In an ever-increasing line of awesome threads, I bring you the next best thing since the foundation of Tortuga...

What Does Your Neighborhood Look Like?

So yes, the rules are simple. Take some photos of the area in which you live. I could care less if it is just the block, your house, your neighbor's house (blank-out addresses?), your city's attractions, etc...

Its up to you!

...Now I would be producing photographs of my own for this thread, however we have been in a perpetual state of quasi-snow/ice for the past few days, and I've decided that these conditions aren't good for photographs. That, and it is 11:15 a night...

So a quick preview:

Near my home exists: Rite Aid, Walgreen's, Autozone, BP Gasoline, Little Caesar's, an awesome Chinese Buffet, Quiznos, McDonals, two Supermarkets, a Subway, Joey's Seafood Bar and Grille, a movie theater, and many, many more... All within a five-minute walk. Its awesome...

Pics of Walgreens 👍 I might get some of my house later this week seeing as how its always dark out when I get home.

Like a bunch of houses with paint and stuff. There is a street with a double yellow line, a middle school with quasi-inner-city youths, a convenience store, some other crap. And that's it.

I've lived here for about 14 years I don't know one of my neighbors' first name.

My attention to detail is unparalleled. I'm like Douglas Adams with the imagery. I don't even need picture; you feel like you're in my neighborhood.

Stalker thread.

Anyway, here are the only pics I have of around the neighborhood. They're of the "aftermath" of Hurricane Wilma, however.

Here is some pictures of what the neighborhood looks like:

I'm going to be living a few kilometers down the other side of this development in roughly a month...

That's the Pacific Ocean in the background, and the snow-capped mountains are Washington State. I'm on the bottom of Vancouver Island.

Hmm, this is a bit hard for me, since neither of my “homes” have neighborhoods.

At UCSD, I live in the dorms, so, uh, here’s a picture of the dorms:

And at my house there’s no neighborhood to speak of, so, uh, here’s our house:

So no pictures of a neighborhood in a thread about neighborhoods. Right.

Our house, view from the front door, view up the street, down the street from the top of the driveway.

The backyard, in poor light.

One day when it hailed.

Hallett Cove Beach and Conservation Park, which is basically in the direction of the water views in the above pics.

I took this photo 2 years ago; a nice sunset deserved a walk around the area with a camera.

I could have sworn you'd posted these pictures before in another thread.

I did. I just simply repost them since this thread is about what your neighborhood looks like. Is there anything wrong with that?

The last thread where I post these picture was a thread about "the size of your home".

Anyways thanks Sureshot. It gets old though - lol it was only fun for the first few months. However I still enjoy relaxing and just enjoying the view once in a while.

This was one day when we had a bad case of "calima" (floating sand, coming from the Sahara... sort of like a sand storm, but looks more like fog). Views are from my balcony.

EDIT: ImageShack is being stupid... I put the pics to be resized at 640x480 and I get these huge 1280x960

I dont exactly have a pic of my neighborhood at the moment and Im too lazy to go and take one :guilty: But you can sort of tell from this pic. Its on my driveway(but unfortunately not mine :indiff: )

Right now my hometown would look more like UnoMOTO's photos.

Here's some I googled. Fairly typical of a small farmtown on the prairies.

My current community (university dorm)

(second one is my friend's reaction to us sticky-ing his room some time after he passed out from the activities shown in the previous photo)

I promise to take pictures tomorrow. The weather has sucked here the past few days, and I should be active enough to get things done. Hopefully it won't rain too much, but we'll see what happens...

Losts of snow here at the moment, should be an excellent moment today to take some pictures of my neighbourhood 👍

Damn, you guys in America seem to have a lot of space and greenery. Thats what I want, all I see is grey in my area and its all cramped:(

Yeah...

I live in central london now. On the south bank near waterloo station and london eye.

Rooms and flats are small here.
