Which is fair, but you did kinda also imply that the 5 who voted 10/10 are trolls. If I voted 10/10 for Princess Merida's Disneyland/real life actress, would that make me a troll, or a guy who just happens to really like redheads? :) I don't care if other people think it's weird, or abnormal to like redheads. That's my thing, and my choice. "Trolling" is more like voting 0/10 on the poll and then saying how excellent it is on the thread.
I suppose I did, for which I apologise.

I just meant it in the sense that it would provoke a "WTF? Clearly it's a 0/10" kind of response and incite an argument about which rating is the "right" one. Which I suppose it nearly did thanks to me. :dunce:

And it's not weird to like redheads (even fictional ones). They're awesome in every way.

For clarification, I meant the live actress who roleplays Merida (search YouTube).

And, that's fine, but I'd like to keep this as a "post your honest opinion without shouting" thread. It's direct feedback about what the community thinks, which can hopefully remain courteous. I noticed that the guy who posted about the 10/10 review is a member of SNAIL, the online racing organizing group. Myself, I also gave a generally good review. I'm tempted to think that the lower reviews "0/10" etc. Are from people who simply don't know how to enjoy the game yet. Maybe they're a drifter and they don't realize, or something.

For clarification, I meant the live actress who roleplays Merida (search YouTube).
Ah, good :D

EDIT: People are going to think I like fictional redheads now :sick:. I don't. If anyone does, fine. Whatever floats your boat :p
*stops digging*

I voted 7-8. It still is a good game, but GT5 in its complete form is better. Could this partly be due to the fact that GT6 lacks a 'Prologue' version? Which is what it should have been on PS3 while the full title releases on PS4. It could still count as two different GT games on the same platform if the trend is anything to go by.

I hate that they release an "incomplete" game. GT5 I put up with it but now its getting annoying. You pay 60 bucks for a game that isn't finished. You end up paying 20-30 dollars more for the 0-400 and max speed later on as a DLC. Now they make it tough to get money, (they want you to buy credits online). Online its all time trials now (boring). I bought this game when it came out and haven't played it in like 2 months now just boring to me... I give it a 4 as it stands...

Bought the game expecting major updates, which to be fair to PD, happened with GT5.
Starting to get a little impatient with the quantity of quality updates - still there is just about enough to keep me interested. But then I don't have very much game time.

5-6

There's a myriad of problems, but the core of the game is what keeps me playing. Assuming most of the major issues are fixed in future updates, and assuming more content is released, I'd bump up the score a bit. But as they say, first impressions...

a 6 maybe 7 if PD are generous with their updates

maybe a 8.5 if they do a massive Spec 2.0 and add the crap missing

play GT6 and then GT5 and tell me whats missing

about Forza 4, I think time has been unkind to it... it looks dull now esp. the GFX engine on some tracks however it is a 2011 game

as for past gen (ie. ps3 and 360), I think GT6 has the crown for gfx

like PD, Turn 10 recycles a LOT of assets, some as far back as Forza 2, in fact some assets in Forza 5 date back to Forza 2

THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, PEOPLE

how the car looks i dont really care about too much however i get a lot of smirks to myself when i see a car that has no obvious use and no one would want to drive in a game

eg. i like Caldinas in real life but where would you use such a thing in GT?

it seems like GT has its roots in trying to please the guy in Japan who has one of these and wants to drive it in the game

I grew up popping quarters into pole position at the arcade. Cars look pretty good to me. :)
I grew up playing Pole Position and various NES games.

I'd give a it a 6 out of 10
The graphics are pretty good for an ageing console, along with ps2 assets. PD should update the game more, and maybe learn English too. If some more cars were added ie: Bricklin(made in Canada!) Rufs, scion Tc. Those are some I want.

I was going to simply edit out the more inflammatory and morally dubious parts of your post but given that its a wall of text with no proper grammatical construction, no paragraphs and seems to be, at best, a rant with a slightly racist slant, I've deleted it. If you have a an actual relevant point to make, please make it but bear in mind what I've just said before posting again.

I voted a 4-5 but, after doing some real thinking about it, I would up that slightly to a 6. Here is my reasoning, from good to bad:

Graphics: 10/10. This is where they have really excelled and have made a truly stunning and beautiful looking game. Sometimes you are just blown away by the look of something (the overhead "helicopter" view of the sweeping turn 2 at Willow on a replay is my most obvious example....I watched my Ford GT through there and was blown away by it);

Cars: 10/10. The sheer range of cars is staggering and, while some cars are pretty pointless (Kubelwagen and too many to count MX-5s to name a couple), to see some of the most iconic cars in history and drive them is immense. Yes, standards are disappointing, interior-wise, but I can accept that;

Tracks: 10/10. The number of tracks is impressive and, to be able to drive on some iconic tracks is great fun. They have chosen excellently when considering new tracks to bring: Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Batthurst, Willow Springs, Ascari....each has it's own charm and character and adds such a lot to the already good line-up;

Interface: 8/10. The UI is good and, while I prefer the GT5 interface (Sorry, but I just do.....I prefer GT4's over both though), I do like the cleanness of it. It is easy to find what you want;

Content: 4/10. While the game has excelled with the number of cars and tracks, it falls short in terms of the content. GT5 was rich with so much variety, be it enduros, B-Spec, all the Special Events, Seasonal races etc and GT6 is a distant second in this respect. However, I can only compare to GT5's finished product as I bought it late in the cycle. The game doesn't have enough offline content to keep someone engaged for long....After all the content in GT5 and even GT4, I expected so much more and, while they may well deliver it in future, the current content rates low...maybe in 2 years I will come back and give it a 10, who knows;

