What did you do in GT7 today?

For tonight all my attention was directed towards this Thoroughbred which is pure adrenaline on the track, just begs for more, and is only happy when you set it loose. Livery coming along nicely, still not happy with the hood but will continue to work on this tomorrow. And now off to bed, I'm supposed to wake up in four hours from now :scared:

Today, I told Sarah what she could do with herself several times…NO SARAH, I DONT ALMOST HAVE IT!!! I nearly broke my wheel, almost tossed my ps5 out the window and put my head through my sim rig monitor trying to make sense of drifting in GT7. Pretty sure I can drift an autocross course in my fwd Mini cooper S with more success than anything in this damn game. It’s like an out of control pendulum with wildly variable front end grip. It’s almost like they don’t want you to find drifting fun. Just aggravating as hell.

And I have like 100 engines now. Lol.

WTC in Sardegna. It's actually an enjoyable track to race on. Challenges you to focus and really hit your marks. One of these days I'll catch that AI.... 🤣🤣🤣

Ohhh right. The way you worded it made it sound like you’d done a WTC800 at High Speed Ring!

Yeah, Sardegna is my go-to. GT500 NSX or AMG CLK make it ridiculously easy. Usually win by over a minute. No rain to ever catch you out, and it’s a nice circuit to enjoy like you mention. I tend to spend a lot of time there trying out different cars.

Downtuned Gr2 / Gr1 is the way forward!

Anyway, as for what I’ve been doing lately (apart from acquiring engines and 10k prizes) I bought the S15 Touring Car, and it’s honestly one of the nicest handling cars in the game. Even with a turbo upgrade and running 500bhp+ it’s so balanced and silky.

I might hunt down a nice livery for it today, and do a few WTC700 events in it.

PD should do more of these Gr4 Touring Cars!

This morning after my meeting was cancelled and the kids are ok, house chores done, went straight to finish my Thoroughbred. More than satisfied in how it looks. Drives like a dream and eats a lot of 700PP for lunch. After a few custom races with all my five american GT4's, I'll try if I can do some euro ones too, and see what liveries I can come with for them (won't be the same for all don't worry).

Golded Watkins Glenn circuit experience and waltzed my way through the 3 new events.

This 90 minutes of content per update philosophy is going to kill me. Human Comedy update was good, some of those missions were a proper challenge. If only we could grind those events or custom races had a good reward.... I really need some more endurance races. 1hr, 2hr, 12hr, 24hr, whatever they throw at me, I will be happy.

Now, back to Spa 1hr.

All events at Sarthe unless otherwise noted.

Disproved a claim that the suspension, drive-train and downforce values for the '03 M3 were not usable with the M4 swap. Not only are they usable, but are very good in fact (at least Pra’s are).

Bought a Veneno, de-tuned it to 700 and had an OK race (poor weather conditions didn't help). Re-tuned it (per @F1gtr97's settings) and smoked the field. I came away so impressed that I'm actually going to Tokyo (something I rarely do) with it next.

Tuned the Veneno to @Badfish 2’s spec and won at Tokyo. I won’t say it was pretty though, the driver left a lot to be desired.

Tuned the Veneno with a variant of F1’s 700 and blasted Sardegna. This car is insanely good.

To-do (I’m SPENT and will finish tomorrow, see item #3, lol):
Test the Veneno at Spa.
Test and compare Pra's Escudo tune to @madmyk's at Sardegna.
Play something different for once, Fallout 4 I think.

Day 1 of Covid isolation and also the start of external work on my apartment block - already had an object hit my window, so I've taken the precaution of moving my TV and PS4. And I've already invented a new game - Gran Tennismo.

In other news, I did the WTC 800 at Sardegna for the first time - don't like the track much, and could only manage 2nd place.
Damn. Hope you have nothing more than the headache. The newer variants, while more virulent, seem to be less severe.

Gran Tennismo looks interesting.

It's turned into a cough now, which is getting annoying, but otherwise it is OK for now, thanks :)

It's very similar to GT7 - it's brilliant until the servers stop working.

Started a New Account and new Career. Already have platinum and going for all cars is just too boring to grind. So a new career with only doing whatever i like. No grind, no looking for best paying races...

Seems as long as i just drive Daily Race A i stay DR: E. :-)

I didn't have much time to play as I just needed to be up long for clothes to finish drying. So I worked my Escudo livery a little bit more. I found decals that are similar to original but I also added a few of my own ideas. I have to find a way to grind that I enjoy. I love the Tomahawk at Tokyo not so much because I blew away the AI but I enjoyed trying to tighten up my pace and improve my lap times. That has always been the most fun part of any racing game for me the little improvements here and there. I enjoy taking different cars out to tracks and tuning and tweaking them. I like LeMans but I don't want to do it every day and I don't want to spend 1 hr on Spa. I think I might have to rotate the races do Spa one day, then Sardegna, then LeMans and maybe throw the WTC 700 in or something to keep me from getting bored

Took the Porsche 962 out to Spa just for the credits as I purchased the Jag yesterday to complete the 3 Legends trophy and the workout ticket. 4 star ticket was 10,000 credits. Went back to see Mr Hagerty, who sold me a Jaguar XJR9 '88. Took it to LeMans for a shakedown. Managed to get under 700PP using a tune from @Burnedrubber from GT6, with a little gearbox tweaking and full downforce. Fastest lap 3:57**. Totally planted to the tarmac. Did 8 laps of the WTC700. Only rained for 1 lap, so only had to pit at the end of lap 6 for a splash of fuel. 6 laps at FM1. What a racecar. So impressed, I got it a new Jaguar livery.

