What did you do in GT7 today?

After being away from my PS for the weekend I sat down and did the weekly challenges. Won a McLaren VGT Grp1 with the six star car ticket which was funny because I had sold my McLaren VGT so I could buy a Peugeot 9X8. I also did some more racing so I could buy a Sauber in the Hagerty dealership as its the only Group C car I don't have and the last two times its been in the dealership I've been in hospital so glad to finally get my hands on it.

Today, I mauled the Tokyo 600 race.

I saw that the Renault Espace F1 got a peculiar engine swap: the Nissan VR38DETT from the R35 GT-R. It sounded totally stupid. I bought a new Espace at the Legends dealership, said “f— it” and then upgraded it to the max. I then saw the PP rating: sub-600.

Fossil Fueled already covered the reason as to why this happens (similar instances occur with stuff like the Gr.B-swapped Impreza and LS-swapped Toyota Hiace), so I won’t go into that. However, this glitched Nissan Espace GT-R Supervan is an absolute weapon.

I was lapping the rear stragglers (the Viper and Jag) a lap before the end of my first stint on lap 6. I was churning out 1:57s in my first stint and even reached into the low 1:56s towards the end of the race before lapping the Viper and Jag for the second time. This was total domination…

Strategy: Hard slicks, FM1 at the start to get ahead of everyone, then FM6 for the rest of the race. LICO for a second or two before basically every corner, pit on lap 7 for fuel and fresh hards. With tuning, wheelspin is virtually nonexistent unless you stray onto the wet parts of the circuit. Otherwise, this 1042-horsepower behemoth is very easy to drive. There’s more understeer than anything here.

I’m sure someone with a proper sim rig can get into the 23’s, unlike this pleb, but it’s clear that the GT-R Supervan is more evidence as to how broken the PP system can be.

Tonight, I did a thing!
(extra points if read in Jezza's voice)

2026 LMGT3 TF Sport Corvette winner! Thanks @Panoz for helping me ID a decal so I could finish it!

Replying my own comment because I just learned that Clarkson has cancer; and he, the Hamster and Captain Slow helped me overcome my own severe depression after losing my wife 8 years ago precisely due to cancer...

And I feel so...
I can't even...

Man, Screw cancer with a big F...

(yes I know this is not GT related, sorry about that)

I made a modern version of the Porsche 911 police cars that were used in Sweden in the 1960's and 70's. Not sure about how the front of the car turned out, I might redo that.

4 laps of Le Mans in the Porsche 963 against the normal Ai Pro all in the same car. Finished 3rd .9 behind 2nd and 1.9 behind the winner. Set a personal best lap in the car. The only change I've made to it is to put TC onto 2 for stability reasons.

I raced an 1-hour race in Spa with next week 24hrs of Spa car roster (as GT7 allows that.... no M4 GT3 no C8 GTR no 720S GT3...)
It's shame that there weren't a 24 cycle Spa edition to choose for a custom race....

Working my way through the Power Pack. Just did the Gran Turismo 500 at Fuji. I got the 5 star ticket from that race and a 6 star ticket (engine) in the Nürburgring section for completing the same race. Which answer a question I had about if you hit a certain amount of stars but you're not in a particular section, does it give access to that icon?

Because I'm not jealous( really, I’m not… seriously, I’m not, not one bit… didn’t I say I’m not?) of the members that have created Gran Turismo 2: Beige Edition, I have however, been inspired and started building some GT7 Back to Basics models(nice try).

At least in GT7 there are some parts players can use to build lesser trim models. So happy sniff watery eyes sniff for players that will have access to GT2BE.

… and no, I’m not jealous.

Phenomenal work, I really wanted these so will add these to my collection tonight!
Appreciate it, mate! 🤝

It‘s my favorite Manthey design so far, the vintage silver in combination with the black carbon parts fits the 911 so well.

After the last few weeks ι changed my mind (I preferred to have one car per type of car model) and came up with the idea of buying more GT3 and Hypercars to have them race ready (without changing colors or settings) for my custom races!!! It's far away more fun to play!!!
Having given up online racing for a few years now and focusing on weekly races, time trials and recently Power Pack races to win several prizes.
At least the PD gave a basis for someone to earn more money from the weekly events because from the main structure of the game it took a long time to make a good fortune...

Retuned an old GT SOPHY Trans-Am grid. Much better and competitive. This is where the game shines for me. Getting those cool to me race set ups.
