Add me to the lurker list. I've joined March last year and don't have an extreme amount of posts either. Bought premium to see if I could get more posts. Nope. Oh well. Gear grinder for me: the price of lightroom. 300!!! I'm using the trial, and I think they could bump that down to 250, at most.

Update: added my gear grinder.

Be like me, for free! :D

@mattythedog and Elitedreamer: When referring to transfer rates, mbps and mb/s are the same. mbps is megabits per second, mb/s is megabits per second. 1 bit is 8 bytes, 1 mbps is 1 million bits moved per 1 second. Just to clarify.

The fact that I haven't been on here all weekend, I'm not sure why but this is so addicting. As of right now, I feel like absolute crap from all the food I've been eating (nothing healthy) and the arguments with my parents and my girlfriend's arguments with her parents. It makes me want to just cut myself off from everyone, but that will only make my parents more angry at me and my girlfriend takes that as I don't care about her at all. I just can't win.

*Goes to look up Spanish-English definitions for homework, ends up reading looooong post in Battlefield 3 thread and also posting here*

I gave up on my pre-calc, a friend of mine just picked up GT5 and I'm helping him out, playing online, talking to the girlfriend, listening to music, posting here. It will never happen.

It took me from about a half hour after getting home from school (about 4 hours ago) until now to install Homefront and I really wanted to use my wheel. :grumpy:

I have a similar problem. I try and click on google translate, but it brings me to the google homepage, and when I try and type 'google translate' to see if that works, it then searches gtplanet, and I'm unable to navigate away from it.

Calculus? Yikes. I rarely have homework this semester, as I took business studies courses. I use my flip phone at home, so on the mobile browser I flip back and forth between gtplanet and facebook. I use to do it last year in science class .

How so many people on this forum assume Forza has the same physics engine as Need For Speed. It's just as good as GT5's if not better.

People on Facebook who say completely obvious things. One friend just posted, "School tomorrow". Duh. We all know. Were you reminding us or something?

Yes. And Christmas and New Year's are horrible too.

"Christmas tomorrow!" No 🤬 Dick Tracy!

School. My grades have all gone from 90s to low 80s, pre-calc going from 93 to 80 in a couple weeks. I started to do an extra credit project for Chem tonight, creating a powerpoint on ionic compounds containing transition metal ions, and the ions themselves. I just gave up. I will get a small portion of extra credit, maybe, but the information she is looking for is nowhere to be found. I've tried different search engines trying tons of phrases for over 20 minutes, trying to find what I need for the first couple slides, and even with those being the general information, easy-to-come-by slides, it took that long. For the other information such as which are more common, which are naturally common and which are easy to manufacture, forget it. I can barely get up at 6:00 when I go to bed at 10:00, and there is no way I'm falling asleep by then now. Things have been stressing me out way too easily.

For a second I thought I was in the Gear Grinding thread. Then I realized this is the Slow chat thread with mattythedog and friends.

Hence my avoidance of posting in this thread any more. I still read it but my whining is just drowned out by mindless chatter. :(

I'm still Shem. I just thought it'd be fair to all those people in the southern hemisphere. Mainly Ozzies and Kiwis :sly:

Now I get your username Shem mate

And yeah.. Right. This, sort of grinds my gears, for being too rich!

Indeed, if I was rich I certainly wouldn't be eating at McDonalds. :sly:

There's a girl I know who has to practically throw her month old Blackberry at walls to make it come on. What would she do to an iPhone? :scared:

Or my friend who didn't like his 2 week old ~£100 Samsung do he put it under his chair leg and smashed the chair down for about 20 minutes. The phone was ruined. And 3 weeks later he had the latest Blackberry. He's gone through 9 phones in 3 years, I've had 2.

A kid I know got 'fed up with his phone' so decided to throw it as hard as he could at a wall, and is now hoping to get a shiny new HTC...

Some people are far too spoilt...:grumpy:

It does seem to be ridiculous behavior, but all things are relative I suppose. If £500 isn't a lot of money to some people then this is what happens.

It was an HTC as well... :sly:

I had a Nokia 60 something a few years back when they were popular. I got into a rage on night after finding out I was getting evicted and, drunk, I threw it across the pub garden into the wall. The result? 14 pieces of Nokia. Speaker, chips, electronics, keyboard and a whole host of other parts.

After calming down and being given my departed Nokia back I sat down at the bar with a pint and some super glue and a bit of enthusiasm. After 30 minutes of fiddling and gluing stuff back together the only thing that didn't work was the ringer. I even made a call and the reception was perfect. From scrap to phone. I've never been so proud of myself.

Nokia. Accept no substitutes.
