Some might say this is too early, but I feel 3 months after release is more than enough time to rate a game.

Please try and rate it as it stands now, not including features that may or may not be added at some point in the future.
 
In GT6's current state, I'd rate it at 6-7....

In essence an evolution of GT5 but it's still not fully realized, which I won't get my Fruit of Looms in a twist over.
 
For me, it's a 6-7. Some really nice car/track additions and improved physics. Lots of missed opportunities, missing features, big promises, weird design decisions etc. Still a good game, just didn't (or maybe hasn't) quite reached what I once thought was the series potential. Shame
 
Being 60 years old and playing gt5 since it came out, and still play it everyday, I find gt6 boring now with so little content and I am a very patient person. I hope things will change in the future or this company will have a real tough time selling gt7. I expected that within 30 days we would have more content and be excited, at least that is what led to believe. But not playing other games other than gt5, (as I don,t like the shoot,em up games) and don,t use the controller, just a wheel, I feel like they (polyphony) let all it,s customers down. Maybe if they had communicated with us we could understand their position. As of right now they are acting very arrogant and makes me feel like they don,t care. Owning a small tv repair shop for the past 38 years I would never treat my customers like they are treating theirs. Maybe its just the way the world is now. But I don,t have to like it. I rate this 3-4, but I rate GT5, 7-8. If GT5 had a better livery system and sounds it would get a 9-10

With what's there right now, 6-7, and that's being pretty generous. It's a driving game with a lot of cars and tracks, and little else. If you like hotlapping, it's pretty excellent. If you want gameplay, it's mediocre at best.

Fully updated GT5 is still a better game, sadly.
 
From my point, earlier, that's where the improved online servers would come in. I'm watching @Siggers' version of an ITCC replay, and it was a very intense race with all cars visible, but for whatever reason, I couldn't see 3 of the guys I was racing with. :mad: That makes it feel boring.
 
In my Day One review, I gave it a 78/100. Right now it's an 82/100 but I clicked the "7-8" button. Oh well.
 
About a 7.5-8. I love the game to death, but there is definitely room for improvement.
 
5 or 6. I still love GT but the Gran Turismo formula needs some new life breathed into it. PD is doing good things with the physics and the premium car models but they need to work on making a better videogame at some point..
 
7-8 purely on improved physics ... it should be 9-10 ... if they delivered as promised ...

(it feels a bit GT4 Prologue .. to me ...same feeling as back then)
 
6-7. With the cars, tracks and physics (camber aside) it's a good game but my patience is starting to run thin when it comes to the updates and lack of things to do at the moment.
 
The online experience is miserable, I feel as though PD has taken it's customers for granted with this title.
Project cars are waiting in the wings ready to snap up all of PD's dissatisfied customers.

I would give GT5 about a 4-5. The entire "standard" car situation destroyed that game.
I would give GT6 about a 7-8. Pretty happy overall with GT6 especially how they handled the standard cars, the UI, and the paint chips. I even typed a large review of my feedback for GT6.

Well, considering how much is missing, Still missing, bad sounds, few updates and the ones we got being miniscule as far as any usefulness. 2-3.
 
10/10 easily the best GT game in the series, and I'd say best driving sim on any console ever.
Just a few of the promised features and some bug wrangling, and I'd give it the same as a racing game.
 
Ignoring the multiple overwhelming failures to implement advertised content, I'd give it a 9/10. Could be 10/10 if camber worked correctly.

Right up there with Forza 4. A different set of functions in each, some better, some inferior. Overall, really, really good.

As the planned future features roll out, I expect to be even more positive. Certainly, I can't complain that functionality described as "future" is not yet here.

Lots of tracks, weather, time change all add up to a variety of experiences which I've not seen the equal in Forza. Any Forza. Went back to the Ring in FM4 and it's SO dreary by comparison with GT.

Photography is well supported, and not limited to one shot at a time like Forza 4.

Online works well, including tuning in the lobby.

Replays are awesome, with multiple cameras.

Software is stable.

The car histories and descriptions are very engaging.

Looking forward to a superior multi-screen experience!

Just because you expected more, doesn't mean that others haven't realized how astonishing the game actually is. Just because the features you wanted aren't in the game doesn't mean you have to question others' opinions on something which is entirely a question of opinion.


Having 1200 cars is astonishing. Being able to drive all 1200 is astonishing. 16 cars on track is excellent.


I'm sticking with my viewpoint which is roughly 8-10. 8 with current servers, and 10 with a slight improvement for servers.
 
GT6 met my expectations and I'm satisfied with what it currently offers. However, it's not a massive leap from GT5 (although the new user interface helps a lot) and waiting for new content is tedious. 7-8 from me.

You may be overestimating my negativity and expectations a bit. I think GT is a very good game for the most part (see my earlier post in this thread). It's just what with all the hate surrounding this game I'm surprised to see such a high rating is all. I meant nothing by it.
 
Which is fair, but you did kinda also imply that the 5 who voted 10/10 are trolls. If I voted 10/10 for Princess Merida's Disneyland/real life actress, would that make me a troll, or a guy who just happens to really like redheads? :) I don't care if other people think it's weird, or abnormal to like redheads. That's my thing, and my choice. "Trolling" is more like voting 0/10 on the poll and then saying how excellent it is on the thread.
