Got a few hours in Palia so far, and I am enjoying it quite a bit. Still in the early quest stuff, and it will probably be a while before I start building relationships with the villagers.

I continue to play New World. It's a different and detailed game. New things are constantly being released.

More Nuclear Throne for me, I've reached the throne twice now, something I had never done until this week. I even killed it today, only it killed me in the process - I was playing, of course, as Chicken and it took my head off right before I nuked it (nuclear throne, get it?)

I think I'm going to play The Invincible next, seems like my kind of thing.

Edit: not worth a new post, I thought Burnout Paradise (Remastered) was completely dead but I've been persisting with it and it you're patient you can actually find players, but finding players and completing challenges with them are radically different things. I smashed almost 50 challenges with a couple of players tonight but I've still done fewer than 200 out of the 500 needed to be truly done with the game.

Thought I’d purchase PC3 as it’s being vaporised pretty soon and god dang, it’s actually bloody good fun on my Fanatec CSL DD.
Was thinking it’d be strictly pad leaning given the reaction upon release but it’s an absolute blast in my sim rig 😀 oh, and Bannochbrae is one of the greatest fictional tracks in all of video gaming, I get Driveclub vibes and fond memories of the greatest racer ever in my eyes whenever I’m blasting along this fantastic layout

I recently went back to PC3 as well, and it was a time trial at Bannochbrae that reminded me of its qualities - I can’t think of many other racers that feel so damn good on a pad. You can almost feel the car moving around underneath you and can control all the little slides and feel under pinpoint control of the car. It’s a revelation, really. Compared to PC2 which is in so many ways a much better game, but playing it with a pad, even though you can get used to it and make it playable, always feels like a compromise. They did something magic with PC3, to make the controls and handling feel so organic.

It makes me mourn that they didn’t achieve the same thing with PC2, though.

Metal gear solid delta: snake eater.
First impressions: Really liking the updated gameplay. Mgs3 was great for its time but for nowadays its feels kinda clunky. Delta gameplay feels like a fusion of mgs3 and mgs5.
The reports of performance issues the game has been having, i seen some fps drops but nothing that disturbs my experience.
Now did we acuallly needed a remake to mgs3? Maybe not.
Mgs3 still looks good and, even though the gameplay is a bit clunky for 2025, its still an amazing game.
In my opinion metal gear, metal gear 2: solid snake (the 2 msx games), mgs1 and peace walker are much more in need of a remake than mgs3

Ive held out on buying Transport Fever as i only have a Steam Deck and no PC and didnt think that it would very good on it but I have to say the controls are great and im enjoying the early stages getting to know the game.

How it will perform once it gets to bigger cities I will find out soon enough but so far its good.

Welp, I had been on a NASCAR kick since early July, which saw my first major playthrough of NASCAR Rumble in 20 years, and even some time on some NASCAR PC games, but as of today, I am pretty burnt out from it. That said, I am moving on to the Star Wars Battlefront series, and I am playing through it right now. Starting with the first game on both PS2 and Xbox, and then eventually I am going to go to Battlefront II on both systems again and do the same. I am basically doing this as prep because I intend to give the PC version a proper go soon and eventually play with a bunch of mods for it, something I've been meaning to do for longer than I care to admit. I guess now is finally the time I do this, since it's been on my mind lately, and I've considered it for a long time now. 😎
So I said this, and I really was intent on doing it, but things have taken an unexpected turn. Upon replaying Battlefront 1 on Xbox, I ended up having WAY more fun with it than I thought, with every session feeling just as good as the last, and it was perhaps the most fun I've had with the game yet. So much so, it has ruined Battlefront 2 for me, to the point that I kept finding myself wanting to go back to the first since I was having a better time with it. Which is very odd because for many years, I have always preferred the 2nd game over it and only occasionally felt otherwise, but this time is different. :odd: While it has a few things I like better than the 2nd, I've narrowed it down some and I think it's simply because the game goes at a much slower, much more relaxing pace than its sequel, and is easier to get headshots on.

I tried staying away from both for a bit in hopes that the kick would wear off and I could properly enjoy Battlefront 2, but it just wasn't doing it for me, and I still found myself wanting to go back to the first again. So I am back to that game again, and while this might not have been what I had in mind, it's working wonders for my mental state, and I am having the most fun I've ever had with the game in the past 19 years I've had it, so why stop? 😎 I guess I'll just keep playing this game until I get tired of it because I don't know what else to do. 🤷

Playing some real old classics, Syndicate plus via dosbox & Syndicate Wars running the hd port mod for SWars so full 1080 widescreen support & zoom in/out mod so it isn't so close & extra stuff enabled that was apparently cut from the original + custom content.

This is it now.

How it used to be

There's a "Hell is Us" demo on PSN that has me fully convinced.

Go check it out - it's really cool.
