The Standard™ must be maintained. You'll take your 9-8 season be mildly frustrated with it, but not all that much because the Ravens' inevitable faceplant means you'll get the AFC North anyway.
and then lose in the first round of the playoffs, as usual.
and because of the mediocrity and playoff spot, not have a decent draft slot to pick up a difference maker at QB or WR or CB or OT or ..

I'm genuinely starting to think the Panthers have made a conscious decision to cause as much chaos as possible this season instead of making a serious effort and it's somehow actually starting to work in their favor. Just think of the mess it'll make if they beat the Rams,

Big effort from a depleted Panthers defence. And the offence stepped up too. Didn't think they could go with the Rams in a shootout but they pulled it off.

Cardiac Cats continue to give me hope. 😅
Unfortunately for us, the wrong Panthers turned up, and Stafford had saved up some interceptions and a fumble and used them in this game.

We need a division shake up. 6 teams have at least 9 wins, and 3 of them are in the NFC West!

I mean, you KNEW what you were getting into with Rodgers yet you willingly chased after him.

The alternatives were Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, Mason Rudolph - we were screwed anyway (and I personally was very much against signing AR).

I suppose we could've drafted Sanders , but honestly it's a long-standing system issue whoever is at QB. They refuse to use the middle of the field, despite having only one true (useless overpaid) wideout alongside a bunch of slot guys and tight ends, and then wonder why other teams find it so easy to defend.

Jets would kill for that consistency. We just end up with QBs who look lost. We couldn't develop a qb and keep them in their prime if we were given one for free. If Tom Brady were on the Jets, he may have won one super bowl.

The last part of this season is going to get real ugly. Hopefully we do finish under 500 and his fans can't keep using the BS "never had a losing season" excuse to justify this ongoing mediocrity. It's way past time to clear house.
I'd sure love a string of mediocrity, personally. Mike Tomlin as new NYG head coach? Sign me the *** up!

The Adam Thielen was already bewildering considering how little the playing time the Vikings have given him with how desperate they were to get him back. Its even worse now that they've waived him. Essentially gave the Panthers a 4th round pick for free.

Interesting to see where he ends up. Buffalo obviously needs a receiver. And as much as it pains me to say it. Tampa would be a good spot for him too.

Maybe the NFL will learn its lesson to never show the G-Men on prime time tv, basically ever again. I've never seen a kicker completely not touch the ball on an XP/FG before. For shame.

That's not gonna happen. New York is too important of a market to not have on the prime-time slot at some point in the season. They don't care if the teams are about as useful as hot dog water. All they care about is the money.

Wow, just wow. Anyone else thinking bountygate after tonight's game? I mean WTAF was that?

And of course the Youtube comment detectives are all screaming "It was intentional, you can see he pulled back, the NFL fixed this game". I guess the NFL paid Koo to sabotage Atlanta's season earlier this year by kicking in every direction instead of straight forward too.

When they say a lack of playing time in Minnesota, they're talking about golf now that it's winter.

Funnily enough, I don't think there's a football team right now that I'd be like, "Dang, they'd be good if they only had a receiver." The only team with a postseason shot is maybe Indy. Not sure I'd want to even bother going anywhere that's not playoff-bound.

Not sure how much it improves them because I've not paid any attention to what they have been doing this season but Thielen ended up getting snapped up by the Steelers. Guess they needed someone else after trading Pickens away.

Playing with Aaron Rodgers is probably a good consolation for not being on a playoff team. That said, they are tied for the division lead at 6-6. Boggles the mind.

It’s not. He’s playing really badly recently. Thielen will barely see the ball.

Washington have just been smegged 31-0 by them nasty vikings. I'm not happy.
That's one way to put it.

He had the same amount of receptions as his last 3 games with the Vikes combined. Steelers are going to win the AFC North holy shnykies

Long live the Saints! (At least for this week anyway). Panthers are now tied for the lead in the NFC South, thanks to them beating the Bucs.

Its Beautiful GIF

Maybe. We'll probably lose as favourites to the Dolphins and Browns but beat the Lions. 8-8 going into the decider with the Ravens. Depends how they do, they probably should've won yesterday but have a tougher run-in.

Two weeks ago people were sure the Colts would be a shoo-in for a Bowl run, now they're desperately trying not to fall to third in their division behind the Oilers Texans after getting whacked by Jacksonville?

It is crazy how things change in a couple of weeks. Panthers are tied for 1st place GB is good again. The Jets are still the Jets and so are the Browns. Shedeur Sanders had a great game but still lost to the Titans to give @Jump_Ace's NY Football Giants have the No.1 pick.

Let's goooo. If you are gonna lose, lose big. Jeremiah Smith? I would rather that, than give Schoen picks to continue to fumble on the goal line when picking players from the draft.

Unfortunately Jeremiah Smith has one more year. I have seen mock drafts have the Giants taking Arvell Reese at No.1. That would be a waste. They would have 4 DEs. Burns, Carter, Thibs and Reese. Scheon might do that though🤣. I know they will trade out if that spot because they need another guard and wr. My Jets are looking bad between them and the Colts I don't who has a worst QB situation. ESPN recently reported that Riley Leonard is injured. Anthony Richardson is already on IR with a broken orbital bone and Jones is done.
I will say this at least Brady Cook hasn't been injured yet. Hopefully he doesn't absorb Tyrod Taylor injury proclivity 🤣
