I was talking about how I never get to spend time with one of my sets of grandparents because they don't feel like coming from Florida to Texas. The others are a lot older, and have to come from Greece, so it's not easy for them to get here.

I have a similar problem. The only time I get to see my maternal grandfather and his second wife is either at thanksgiving or Christmas, for two half days. The 'normal' routine is that they visit her family in the DC area for two days, then drive here and spend one night here. She's so tired from the trip that she'll fall asleep in any chair she sits in, and they won't stay longer that one night to allow us to spend quality time or to allow them the rest,, which they need, being near 80. Then, last year, she had the gall to tell my mum that we need to visit them more often. They live in Massachusetts, a day and a half drive away. We can't make the trip if we want to see some other part of the country/world, because my father has a job and me and my little brother have to go to school. They are retired and have quite a lot of free time. I like seeing my grandfather (I'm not very close to my stepgrandmother), but I want to see him more. i just wish he made the effort to be a part of my life.
 
I don't have any gear grinding to let out. I do feel bad for not having any though.

EDIT: All the rubbish left over from Kweznuz is eveyrwhere. I can barely move, big box for the DFGT, and stereo, and Nerf Gun (Two boxes) and it's just everywhere!!!!

Um, I think I speak for most, if not all of the people here when I say, what the ****?!?!? Haha.
 
Here's one:

Today I got Battlefield 3 for the Xbox - 250GB slim, got it new just three weeks ago - and it's magically stopped working after just an hour of play time.

When I popped the game in the first time I downloaded everything it told me to and I started with the campaign. About an hour or so later it freezes. I'm like "WTF!" and reboot the 360. Then I see a prompt to download the latest update, which happens to be just over 2 gigabytes(!!!!!!!). 4 hours later, update is dl'd and installed. I also install the game onto the hard drive, which is supposed to improve performance.

After all that I'm at the point where I can't even get back into any real gameplay. The bloody thing freezes at the main menus!!! Is it too much to expect a brand new 🤬 game to work on a brand new console in 2011?!?!?

Keep in mind: even with all the updates and necessary software according to the console it won't work at all. Unwrapped the 🤬 thing today and it's already broken.

I don't mind breaks from school every few months, esp. a break after a semester of hard work. But really after a while I get really bored. That's how most of my laziness came to be :p

I don't mind breaks from school every few months, esp. a break after a semester of hard work. But really after a while I get really bored. That's how most of my laziness came to be :p

At the rate the crap's hitting the fan with this thing, I might as well just get rid of it and get more storage space for the PS3. I don't think it's the Xbox's fault though... I'm about to raise hell at EA for selling me a broken game / breaking my game with that update!

EA sucks. I don't think I'll buy another game from them for a while. There only hope for getting my money anymore is Battlefield or the Sims, because the stuff they make isn't innovative anyway, and they don't care about the fans from what I've seen. Plus everything is way overpriced, at least from a DLC standpoint. Or iPhone, I mean $7 for a game? No thanks. I can get 7 games for that, and it will go to a company more worthy of my money.

It's safe to say EA grinds my gears.

But BF3 is AMAZING despite the problems I (and thousands of other players judging by what I'm seeing in other forums) am having. This is the first EA game I've bought since NFS Most Wanted... see if I ever give them my money again!
 
Did anyone ever played NFS: World? I have been playing that game for some months last year. And believe me, it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. It was particularly fun, but also I had "faith" in EA to improving the game. Unsure how the status is currently over my absence.

Yesterday I got BF3 for my 80gb fatty, despite having a 1 month old 250gb Xbox right next to the PS3. :lol: I heard that it's meant to be better on PS3, so I got it on that.

The older I get the worse my hangovers are, to the point where I feel like death would be a better option.

I had quite a fair amount of vodka last night and my head is throbbing a bit now.
 
I have noticed that the older one gets, the hangovers seem to get even worse.

Don't you notice that in Chongqing, the hangovers are worse than in London?

That is what I found when I went to Shanghai, but no idea if I actually physically drank more or whether it was just the same..... hm.
 
Considering the beer here (CQ) contains formaldehyde they leave pretty brutal hangovers!
 
A top tip. Never try and browse the internet ona Kindle, like I am now. Its a nightmare!
 
No, the touch screen e-reader one. It just has a web browser on it.
