It is a brutal game, both of them are absolute classics along with the Amiga version of Cannon Fodder (with the original soundtrack). The mod is the icing on the cake & they're still working on it apparently. One of my absolute favourite gaming franchises. The original Syndicate is probably my favourite game on the Amiga and I played Syndicate Wars to death on PlayStation and PC.
I didn't know about the existence of this mod and now I need it in my life!
Chefs kiss to you Mr Grumpy for the mention of Cannon Fodder! It is a brutal game, both of them are absolute classics along with the Amiga version of Cannon Fodder (with the original soundtrack). The mod is the icing on the cake & they're still working on it apparently.
Bought it (I had to, because it has "Metal Gear Solid" in the title), will probably get stuck in at the weekend.Finished mgs3 delta.
A bit disappointed in the end. Was expecting more.
It was very very close to the original. Closer than any remake ever. The cutscenes are the same as the original but with top graphics. There was no redesigning.Bought it (I had to, because it has "Metal Gear Solid" in the title), will probably get stuck in at the weekend.
I am hoping for the original MGS3 experience just with a bit more polish, so hopefully I won't be disappointed.
I can relateReinstalled MW2 after not having played it in a long time, played two online matches and remembered why I unstalled it in the first place.
The vibe in the career mode is still great thoughNeed for Speed: Porsche Unleashed (PS1) - After nearly 25 years I am playing the PlayStation version of this game (tried the PC one and it's not the same, of course) for the first time since my brother destroyed my disc in a fit of anger. I never got to finish it back then so it's pretty wild to be playing again after all this time.
Is it as good as I remember? Oh, absolutely not.![]()
I am looking forward to playing it through (again). Wonder how many of the Kerotan locations I remember! It was very very close to the original. Closer than any remake ever. The cutscenes are the same as the original but with top graphics. There was no redesigning.
The areas are the exact same (but with top graphics), there are loading screens everywhere. So if you still remember grozy grad from mgs3, you wont get lost there in delta.
The gameplay is trying to recreate mgs5 inside mgs3, but never fully reaches the freedom of mgs5.
The gameplay is more polished than original, yes. But is nothing new. The guards behave the same. (oh and The End...feels like he was toned down/nerfed).
I replayed mgs3 right before delta released and probably I shouldn't have done it because they are so close.
Had an unexpectedly quiet weekend so put some hours into RoboCop. Turns out that 20 hours is plenty to extract everything you can from the experience (played it on 'normal' level). So slightly disapointingly short, but there is some DLC available to extend that if you so wish.Downloaded RoboCop: Rogue City a few months back but hadn't got around to playing it until this weekend. I wasn't expecting much from it, although i know it was well received when it came out, but it absolutely nailed that future-in-the-80's asthetic. The enviroment graphics are spot on and really well detailed but its perhaps let down by some of the characters faces in the cut scenes. They have very detailed textures, but their facial movements and the lighting on them feels a couple of generations old, which really sticks out compared to the level of detail in the background. I've also found it to be a bit glitchy, even in the the short time i've played it, but nothing so far that spoils it.
In a way it remins me a lot of Star Wars: Outlaws, which i played through recently. They both got their respective film enviroments absolutely spot on - i totally felt like i was in the Star Wars or RoboCop 'worlds' whilst playing them, everything about them was completely authentic in feeling. But as with Outlaws i feel the gameplay may quickly get repetitive and the maps restrictive once the novelty wow of the visuals wears off. Still, i imagine it will be a fun if single play-through sort of game.
Definitely on my radar, just happened to launch around the same time as many other good games so it may be a few weeks/maybe months before I get to this. Glad to hear it is good, though!Listen. You guys are most likely sleeping on HELL IS US.
Not for everyone, but if you are into mystery / puzzle / exploration games CHECK THIS ONE OUT!
It's only $50 and it's fantastic.
