What did you do in GT7 today?

Two runs through the rain and penalty race at Le Mans. The first in my trusty Mclaren F1 long tail and the second in a Ferrari GT3 (Not the newer one) I wanted to see which was faster at 700PP but the rain meant no way to decide which was best....
For me i just doing Gr.1 Prototype Races at Tokyo Expressway.

Hope you're doing well mate.

EDIT: Apologies for the double post.
Thankyou! Hopefully the last hospital stay for the foreseeable future. Would rather be playing GT7 instead.

As for me I guided a friend into buying a PS5 and GT7 for his sons. Whilst waiting for the game to download we took turns trying to beat each others score on the music rallies. I was fastest of the four of us but mainly due to experience not so much talent haha.

Yesterday night bought the last Legend Car...
...and now with money enough to complete the full car collection...

Weekly challenges done. My six-star ticket granted me this beast.

A three-time Le Mans winner and 2025 WEC championship winner, the Ferrari 499P isn’t my personal favorite of the crop of LMDh/LMH machines. I prefer the raw American V8 sound of the Cadillac V-Series.R in real life and the pace of the Porsche 963 in-game. However, the Ferrari is pretty capable at 800 and 900PP.

It is a bit of a handful at 900PP if you plan to do the Suzuka WTC900 race, especially exiting corners like the Casio Triangle where the car will shout Italian profanities at you if you’re not careful on throttle. In other words, sudden power oversteer. Throttle control is key, though don’t be afraid to use traction control if you’re not comfortable yet.

Today has been very fruitful, finished the weekly off yesterday. Been doing power pack and got 800 stars ✨ now and got a million credits plus two 6 star tickets plus 6 star car ticket. Got 1 million each from two 6 star tickets and a Peugeot L500R hybrid which I sold for 516,000 credits and had a total of 36, 200.000 credits so I bought the McLaren F1 GTR BMW 95 and still have 20 million left for the Mercedes or Alfa for extra menu books. Still grinding 😁 power pack has been very rewarding.

The rabbit hole you sent me down was deep. And rewarding. One of the many resources that ChatGPT unearthed was this reference document which, along with some great livery advice, contains 27 PAGES of HSV equivalents to Real Car Paint colors.

Given the difficulty of matching decals to Real Car Paint (which the author discusses in detail), I'm thinking it may be better to use the free HSV version instead and thus be able to match the decals more accurately and with less effort.

PS I liked the process that ChatGPT used to get your purple. It looked for the official name of the paint based on "purple" plus the car model, then searched for photos based on that paint name, then sampled the color from the photos, then used Python code to determine the HSV values. It took a while!
I second Possum's find on gran turismo colour matching 100%. the GT7 Real Car Paint HSV best guess values screen PDF is pure GOOOOLD!

This will be very useful, thanks!

Speaking of which, I tried putting the finishing touches on my replica livery of the #78 Akkodis Lexus from this year‘s Le Mans but the livery editor kept freezing.😒

So I chose to do a custom race on Grand Valley at dawn in a BMW Z4 instead.

mre like what i did this weekend cause its to hot for VR ....2 livery"s or better2 fakers 😅

Finally gave up on Le Sarthe WTC 700 race. Too many random position resets to the back of the pack and/or random track limits penalties. Fortunately it seems to be limited to this race or track.

I'll take my newly acquired Shelby Daytona elsewhere.

I’ve been creating liveries in GT7 since November 2022 but for some reason it took until now to make a design for the Lexus RC-F GT3.

This is Akkodis ASP’s no. 78 car from the 2026 24h of Le Mans, one of my favorite racing liveries of the year so far. This took a few days to create but I‘m quite satisfied with the result. What do you guys think?

So my folks got a new ISP for reasons very much unrelated to my PS4's weakening abilities to connect to WiFi, and it seems that every time I boot up the PS4, it's had no issues whatsoever. I hypothesize that the PS4's receiver for the WiFi signal was the component that was weakening, and this new ISP must have a stronger signal that permeates to the PS4 notably better.

As such, I've gotten back into GT7, and I've done the following:

-Got into silver range for an online time trial featuring the Renault R8 Gordini @ Horse Thief Mile. Definitely an interesting car to drive, since it seems to be quite prone to oversteer.

-Got into gold range for both an online time trial featuring the Aston Martin DB11 @ Interlagos, and for the Mercedes-AMG Virtual Motorsport Championship event.

-Bought both the 2016-spec Audi R18 and the Porsche 919, as they were the other two cars I needed for the new bonus menu - though I haven't opted to redeem the prize and get the ticket yet.

-Got a five-star daily marathon ticket that netted me 100k.

-Acquired my first Renault Twingo, a black one with four-digit mileage, as well as Ford Mustang Mach 1 that oddly had no mileage at all.

-Also bought a Yangwang U9, though I haven't tried it yet.

-Did a weekly challenge involving a time trial at Deep Forest Raceway with the BMW M3 (E92) GT. I also recall doing the newly-added Gr.1 Prototype Series round at Sardegna A, for the weekly challenges before that.

As for what's next? Well, Daily Race A looks pretty fun since it features the Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am @ Big Willow, so maybe I'll do some qualifying for that.
