My post earlier in the day hasn't worked. My PPD has gone above 10. *sigh* I guess I'll stop fighting the addiction and settle with the fact I am actually quite sad.

Mine's like 6.75. It was under 5 before Grade 11 started.

My addiction to this site grinds my gears sometimes.

Exactly what I posted this morning. (my morning, not yours)

I could be doing work and have it 75% done, then I suddenly have to quit working and go on GTP, and I can't fight it!

Yeah. When I have exams in the summer I might ask one of the mods to ban me for a couple of weeks to stop me posting. Just thinking out load. I probably won't though, I think I'd die without GTP.

My teacher grinds my gears. The class average on the last exam was about 70% (100+ students), yet he totally denied any responsibility, despite the fact that he didn't teach us all of the material, and the stuff he did teach he did a bad job. He lectured us for 47 minutes on how bad our study habits were.

That's a fairly good average, isn't it? Presumably it means that a fair amount of students got the 90's range, and a fair amount got the 40's range. So pretty much everyone passed the exam then?

You can't pass with anything under a 64 in my school, but when you're in high school, competition is high and anything under a high B is about an average or below-average grade.

All throughout my schooling so far we just need 50 to pass. And around a 70 average for college. I have an 86 average. So after next year I'll be going to the local community college. So, what grinds my gears? Everyone says I should go out of the area for college, but I don't want to and I'm sick of them telling me what I should do, instead of letting me go where I want. I'll leave this place after I get my education.

I have a similar gear grinder to you VADENAL. Some kid in the year above me keeps trying to tell me what I should take. He also had a billion stories of how his dad rammed some guys head through a wall in the nearby pub, and the dent is still there. Surprisingly, the police haven't arrested him...

Lucky. We need a 70 to pass in high school and I believe we need an 80 in college.

That guy is bull:censored:ing you.

WOW! What the hell is with the high numbers! Here in each test you just have to get 60 or over to pass. 75 Merit and 85 or 90 to get excellence. And you need 80 credits at the end of the year. 60 in year 12 and 13.

What grinds my gears, when you have to walk just a five minute walk to a bus stop to get home. The weather has been threatening to piss down all day. I decide, I'll go at 3:30... As soon as the time changes to 3:30. It starts blowing a gale, and pissing down, I was drenched by the time I got to the bus. Since it was the school's bus (No other buses go to my area) there was no shelter and the bus driver was late, I had no jersey because I had to use it to cover someone else's books. Just because they were too lazy to get it back themselves. Don't forget that where I was beforehand I hardly got any food, and was dehydrated even after two glasses of water at once. At least I could play GT5 when I got home, but no! I can't use it due to someone taking the ONE only controller, and my wheel is too dead (giant deadzone in the middle) to have fun with.

We get one credit per class (if you pass it in the semester). So you get 8 credits a year (4 75 minute classes a semester), and you need 30 credits to graduate. So if you get all 24 possible credits in Grades 9, 10, and 11, you only need to take 6 classes in Grade 12 (instead of 8). I like the system here as much as it is nonsense.

Agreed. I'll be doubling up on some of my classes so that for senior year I can take a bunch of studyhalls, and with senior privilege, I don't need to come in until I have a class and I can leave as soon as classes are over.
Edit:Skython, I know how you feel, I had to walk to school and home today in the rain, about 15-20 minutes, it sucked really bad, especially with the temperatures being around the 45 degree mark.

WHAT!!! 8 CLASSES, I had six this year, same next year and 5 in year 13. With one study spell/free spell.

*points and laughs*
Really though, that doesn't sound all too bad, how old are you when you graduate?

Living in the great nation of Canada, I'll finish Grade 12 and graduate in June 2013 when I'm age 17.

How is this a bad thing? I mean, sure, your first semester of university/college will be as a minor, but nothing big to worry about. You should celebrate having the jump - that means you'll be out that much sooner! :)

Trust me - I was in the same situation as you last year. You'll adjust no issue.

Unless I misinterpreted your post...

The camera in GT5. The way the picture turns out is WAY different from what I'm looking at in the camera. Right now I'm trying to get a good side shot of a Viper and I had to make the camera pointing at the headlights cutting the back off to get the shot. I also tried with a 787B and I was looking a little over the spoiler yet it was showing the entire car.

I just took a picture of the back and it's pointing directly at the back fender when it turned up, WHAT THE F.

I had the same situation a couple of days back. But it was removed when I reloaded the location, so it's probably a glitch.

I had it once before to but I first tried on Laguna Sea with the 787B so I went to Kyoto and dame thing. Now on Nurburgring with a Viper it's completely off.

I hate when I get infractions on dumb things.

Also is there a thread the exact opposite of this for only good things. It should be called the oil my gears thread. Dedicated to stuff you like that happens in life.

Mini modders grind my gears. I took the time to type up a whole carefully worded essay and post it and literaly a couple minutes later a guy posts a link to here because our threads had similarities. see for your self...

Yes, I do see the irony in this, but this really does grind my gears.
