What do you do when you get bored in GT5 ?

I change to Fifa or Madden NFL :)
 
NHL for me but I only really change games when the servers get stupidly slow.👍
 
well lately I've been doing the one lap ferrari race a few times and buying up the used car lot and doing that a few times when I get time here and there during the day. I have 540 cars now and only need a few multi million dollar premiums to be complete with them. Also Im leveling up to 40 instead of doing lemans again...and filling up my garage in the process. i'm sure tons of people are already doing this
 
When I'm bored, I play The Sims 3. :dopey:
 
When this happens to me, I give my TV a rest, go downstairs to my computer, go on :gtplanet: and get ideas.
 
Play something else. Or... go outside. Or... whatever, you know?
 
i chav up a really posh car from the premium dealership or play MW2 or get told off by wife.
 
Photomode, make a new track. Or switch off PS3 and get into the outdoors :D

OR!!!!! Na, I don't have a life so I don't do anything else :p JOKING!!!! I just go onto the computer, and write music. Or practice :)

I guess that's a better question than the one in the subject line, 'cause if I get bored in GT5, I switch it off (or switch on some remote racing) and do something else.

One thing I like to do that isn't racing either A-Spec or B-Spec is trying out paint schemes. Buying some nice cars to be painted, and then just painting the body and the tires in what I think looks good. And then repaint parts till I get to something I like. And then it's on to the next car. My garage is full of cars I bought for no other reason than painting them.

And yes, I know it's a very late reply, but given I missed it back then, here it is. :)
 
I'm playing GT5 at an incredibly slow pace. I've barely started the professional tier of events. I remember too well when there was "nothing to do" in the other games and I don't want it to happen in this one. If I want endless time trials, I already own Gran Turismo PSP, lol. If I get into an undecided mood, I'll play with the driver suit/helmet combos, or let the game go into demo mode and enjoy the level of the graphics that PD has done. Generally, if i'm that bored, I'll play something else.
 
I read the specs/descriptions of my cars.
 
Buy random cars, whether it be Premium or Standard, and tune them very slightly to about 70bhp more than stock, then take it to the ring. Generally, it doesn't cost that much either.
 
Guitar or football. Maybe leave B-Spec on but I never get bored on GT5.
 
I go to one of my other games that I am playing right now.

Singularity, if I want to play single player game
Halo Reach if I want to play some multiplayer
or
League of Legends, If I want to play something different, but fun. Though I don't recommend you play that game for a long time.

How is Dirt3? Been thinking about picking it up. Worth the money?

There is a lot of other things I do if im bored with GT5 like, work on my real cars, relax with the wife, clean the garage or something, grill out, offroading, etc...

As far as video game wise...I will play gt1-4. I started new careers on all of them so i have plenty on my list to do. gt1~60%, gt2~80%, gt3~30%, gt4~40%, gt5~90% (enduro). I also have a lot of old ps1 and 2 games like the ridge racer serie, NFSs, and colin mcrae rally.

Dirt 3 is awesome, and I'm sort of a "sim snob"- I took Shift 2 for PS3 back for trade because I thought the physics sucked, not horrible, but bad enough that I didn't want to waste any more time w/ it. I liked F1 2010, but it was a little "arcade-ish" and I took it back also to trade in for Dirt 3.

I was so pleasantly surprised with Dirt 3 and how easy it was to dial in force feedback (even though it only uses 200º of the G25's 900º rotation on the PS3). It's just a great all around game and even looks good on a PS3, on a good PC it's incredible. My favorite all-time rally sim is Richard Burns Rally, D3 is not as hardcore, but it's really good and very fun. I'm a wheel user though, not sure about DS3.
 
Bored from GT5, what? :confused: There's so much you can do:

- get all cars
- repaint & tune the cars
- collect all BD tickets, horns, museum cards, gears & paints
- collect all unpaintable multi colored (S) cars
- collect all repaintable bi-colored (S) cars
- complete the game with 100%
- go on the hunt for awesome b-Spec drivers (f.e. K.Yamouchi, S.Vettel, S. Loeb, J.Gordon, A.Senna, M.Schumacher, ...)
- get your b-Spec drivers to lvl 40, dress them nice, put them online & fill their cash box with at least 1mil.

Race online or do the licenses, special events & a-Spec races on a second account again. A lot of fun, mate. :dopey:👍

Or just hang around here on GTPlanet. :)
 
Three things:

1. Lap the Nurburgring/TG Test Track and see if the real life time matches your time (My NSX R lap was 7:55, compared to 7:56 IRL).

2. Buy a slow car from the UCD and try to tune it.

3. Race online.

4. Play some COD or New Vegas.
 
Do one-make races with people online.

Lobby>regulation settings>open garage>select from Reccomended Garage>wait for people>race clean!
 
When I get bored of racing I power cycle the UCD to search for the last car I need, and when I get bored of that I play Bad Company 2, Alien Swarm or any of the other million or so games I've bought on Steam this past year that I have barely touched yet.

(or of course I leave the house)
