Currently playing: Star Wars Battlefront 2 - GT7 - Forza 5 (I feel like the cars are slipping a lot after GT7).

The pending GT7 Update.

I'll continue with these until the ETS2 PS5 version is released. After ETS2, I'll take a long road trip.
 
I know Uncharted 2 has GOAT status among many players, but I'm just to a point (the train wreck) where the combat is becoming rage- inducing. And why do I have to repeat the climbing sequence I just did at the start of the game?

On the other hand, as a lapsed Final Fantasy gamer (I have not played a game since X), XVI (Xbox-PC) has been a great discovery so far: graphics, music, characters, and an intriguing quasi-Game of Thrones narrative with the usual FF elements of crystals, summoning, moogles, chocobos, etc. Oh, and I play it with the French dubbing because it fits the aesthetics so well.

Also any starfield fans in GT planet? Played waaaaaay to much of it 🤣 burnt out at the moment.
 
Still on The Outer Worlds, playing the DLC now, I forget what it's called but it's the murder mystery one. It's good, not amazing, and I think I'm going to be disappointed by the choice I'm going to make when it comes to my verdict on the killer but that's not exactly the game's fault I guess.

Not sure what I want to play next, I just got Pacific Drive and Mafia Remastered (dunno why but I had Mafia 2 and 3 Remastered and not the first game) in the Steam sale and I'm thinking of getting Cleared Hot, but it's an early access game and I'm normally allergic. I do really want to pick it up, though. And that Timesplitters thing... But I have loads to play already.
 
Just got the first expansion of Dreamlight Valley: Rift in Time

So far, love the story and characters. So much stuff to collect now, got to think about a better storage system.

It'll be a while until I get the other expansions.

I abused it while had GP & was taking a break from Sim racing, effectively I was an unkillable jedi/sith god.

Over 600hrs, ng+12, all special powers maxed out + some modded extras, custom modded ship that could destroy everything, even on very hard I set my weapon damage to minimal & the enemy's to maximum. In the end it got boring so I only played it to launch enemy's in the air on low gravity moons & sniper them, also had a mod which enabled you to kill everyone including important npc which eventually broke my game just before my GP run out.

But I had fun with it.
 
Still in the early bits of the Rift in Time expansion, but I'm already planning out crop farms for the new biomes. Also have roles planned for the new characters once I have them leveled up more:

  • Rapunzel - Gardening
  • Gaston - Fishing
  • EVE - Mining
  • Jafar - Digging
 
I finished off The Outer Worlds' Eridanos DLC in fine style, maybe a little anticlimactic but absolutely hilarious in its irony.

It's not a spoiler to say the premise of the DLC is to investigate the murder of a movie star, but it is a spoiler to say
that after getting into a single fight with some SLUG goons after sneaking into an area that I should've tried a bit harder to sneak into, I managed to upset that faction just enough that after I'd chosen to side with Halcyon Helen, whose identical twin sister's death I was investigating, she became aggro'd against me after she copped a stray during a fight with more SLUG goons immediately before I was going to wrap the plot up with her. So in the end, after about 8 hours of investigation, I was her murderer.
Which did make me cackle.

So I started the other DLC by getting the murder of the main quest giver out of the way first, before even engaging in conversation, and the game absolutely didn't care.

The second game may be the most difficult of the original 3 games, since it's probably the most "action movie-like" with many set pieces and tough combat scenes. I hate to say but there are definitely more difficult sections after the train wreck... including the very end of the game. :eek:

Once upon a time I beat Uncharted 2 on the highest difficulty setting. I think I heard the song that plays when you die about 1,000 times. :lol:
 
Now in the grinding part of Rift in Time, so I've been going back and forth with the main game stuff and the DLC. On the bright side, I did unlock Sally and Peter Pan.
 
Picked up Cleared Hot, got through most of it in an afternoon but mission 10 runs really, really badly on Deck (down to 4fps and it got so low the graphics started to bug out) so I had to stop. Shame, it's a great game, but I expect they'll be able to improve the optimisation as they go. At least I hope so because I'm outside of Steam's refund window now!

I'll probably try Pacific Drive next. I realised yesterday that there are maybe only one or two games I bought on Steam this year that I haven't played yet (not excluding the four I bought in the sale, although I have now played one of those) which is pretty good going as far as my backlog is concerned.

Still haven't played the DLC for the first Rage, though. How is that still on my mind all these years later?

TES IV: Oblivion Remastered - first hour under palace, still didn't reached fresh air, bcs I went into bed :) UPDATE: got it with Portal

It Takes Two - masterpiece, on 71%

FC26 - playing regularly

GT7 - same


And giving some time to Rennsport and PMR.
Waiting to be fixed.

Today I finished Robocop Rogue City: Unfinished Business after some 13.5 hours. It is a side story to Rogue City, but unlike it, it has little to no references to the main films of the series and is far less interesting plot-wise. On the technical side it has some stuttering here and there but remains very playable and if you enjoy your brutalist architecture the building itself becomes a character of sorts.

Robocop Rogue City was a 9/10 game for me for everything in it and is as good as a Robocop 2.5 movie, but this one is about a 7.

Both are in my backlog. Thanks for this review. More incentive for me to actually start them.
 
Red Dead Redemption (current gen update, basically the same as the last PC version) on PS Plus.

It now looks how I remember it looking 15 years ago vs how it really looked, if that makes sense. The boosted frame rate is also a major improvement.

My favourite Rockstar game.
 
A PSN ban (for me this basically means GT7) has left me with some free time to try out some other titles. Although, the tasty Daily Race C this week has had me logging in using my alt account a little bit :D

This evening, I finished the final chapter of the Dead Space Remake. Immediately I began a NG+ which I may dive into occasionally now that I've seen the whole story.

My ''other games'' for the foreseeable are going to be;

● The Last of Us Remastered marathon, Parts 1 & 2. Haven't played the first game for many years, and with Christmas creeping more and more into Halloween's territory, who says I can't do the opposite and enjoy a horror game triple-header during the festive season? Black Friday discount on the Part 1 Remaster.

● Baby Steps. I love Devolver Games so this caught my eye. Also the way they leant into the Silksong-induced release delay made me chuckle a ton. Also picked up on a Black Friday discount.

Same. Ended up purchasing RDR1 during the Black Friday sale (knowing about the coming update) for old time's sake and something to play during the holidays.
The upgrade in frame rate, LoD and image quality is a massive welcome. The boost in frame rate alone transformed this game for me completely even when playing in BC mode before the update.

While I still have it for the PS3 and loved the game, I never reached 100% in-game completion which I aim to do now.
 
I've been playing many hours of Far Cry 3 on ye olde 360. I guess I just love exploring the islands and its a beautiful place to bumble around in- well except where there are Komodo dragons they tend to give me the creeps. Plus listening to the pirates whinge and moan about being stuck on this godforsaken island is pretty entertaining.
