What do you use as a ring tone?

Sorry about the off topic post, i know i am in a small minority here.
I get your point about emergency use. But i have never had a situation where i thought to myself i wish i had a mobile phone with me.
How old are you? Do you drive a car?

This is the only reason I’ve ever really wanted a mobile phone – so I can contact someone when I’m in a car when I’m no where near anyone I know.

I am 35 and yes i drive a car.

On my Nokia 3230 I have a sound of a heavily tuned Toyota Supra. It is really loud, and whenever my phone rings,I freak out.Once someone called me at 2 a.m. and i forgot to turn off the phone.I freaked out, jumped out from my bed, fell on the floor, and on my way falling down,I hit my desk with my head.I answered the call, and started swearing vulgarly to the caller.30 seconds later,I realise MY MOM was calling....Whoops!
Everyone who knows me says that I should change that ringtone, but since everyone has a mobile phone,I really need a ringtone that is dinstinctive, cause although I have a car,I am more used to go somewhere by bus,and If any of you go to your school/work by bus,you surely know how sometimes you cant really know is that your phone ringing or someone else`s phone.
I also have some bosnian turbo-folk muslim-like song, that one I use when I am in a car or home.

Right now I've got Marilyn Manson - The Beautiful People.

It doesn't ring too often so I don't bother with getting many ringtones, I just infer red them off my friends.

I've got a Nextel Phone, and it uses the standard ring. Same with nearly everyone else on my construction site. One phone rings and 6 people stop to answer it.

My home cell phone (I don't have a land line) is just a standard beeping noise, so my wife and I can tell our phones apart.

My sister-in-law, on the other hand, has about 30 different ones. For her soon-to-be ex-husband, she has someone screaming. Rather funny.

And when a two way goes off everyone reaches for their phone. It's by far the funniest sight it a GM meeting. You hear a chrip and everyone reaches for their Nextel...and yes I'm gulity of it to.

And cell phones have a point, I do 90% of my business on my phone and the rest on my office phone. When you drive as much as me for a job you need to be able to attend teleconferences and what not. Plus at GM everyone uses Nextel so I mainly use the Walkie Talkie feature.

Rocky- Eye of teh tiger.

I usually answer before the loud bits.

How many of you actually use your cellphone because you need to, not just because you have one.
Um when we need a lift somewhere, or home.

I have been caiught out a few times by eiteher being late for a bus, or a bus not turning up.

That and bad arrangements to begin with.

I don't have a cellphone and don't intend having one. If you have a land line why on earth do you need a cellphone. In my opinion they have to be the biggest waste of money ever.

In my opinion land lines are the biggest waste of money ever. I haven't had one in 8 years.

Speaking of wasting money, do people download their ring tones? I am too cheap to do that, but too dumb to figure out how to make my own. Still using the factory presets. If you know a good way to make your own that doesn't involve any technical expertise, let me know...

I have a bunch of different ones but my main one is Gary Newman - Cars

I gotta look for that one. 👍

I have 2 music tones I use and those are Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone and Fall Out Boy - Sugar We're Goin' Down.

My phone is a Sony Ericsson Z500A

But even if you did have a mobile you couldnt use it driving anyway because your British.

Anyway, I have a Sony Ericsson P910i and my ringtone is Fix Up, Look Sharp by Dizzee Rascal. I use mp3 ringtones, one of the best inventions ever.

That’s not the point. What if his car broke down in the middle of nowhere? That’s the reason I like having a mobile, if something happens I can still contact people.

Mine's on silent mode most of the time, so vibrate. Set ringtone is some sort of futuristic whistle tone. I used to have a analog telephone ring, but it wasn't loud enough.

Ringtones are the worst invention ever.
I think you're right.

Famine
The sound of a phone ringing.
Mine's supposed to sound like an old-fashioned phone (Provincial), but it sounds more like a harpsicord. Loud enough to be heard at my work; a desk or cell phone rings about every 10 seconds. You've got to have something unique, or at least stands out from the rest.

I think anyone who pays for ringtones is silly. Besides, they generally sound nothing like the music they're trying to emulate.

I have Nessie the Dragon.

Jamster have been playing a blinder recentley.

I paid for a Gorillaz's tune once, just to see what it sounded like. It sounded similar to something a 7th grader came up with on a Casio keyboard.

I want my 99 cents back. :grumpy:

I don't ahve a cell phone myself, yay for that, my parents can't reach me when I'm out.

But my dad's cellphone ringtone is just the sound of a phone ringing. (I use that cellphone once in a while, it's rare though).

I mostly use Coldplay - Trouble on my SE K750i. A friend of mine has a ringtone of a an air raid alarm set for when his mother calls.

I got a razr, so i got a bunch of fav songs on it, or i should say clips of them that i made.
Unknown/General/Personal Calls: Kosmas Epsilon-Innocent thoughts(stel remix)
Business calls: Randy Katana-Fancy Fair 2004
Female friends-Whiteroom-Someday
Guy friends: 8 Wonders-The morning after(thrillseekers remix)

The Bravery - Unconditional ...........It sounds like a ringtone at the start and is a really great song

I use the Sanford and Son theme song. It always gets a laugh.

I have a cell phone but no landline. For the same price as a local phone service on a landline I get longdistance and a phone that is always with me. When I am out and don't want to be disturbed I just turn it on silent or vibrate and check my messages for emergencies every so often.

I decided my cell phone paid off the day my stick shift got stuck so it could only go up and down from first to second but couldn't move over sideways to the other gears. I was in the back parking lot of my apartment building so the tow truck couldn't just look for a car. The driver called me when he was in the area and I walked out front and waved him in so he could find me.

In case you were wondering, a squirrel stuck a chestnut in the way of my stick.

My current ringtone for most people is Young Jeezy - That's How Ya Feel. For the Main Street people (ala street racers) I've got Ludacris - Act A Fool. Some people even get their own ring tone if they're important enough.

When I had one, it had plain house phone ringtone. That phone cost me $50 a month. Since I got rid of it, that is $50 in my pocket. Right now, it is an unneccessary expense. Anybody that needs to reach me, call me at work or at home.
