i pitted at the end of lap 11 to put on inters and refuel then at the end of 18 for fresh inters and refuel to make it to the end. last time
 
After countless hours of just faffing about, I'm now making a concerted effort to 100% everything. Last night I did the final two circuit experiences (Fisherman's Ranch, surprisingly easy, and Tokyo Central, an absolute arse), all the music rallies (bit pointless really) and the final couple of license tests. All I have left now is to pootle my way through the remaining world circuit events, although that does include practically every chilli race. Hoping they're not too painful!

I decided to take a number of different old muscle cars to various rally courses (dirt and snow) and try to put together some stylish looking laps. Not as much about lap times as it was about trying to string together sectors in as pleasant a way (aesthetically) as I can. Let's be honest, these are muscle cars... They're heavy front engine rear wheel drive torque monsters. They're not exactly the ideal choice for GT7's rally circuits.... but that's half the fun. ;)

For starters we have a 1951 Ford Custom Rat Rod (I told you these were unusual choices). This is a wild lap (lap and a half really). It wasn't my fastest lap by any stretch (it was my 4th actually...lol) but it certainly has the most dynamic replay... so here we are.



Next, I took an old beat up retired TV icon out to the mountains of Canada for some fun in the snow. These old boats really are ducks out of water in this environment, but I still managed to put together a smooth lap. It's like doing ballet in army boots.

Lastly, I took an old rusty Dodge Super Bee out to Fisherman's Ranch for some yumps. :cool:

I had a great time with this, it must be said. I'm certainly going to give the rest of the old American cars a go in the near future.

Today I finished an extra menu book by buying 2 Nissan Silvia's from the UCD.

Placed 3rd in a Nissan Skyline race on Deep Forest Raceway using the Nismo 400R. 5 laps, CRB. Love driving the 400R, bought 2 more colors 2 weeks ago. Waiting for a new one popping up in the LCD.

Raced Le Mans 700 twice using the Ferrari 458 Italia Gr 3. Messed up the first race by pitting early, taking a gamble on intermediates when the rain was coming. Leaving the pits, the showers hit... for like 10 seconds, after which the track dried up completely and I was forced to pit again. Ended 10th place, 30 seconds behind.

Took first place on my second attempt, CRB aswell for a nice 825,000.
 
Since some months I'm doing my own races thanks to Sophy and setting the cars or having differents units with other liveries.

Today I did a JGTC GT500 race at suzuka and yesterday some laps and Nurburgring Nordschleife with Group C.



But My best choices are Lemans with 60s prototypes (GT40, P3/5, 917, etc) and 50s with the Maserati A6GCS/53, Aston DB3s and the Jaguar D-type.
With the VR2 its just thriling

Redid the weekly Kei car race on the 'Ring yet again with a friend observing in SharePlay, listening to the lashing rain squalls about 3 minutes in via headphones. The nature sounds are SO realistic and the lighting progression is gorgeous.
 
Hi there!

Today I updated my Nordschleife lap time board with 3 new entries.

The Peugeot 205 GTi '88 lapped a 8:18. This car has sport medium tyres and it is midly tuned. I just can't drive it very well, it is a car that just doesn't click to me. Go figure.

The Alfa Romeo Mito '04 on other hand it was a nice surprise to me. I never gave this car much driving time, but I just found out that it is super fun to drive. Responsive and tossable into corners! My car had just the sport suspension, the original comfort soft tyres and the sport parts. Lap time was 8:44.

I gave the Autobianchi A112 Abarth a second go today. It was the car of one of my very first Nurburgring videos and today I drove it again with the same set up only changing the tyres. This time with sport medium rubber. Managed a 8:24 against a 8:38 from my first try.

Finally finished the last two races to get to 100% completion apart from the car collection and the 50s Mercedes race car for the extra menu.

Completing the cars might still take about a year or so but it is definitely a goal.
 
Today I was looking to buy the Mercedes CLK LM. In order to be able to purchase it, I had to find 8,5 million credits. I was 3,5 mill shy so I started my personal grand tour...
*Le Mans WTC 700 = 825.000cr
*Spa Francorchamps WTC 800 = 1.500.000cr
*Sardegna WTC 800 = 775.000cr
*Tokyo Highway WTC 600 = 550.000

Then I made a Lewis Hamilton tribute livery

Bought a second Porsche 992 GT3 RS to turn it into a slightly modified, realistic track car similar to the Manthey GT3 RS: 600 HP @ 1300 Kg with SS tires, racing brakes, fully adjustable suspension, racing clutch & gearbox, racing air intake and race exhaust.

The standard version is already a beast but this is even more capable. The suspension and tire upgrades eliminated the last bit of understeer the car had (which was very slight to begin with) and it now handles like a road legal GT3 car. By far my favorite road car in the game!

I used The Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 in le mans 700 it's awesome run. I surprisingly won by around 17 seconds altho it was in easy mode. I'll try on other difficulties but id be surprise if it's possible to win in higher difficulties with this car.

I did same one yesterday but stupidly lost by 2 seconds cause I didn't realize the timing at the end of lap 6. So keep in mindost likely you'll do 6 laps instead of the usual 7 laps on this race.
