chevelle as fast as the Ferrari 458 Italia Gr 4 in front of me and sailed on by,

24 second video follows...

How many laps do you get out of the Chevelle? I might try it at the 700 LeMans race

Eduardo Fritas, race director during 24hr Le Mans, agrees with the marshals close to the Daytona Chicane that you ignored a yellow flag and will be penalized 3 seconds and loss of CRB.

Best was 3 laps on IM tyres, leaned off the fuel mixture, and short shifted. That was on a wet track which helped with tyre wear, and I was also careful to not apply too much torque in lower gears. High torque in that car can absolutely kill IM tyres in 1.5 laps, even on a wet track.

The first 2 laps were on RH, when the limiting factor was fuel. I had to lean off a little to make it to the end of the second lap.

I recommend trying the Chevelle. It's an adventure.

-Did the GT ONE race on Le Mans
-Put a livery on my 911 rally car and drove it around Nurburgring Reverse

I'm running race A this week...a lot. I finally taught my brain that countersteering = death. Should be fun when I try to drive a normal car again. Also, made myself feel dumb by wondering why I couldn't change the oil in my kart. Got that sorted. 👍🤣

Happy New Year, all!

@kjb / @ScottPuss20 together you just reminded me of two great things I wanted to do...drive the Espace AND the Nurb' reverse course, hmmmmm..... 😁