Ease: 2/10. The minute you start the game with a tutorial, being the first for a GT game that I am aware of, you realise that this a game aimed at the masses of casual fans rather than the GT fans. As you progress through the levels, bar the odd event or two, you feel that the game has really been made too easy....With GT5 I am unlikely to ever get 100% as some events are too difficult for me, whereas GT6 has been 100% complete for some time. The licences are a perfect example: Each test was completed after 3 or 4 attempts maximum, in GT5 some events took me an hour or more to do and there are still 2 that I can't manage after countless times trying. The game is crying out for a variable difficulty setting;

Sounds: 2/10. The issues here are well documented and historic. Sounds have pretty much stagnated from GT5....there was so much hope here which was not realised. Some cars sound fantastic but most, just, don't;

AD ("AI"): 2/10. Well, I don't think anyone can call them Intelligent so I prefer to call them "Artificial Drones" as they are pre-programmed drones. These are both disappointing yet expected but the hope was always that PD would come to their senses and give us racers to go with the races but it was not to be.

*I have not included online as I don't race online and have not tried.

Overall this is a solid game but, asides from a few things, not breathtaking. As a stand-alone game, I would probably give it an 8 or 9/10: It is longer than some games I have played (I remember one on the PS2 that took me 6 hours to complete it) and is an entertaining game. The problem with it is that it isn't a stand-alone game, it is the latest in a series and it falls considerably short there: I would compare it with the most recent Fast & Furious film.....a good film if viewed as a stand-alone film with plenty of action to keep you entertained but, when viewed as a part of the series, it just doesn't hold up as it has gone from the street racing concept that made the original famous. GT6 is a graphically beautiful game that doesn't do the series the justice it deserves.

In time it may become the game it cries out to be but, as it stands, it falls short.

Now this ís a review I can totally agree with...spot on! 👍

Ok, I'm mean and I know it. 2-3 is all it gets from me. :lol:
No need to go into specifics, everything and all the bugs/faults/missing content are discussed else where.
I just feel that, even with it's marginal improvements (to GT5) it lacks way too much. :(

8-9 for me. Physics,cars,traks and graphics are more than solid. I realy don't care much about other stuf. Sure it's not a perfect game, although I realy don't know how a perfect game look like. :p

I would give it a 10 for longevity. Just can't stop playing this game.

I'm not a diehard for the game = find it a failure for missing/absent promised content.

I gave it 8-9, based on the limits it pushes the aging system/content (Tracks/Cars)/Updates (though many will say not)

I don't play it regularly, but when I do, I actually find I bemoan my own ineptness at driving, rather than accusing the game of cheating (unlike FIFA 14), which is refreshingly enjoyable/masochistic :lol:

I would give it a solid 8.5. I think people are rating GT6 against their expectations, not realisticly. It is not the GT of my dreams, but it is pretty close to what i assume is achievable on PS3. One cant say its a bad game just based on the fact that one can THINK of a better game. If we go down that route, I find room for some HUGE improvements on some praised games like Uncharted or Skyrim. It is still a racing simulator - nothing big to invent there. A simulator is not a dramatic arcade game. They could expand the setup possibilities of the cars, but these are quite vast already. Its a great achievement making this game run on PS3. If they had the vast resourses of a PC one could expect more of the graphics and sound. Really the only thing im missing is the ever sought after livery editing, but im pretty sure that would have too big of an impact to the performance of the game.

Like they said in some review of the Uncharted 3 - Its not a perfect game, but i cant imagine how they could make it better. That is almost the case with GT6 as a driving simulator.

I deny every one of your accusations. I'm an English expert; the entire post was all about Gran Turismo 6 and how it has or has not performed within the expectations of someone who has played every title since and including GT2. I have controllers older than you, and before you call me anything near racist again you'd best know that's a legally actionable offense. You rather obviously have some infatuation with my posts and I'll leave the staff here at GTP to deal with you on that. But wave your wand carefully in my direction in the future, as I WILL be recording every too-big-for-their-britches interference in free discourse.

It's like you read my mind man! And articulated it better than I ever could. 👍

Really?
But wave your wand carefully in my direction in the future, as I WILL be recording every too-big-for-their-britches interference in free discourse.
An English expert who starts sentences with conjunctions and doesn't know how to phrase paragraphs... Interesting.
I have controllers older than you
Ridiculous assumptions about age on the internet are commonplace. Suffice to say you are only 5 years older than I am and they didn't make controllers back then.
you'd best know that's a legally actionable offense.
I am aware of what is libellous and what isn't. Are you?
You rather obviously have some infatuation with my posts and I'll leave the staff here at GTP to deal with you on that.
No more so than with anyone else's posts so don't get a big head. You always have the right to report anything you don't agree with and all deleted and edited posts are saved by the site and available for all staff to see. 👍

i didn't know there where features missing?.. No in all seriousness i am to busy driving to care about extra features, honestly. The way they have updated the physics you can actually 'feel' body roll and predict car behaviour alot better than gt5. This to me rates the simulator high- 8/10. Even if the track editor was there, and it would be cool, it would only be a meer distraction or "coffee break" (hehe) before getting back to the driving. As for the other features...meh. I like driving.

@liv4hardstyle, most of the complaints about "missing" features are related to features which are on the "future" list for GT6.

Those who think that GT6 has a very short life are disappointed.
