The mercury cougar dark green is the same colour but you have to fluke it on a gift ticket,if you already own that car try a single make race with it to see the colour

Go to the Daihatsu dealer and go to the first car. It has a dark green that I used on my '07 Mustang that seems to be fairly close.

Funny, I just did the same thing with my Mustang. I found the dark olive green to be the closest. Its somewhere between a forest green and an olive green.
It is not British Racing Green. I just did mine and it looks really close.

I was going to paint my trans-cammer in that colour, but did it to a GT350R instead. Might do an '05 Mustang GT in that green though, with some black American-Racing Torq-Thrusts...

If you know the color code for the paint, such as the six digit code for color (Red = #FF0000, Green = #00FF00, Blue = #0000FF), you should be able to easily find a match (Or very close) in game. Granted you want it in Solid, Metallic or Pearl.

I want to paint my GT350 closest to that color

I like your thinking. Too bad we cant make the a course similar to that chase scene in SF. I just went over it with a rental when I visited there at Christmas time. It was a deep metallic green, like a greenish-black.

Anyone fancy recreating some automotive/film history & taking some cool pics of the replay :)

I'd not thought of this. It sure is a purty shade of green :)

Eh, how does this help? Am I missing something with the way paints are displayed in the items list? Surely there's no one single colour that can describe the paint in the above picture... it looks pearl-esque. (EDIT: Metallic...?)
On top of that, the "swatches" are often different colours to the actual paints! The sort by hue option goes by swatch colour, hence why the maple colour for the Triumph Spitfire is listed with the purples... :ouch:

EDIT: The '08 Bullitt Mustang had "Dark Highland Green" paint. It looks pretty similar.

If you are looking for the colour code for BRG it is
(Hex #004225) (RGB: 0, 66, 37)

There is, and never was, a single shade of British Racing Green ;)
That particular shade looks like this ████ which is a nice compromise, though.

Anyway, I don't have the exact colour of the Bullitt car. I've found two that are close: "Cactus Green" (Audi) and "Combination B Excellent Green Mica" (Mazda) - there are likely others that I don't have.

Mazda's "Highland Green" seems to lack sufficient "Pearl"-ness, and is also the wrong colour despite the base colour being almost perfect.

Somebody explain to me what these hex codes are?

They are a way of representing a constrained colour space ([wikipedia]RGB[/wikipedia]), as produced by electronic displays. In [wikipedia]Hexadecimal[/wikipedia], FF means 256 which is the highest "level" a particular colour channel can have - each channel gets two digits in Hex (as opposed to three in Decimal).

Dark Green mica is the closest i can find to it in game. It looks just about right. Shame the car is a std car though. It looks poop in pictures :(

Ive found a color that is very close it's called "Alpine Metallic" it would be perfect if the standard cars weren't so glossy, thus I need to find a slightly darker color I will post a pic or two soon

Cool, I went with "Combination B Excellent Green" I got from an MX-5 in the UCD. It's a bit darker on the car than the "preview", and the pearl only shows up in direct reflections of the (sun) light, where the gloss can be an issue until dusk / dawn. It's so very close, though.

These two colours are very similar, and much lighter than the ones I chose :ouch: I need to see the pics  :P

I think there to dark but the bottom one if it was lighter would be perfect, anyways I think I have seen the closest I've seen yet it's the dark green metallic on the toyota ft86, so I buy the car and guess what....IT DOESN'T GIVE YOU THE PAINT when you buy it....300,000 down the tubes

One thing you guys are gonna have to decide is if you want to paint it what it looks like in the movie or what it looks like in real life. In real life the paint is darker than what's in the movie. Gotta remember film back in the day was not the greatest stuff on earth. Well some was good and others ugh.

Well, I took mine out on Toscana, and it catches the light pretty well (excuse the "excursion", although I feel it adds authenticity... :P)
Again, this is "Combination B Excellent Green Mica" from Mazda.