Did my daily and got what seems to be, for me at least, a very rare ticket. A 5-star which gave me 500k that I desperately needed after buying the Roadster and the Escudo a few days ago.

Other than that, just been abusing Luca, in the good kind of way. I have a madness with that glitch, I want to see if I can ever get more than 30k from the 4-star.

How do you start a new account. I tried but it just linked to the one already on the ps4?

You need to create a new PSN on your console. If you stick a random dot before the @ in the email you use for your main PSN you can use the same email.
When you set up a new PSN you can select your location and this then allows you to play in Asian lobbies or Americas lobbies. Or you just make another uk account

Thanks for the info. I'll try again. Cheers

You did it the easy way. I made new email accounts for for both of my other accounts. So I have like at least 4 different email accounts just for PSN.I wish knew about the random dot thing :D

Booted the game back up after playing with Group 5 cars in PC2, at The Glen. Wanted to see how my field of Group 5(CSL, 930T, ZG, Pantera, BB512 & 308 GTS, KGC10) converted cars, did in a Custom Race. Was a good race and good to watch the replay. However, it’s just not the same. I’d love there to be dedicated race cars from that era, in GT7.

The Silhouette Skyline would be one and some proper Porsche 935 turbos, Ferrari 512, Lancia Beta Coupe and Silvia would do me.

Anyone with a T300 try this:

Rolling Stone mission Mazda Showdown in the Le Mans car
FFB 5
Sensitivity 2
Cockpit cam

What an absolute blast. Some of the best fun I've had in the game trying to get gold. Really showcases what the humble T300 is capable of as well, very immersive experience.
I got the gold, but did have racing line on

I decided I would continue my immersion experience this week with Mazda. I ran the Atenza Gr3 road car at the Tokyo 12 lapper and it was competitive but it needs some work. It handles beautifully but it was not fast enough on the big straight. I will work on gearing and fuel economy to try getting a win. As well, I would like to race some Miata's tonight.

I think I will build a Gr5 spec Miata and race the touring car version Miata from the dealership after I sort out the Atenza.

Taking full advantage of the unlimited engine swap glitch, given my poor luck with these annoying roulette tickets.

Yesterday, I got the C7 Corvette engine for the ND Roadster (MX-5) and did a Le Mans WTC700 build with the car. Quite squirrelly if you get on the throttle too early, even with an upgraded suspension and LSD. That’s to be expected with such a powerful engine in such a small car. Overall, the LS-swapped Miata gets smiles from me.

Today, I got the 911 engine for the old VW Beetle and Bus. I haven’t used it yet, but think I will put it in the Beetle tomorrow.

I finally caved and put slicks on my Silvia to try to pass WTC700.

Somehow with getting 3rd, 5th, and 4th in each round respectively I was able to scrape together a 2nd overall.

I’m definitely going to come back to this and re-attempt gold, there’s more I can now squeeze out of the suspension now on RHs, but I’ve been on this car for about a month and a half and I need to do some other stuff.

Speaking of other stuff, I had no clue the KTM would accept dirt tires, so guess what I’m using for menu 37:

This was completely unmodified. I couldn’t get it around Fisherman’s ranch quick enough and I need to have rreeeaaallly good luck with AI on Alsace to have any hope there, so I’ll probably try them again with an upgraded cam.

Exactly the same I did and have done in the past.
I enjoyed driving every single Kilometer in GT7.
Honestly, this Game is killing me.
I play Video Games since I was a little Kid, but GT7 just got this Magic.
I‘ve been there since the very first beginning in 1997 and was immediately blown away what PD and Mr. Yamauchi have created.
Now it’s 2022 I’m an old Man yet as soon as I fire up GT it brings back the little Kid in me.
It’s my way of being able to totally dive into a Virtual Reality of being a Race Driver and let myself get immersed and soaked into the illusion of sitting behind the Wheel of a Car and driving it.
So yeah, that’s what I did today.
I was a Race Driver 🙂

Oh man! Gotta love the OG track! I've been holding out on the AMG. I'm not a huge Benz fan (ass end always looks funny 🤣🤣). I will for sure run that NSX though. That is a sweet ride! I'm a huge Aston Martin fan so they are usually my go to rides. I just got the Porsche GT that I actually really enjoy. I know, so many great cars out there I need to just try them all!!!
RAAAAAGED....at my inability to get better than second in the kei-car races.
Pulsar, I did the same thing!! 🤣🤣🤣 Took me a while to find the right car and find the right set up. I ended up winning with the Honda S660 and using praianio's tune (damn I hope I spelled his user name right!) keep grinding, you'll get it!!

@Pulsar-NX my bad not Praianio's tune, it was Exeter. Sorry! I've found both of them to have some excellent tunes. One of these days I will see if I can come close to any of theirs....LOL!!!
