I played the demo on the PS3 (guess the game is better on PC) and I didn't really like the controls. Aiming felt quite indirect.I'm enjoying Payday so much that I'm strongly considering a PC pre-order of Payday 2. It's £30, so it would be the fifth or sixth expensive Steam game I've ever bought at full price, but it's either that or the MGS Legacy Collection which is about £40 plus any shipping fees Play Asia want to charge. Alternatively I could wait until my brother or sister go back to America (they both now have relationships across the Atlantic for some reason), that would be cheaper.
Alone it was hardly fun, but when I played it with a mate it was really good. I was just missing something. Planning of the heist, preparing the place in expectation of coming cops, different character type/classes, etc. Also it wouldn't have worked without headset and sadly quite many don't have one (why?!?).
The game was relatively expensive and eventually I didn't buy it. I'll definitely have an eye on the second part though.
From what I've heard Payday 2 is going to improve a lot in those aspects, sounds promising.
