I'll swap with him anytime he wants; I'd love to live in England. Imagine: Top Gear on the tele! Old Harry's Game, Cabin Pressure, and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue on the radio!

:odd: I haven't heard of anything after Top Gear. And also, think of the weather, the complaining, Nick Clegg, Jeremy Kyle, Jedward, Nick Clegg. All downsides... (tell me if I've missed any...)

You said Nick Clegg twice. Is he really that bad?

The cold grinds my gears. Whatever I do I just can't keep warm. And my school have decided to replace the windows in the Canteen. IN WINTER! Which means it's freezing in there... :grumpy:

As opposed to Rick perry and George W. Bush...
And if you haven't heard of those radio shows then you're missing out. They're all BBC Radio 4 comedies, and I love listening to them. OHG is actually quite philosophical as well.

Do you actually follow politics?

Just a hint, nobody listens to Radio 4, except people above the age of 65.

I'm sick of people claiming that I'm 'gay' because I go to a boy's GRAMMAR school. Does going to a single gender school make you homosexual? No. Do I need to go to a mixed school to get a girlfriend? No. It's better than being thick and getting several D's and E's for GCSEs in a mixed school...

People claim you're gay if you haven't had a girlfriend in the last week.

I get that quite a lot too. I'd rather do well at school than get stuck in a co-ed school full of idiots, like you said.

Wow, that's stupid. I am extremely unpatriotic, so I could probably get out of it. If that didn't work I'd just say, "screw you" and walk out. There are alternative organisations, right?

That's ridiculous. They can't force you to support your country or be patriotic. Not that you're not, but this is kind of ridiculous.

Now, I mean this in the most friendly and non-combative way possible, but such lack of patriotism grinds my gears. I've always thought that people should be proud to be a citizen of their born or adopted country, and to sort of... not bite the hand that feeds you, in a way. I'm definitely not saying we all need to undertake wannabe soldier exercises (in fact, there are probably better ways of expressing patriotism), but whenever I hear anyone emphatically declare a lack of patriotism like it strikes me as more of an ill-though out blanket statement than anything else. Certainly no state is perfect (believe me...), but those types of statements annoy me because I believe us and our families owe, in large part, their well-being, freedom, and relative security to the state and its various organs.

Again, I want to reiterate that I'm not going after you personally - I just want to respectfully disagree with your opinion of this particular matter.

Here, we have to say the pledge of allegiance every morning. Basically we vow to protect the USA. It's stupid and I think it actually makes people less patriotic. I hate it and will never say it, because I don't really like America (after all, it's full of Americans ).

I agree, the "Pledge of Allegiance" is, in lack of a better word, stupid. Of course, if you don't recite it in the morning at our school, the teachers get all offended and lecture you on how lucky you are to live in America. So, in fear of being lectured, I either mumble it or just say it very quietly. Stupid patriotism. Luckily, I hear that in high school, they don't force it on you any more, so that's something to look forward to. :)

They don't, and I don't say it. I don't hate America, but I'm not super proud of it either. I'm proud of the history, but nothing else. All I ever see on news, talk shows, or any other media covering situations and events is how downhill we're going, about all bad things. It's just really pessimistic, but true to a degree. The stupidity of most of the population annoys me, and being that the kids are the future of the country, I can tell we are screwed. Most of the kids in my school know absolutely nothing, and I mean NOTHING about politicians, government function, or anything else like that. They all say "police is stupid man" even though they're the ones that protect us, and they all say how we're better than every other country. It's really annoying.

Anyway, if that wasn't a gear grinder, being that it wasn't meant to be, here's one: I feel like total crap. Out of nowhere. I'm guessing that it's from sitting inside all day, between school, chores, homework, and then GT5 for way too long. But my parents are asking me what's wrong, my girlfriend is, and my one friend from school is, but I don't know what to tell any of them. Maybe it's just little things that have been bugging me lately, maybe it's my girlfriend's self-harm way of dealing with things, maybe it's getting yelled at for everything. Whatever it is, I just want it to go away, I am just so depressed and angry, over something I don't even know!

They don care at my highschool. But I think we need to respect our country.

Sorry for the double post but yes! I'm not the only one to notice that! Everyone is stupid at my school too!! We are totally screwed. This kid in my class didn't even know what 4 times 9 is and I'm in 9th grade!

You think you're cold. I just spent 1 hour outside with some morons doing bloody army drills. :grumpy:

I ran 2 miles after it snowed last night and was raining/snowing whilst I was doing it a few hours ago. :sly:

After 3 weeks of no school I'm terribly out of shape. Ran 1 mile today and almost threw up.

At least you were in shape. I've never been. I'm fat. Extremely obese and I'm trying to shed some weight and it's rough.

Was testing the new DLC on GT5 while in a room and someone joined with an X2011 and sat at the pits. Not surprisingly he rammed me first thing so I directly go to boot. Can't people just 🤬 off and not do this? It's annoying that I have to stop just because little Jimmy feels the need to drive his X2011 backwards on the Ring.

I have realized....

Every single Japanese car I have ever owned has had a problem with the windshield.

The Civic had a perfect windshield, then the hood flew open and ruined it.

The 3000GT had a crack at the top, it needed to be replaced.

The MR2 has 2 cracks in it.

It's odd....and I don't really like it. I love the cars themselves, but those windshields....

Family birthdays grind my gears. Especially when they have to visit us. My aunties hate us. (One started yelling at my mother last time) My cousins are okay but one is a drug addicted. And me being the not showman for the people who think they are cool just wants them to go away so I can carry on with what I was doing before they arrive. They're coming soon, I know it. The more annoying bit is that each part of the family comes at a different time. Grandad comes at about 1 PM, then leaves at about 3 or 4. Then soon after Nana comes, that takes up another two hours, then all the uncles and aunties show up taking the entire day. It's just such a pain in the butt!!!!

People who disapprove of music made with real instruments grind my gears. So I have Maiden blasting out of my headphones during tutor, people who listen to Dubstep and other rubbish say "Turn that 🤬 off!". No, try listening to music made with real instruments and something that doesn't sound like someone breaking wind. :grumpy:

I went to redeem the PSN card that my brother bought me for Christmas so I could buy the new GT5 DLC, but I kept getting the message "The funds could not be added to the wallet". My brother had another PSN card (it was a two $30 cards for $50 sale) and that didn't work either - it seems as if the cards weren't even activated (highly likely since he bought them from an online store).

Agreed. I think it's just that they're so addicted to their computers (that's how they access their fiddling imagery :P) That when a site finally gives their PC, they get used to the horrible noises of their PC destroying itself. Then Dubstep comes along and they're like. "Wooow, c did tin. It do fnky stff!" Then they're addicted.

Well when they say that just remind them of the fact that many of todays "modern artists" are only there because they won a tallent show which half the time is because they are so bad they are funny.

I HATE people like that.

What's grinding my gears today?Someone wanted me to give him my GT5 save file because his corrupted and he lost 500+ cars. What he was going to do was use a program to convert my GT5 save so he can use it on his PSN.

I told him I won't give out my save file but I'll be more than happy to send him any cars he needs. But he still wanted my save so I just ignored him. Seriously, beggars can't be choosers. 👎

And why would I give out my save so someone can have the exact same cars and progress as I do?

What grinds my gears? The incompetence of other people. In other words, someone made an administrative **** up which could postpone my move to Japan by two weeks.

Which in turn, will also postpone my wedding by two weeks.:grumpy:
