Since getting back to gaming a little I've played a bit of the new Borderlands - it's ok but I miss being at a super high level with awesome gear like I was in Borderlands 2 - and a bit of Payday 2.
Payday 2. It's one of my favourite co-op games and also one of my least favourite, the quality swings so enormously depending on who you're playing with. Destiny (excluding the raid, nightfall and sometimes weekly strikes (unless cheesing)), Killing Floor, Borderlands 2 - they're all doable with idiots in my experience because there's generally only one way to do things and you're going to be fighting enemies no matter what. Payday 2... Well, long story short, it's not like that and it's not doable with idiots unless it's one of the heists where you just shoot everything (thankfully the new one is one of those and it's actually pretty decent fun with a good payout which I expect will be nerfed). With friends, though, it's
a lot of fun. Tonight I ran through a few heists with some guys from RPS, we made something like $3.5 million in, what, three jobs (which is why I didn't respond to your invite,
@Jawehawk, sorry!) so I was able to buy some new guns that weren't shotguns or super weak but practically invisible stealth weapons. I haven't tried them out yet though. Next time I can afford to I think I'll buy some SMGs, pistols and some guns I used to have but sold to make inventory space before they added purchasable weapon slots.
