Fun at the Glen.

Completed all three of the new events at Watkins Glen on hard. Used a tuned Camaro Z/28 for the first event, my 700PP C6 ZR1 for the second one, and my 800PP BRZ GT300 for the third one. I also swept through the Watkins Glen Circuit Experience with all gold in a matter of minutes. Doing the new race events first really helped with learning the track beforehand.

Really happy to have another real circuit in the game, especially an American one. I hope Sebring or the Pikes Peak course are on the cards in the future.

After update 1.17;

Cars bought today;
  • Toyota 86 GT '15 (Extra menu 1.)
  • Toyota GR86 RZ '21 (Extra menu 1.)

The things i did;

  • Completed Extra Menu 1,2 and 3. Only needed to buy two cars. The rest of them i had in my garage already.
  • Completed the Circuit Experience for Watkins Glen, everything gold.
  • Completed all three new events on Watkins Glen. This track is a lot of fun.
  • Completed the online time trial with Bronze. Going to try for Silver tonight or tomorrow.
  • And to complete the day i did some Spa 1 hour and Le Mans 30 mins several times.

I also got a 6 star ticket for the daily km's which gave me 500.000 credits. Overall, good fun today on GT. I really enjoyed myself.

So, today I've won the LS7 in that 6-stars ticket, did a couple of laps at Watkins Glen (nice track, very fun) with the R8 Evo and further tweaked my cars.
After that, I've tried to do the WTC700 at La Sarthe with my 8C GT4, came second but it looked good while doing it :cheers:

I got the 6-star ticket for completing the new Rotary/Mazda menu... and got a lousy Honda Civic engine worth just 27,500 Cr... on a 6-star ticket :angry:

So far, that's 14 spare parts that I own, 11 for cars that I don't own and an average value of 11,500 Cr. each - and I've not used or needed/wanted any of them...

You can stick that in a Mini Cooper though.

Honda
K20C1-Civic-'20 (Honda Civic Type R '20) - Honda Civic (EK) Type R '98, Honda Integra (DC2) Type R '98, Mini Cooper S '65

Nothing exciting. Did the Circuit Experience on Watkins, which I've driven plenty in various NASCAR games. What a great track and a pleasant surprise addition. (Where's my shifter cart? lol) After that, I continued doing Circuit Experiences. I also bought that Suzuki VGT, in yellow of course.

neither of the two used cars that you can't win and are needed for the extra menu books (also the 1983 Toyota Corolla Levin 1600GT APEX (AE86)) are available in the UCD at the moment, and the Corolla won't be for a while as it last sold out on 6/18. BRILLIANT time-gating, Wile E. Yamauchi; sheer, unadulerated BRILLIANCE!
You must be the one who didn't buy them. ;) Still writing, haven't downloaded the update yet. But I shall...

I hadn't bought the NSX on the Plus account, and though I stopped posting the updates, I do keep track of the UCD (and Hagerty's) rotation. I did previously buy or otherwise owned the rest of the UCD cars there, and all of the UCD cars on the GTP account.

That sounds familiar. On the GTP account, I have 4 completely worthless common parts for which better substitutes can be bought (worth an average of 6,675 Cr.), 10 usable common parts (worth an average of 8,450 Cr.), 2 S-class parts, the aforementioned Civic engine, and the Z4 race engine (the latter picked up today from the cafe). On the Plus account, I have a worthless common part (worth 6,000 Cr.), 2 usable common parts (worth an average of 10,000 Cr.), 2 S-class parts, the Z4 engine and the C6 Corvette engine (the latter picked up today from the cafe).

Completed the Circuit Experience for Watkins Glen not gold on everything, that's next... LOL!! Love The Glen! Wonderful technical course. Tweaked my DB9 and ran a 800pp race at Sard... Came in 4th. I know I can run faster! God's do I love Aston Martin!!! Completed 1 of the extra menus (only needed 1 car for that).

Will run the daily and other races tonight. Still lots of work and grinding to go. Using a controller may not be the best thing. It's still fun!!

Today I drove almost 1500km 😅
And every single one was a pleasure to drive.
What a great Game.
Oh, and before I forget, I bought some Cars and downloaded a few cool Liveries to make the best of the new Beauties.
Did some Scapes and enjoyed watching some of my Race Replays.
So far I’ve driven almost 50.000km so yeah, I think I can definitely say I‘m in love with GT7.

Made some new friends. 😇

Bought the Jaguar for the trophy, then completely forgot about it. Bought a couple other cars that I needed to complete the new thingies. Did not install the DETT that I won as I like all the cars it can go in and can’t decide.

Turned off TCS and found the transition much easier than anticipated, it just feels ‘organic’. Until I raced the big-boy cars, yeesh!

Ran the heck out of the Glen. What a great course, perfect for American FR’s.

I was sceptical and not remotely interested in liveries, scapes etc when game released, then had a play with liveries the other week and really enjoyed it. Spent too long tbh, but I did it over remote play at home to my pc whilst 'working' so was all good... :D
Some kind people converted svg's for me in that master thread. Time just whizzed by, browsing and implementing decals, fully made liveries by other users, then taking the cars to various scapes. Really addictive and like I say surprisingly enjoyable.

Must say the cars and scenery in scape mode are utterly spectacular/gorgeous. Shame I don;t have time, unless i want to barely actually drive cars, but could spend hours and hours creating cars, then taking them to loads of scapes. Think it taps into my barely used for years creative side...

Hope you don;t mind, I just tried sending friend request, but kept changing to 'Add' again rather than 'Sent'...

yeah. sent a couple of other request from my ps app at same time, where the 'add' button changed to 'sent' after doing it.

for some reason yours just stayed at 'add'. Wondered if maybe you had blocked me or something at some point :D

killed my app process and tried again, but no joy...

It doesn’t show one, my settings should be open though. What’s your PSN?

Found it in your profile, sent you one.

I set the ps4 to update the game this morning and then my day went to hell. I'm just having dinner now at 11pm :ouch:

Too late now to check out the new stuff, but after 3 long support calls, two trips to the store, finally better wifi coverage in the house. No more hickups and having to reboot the thing every day, sometimes multiple times.

Tomorrow! (hopefully)

I came back to the GTP account after the Hagerty's/UCD dealer refreshes and started ticking off the circuit experiences I hadn't golded yet. First up was Blue Moon Bay Infield for 800,000 Cr. I then made the mistake of trying Fishermans Ranch. It took almost 150 miles, but I turned it into 2,000,000 Cr. of pure gold, which I turned into the 2 new cars.

Bought the cars needed for the new menu books but missing the NSX. Also did the 1hr Endurance at Red Bull Ring that AMG is so op even in the rain but was no match for the mustang.

The NSX should be back soon. The only cars that have been gone from the UCD longer are the 2010 AMG SLS AMG, 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z, 1997 Toyota Supra RZ and the 1991 Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo, and there were 4 sell-outs tonight. Nice job with the Mustang.
