Rb26x, it seems to be like that with my friends. They're usually busy and it's not like I can just walk over to their houses and it seems as though were slowly separating. Plus now that we don't have a single class with each other I'm afraid of what'll happen. :nervous: I'm also a little afraid of getting completely separated after school but I still have a few years to go.

Get a job, helped me out a ton.

Technicolors, I know you weren't talking about that but I wanted to tell you because it's something I wish people would have told me.

Also, I have a friend who smokes weed and is very smart and funny, gets better grades than I, but I wouldn't recommend drugs. I have never used them but they seem like something I'm going to put on hold forever.

Earlier in response to my essay of a post about high school, rb26x said something about a thread about high school. Would anyone be interested if I made one?

I have a Jo but it's not really full time. I go in to my dads shop sometimes after school but usually after school I just wanna go home. I try to motivate myself to go to show him I'm more responsible to my brother as he says he wants to work there but I just can't.

After school I would too, I worked on weekends, although my job is seasonal. Apply at Dorney Park if you're in the area close enough, and they almost always hire. Just say you don't want to work in Games, because they stand by themselves. Try the food department, you'll work with my girlfriend or myself if I get a call back, I haven't and it's been two weeks. Anyway, you can apply online and I certainly don't regret applying, the people that work there are nice.

A high school thread would be awesome Bubble, go for it!

So, yesterday at school, we were all forced to attend this presentation called "Not My Kid" (No idea why it's called that). Our school makes us attend these things periodically throughout the year; they're usually about bullying and cyber-bullying, and one was about drugs and alcohol. This presentation was about depression. The presentation was very interesting; listening to the speaker's life story was intriguing but a bit scary, too, but the end really ground my gears. At the end of her big story, the lady says,"And so then I gave my life to Christ, and I've been so much happier since." No, no, no, you have it all wrong, lady, depression can't just be cured by taking up a religion and worshiping some random guy. No, depression is a serious thing; it can't be cured, at least not completely. No, you need good medication to clear it up somewhat, but saying that religion helped you get over it is a bunch of bull. You don't just get over depression, ok, lady? You obviously either take medication that helps, or you simply weren't depressed, but rather just unhappy with life itself. Some people are such idiots, and claiming that religion is the way out is bull, especially when it's being said to somebody like myself, who isn't exactly pro-religion. Geez...

I have that at my school. And it was the way out for me :D

Hm how's the pay there? I was considering it but of course working at my dads would be a bit better just for the sake of no need to apply, no transportation, etc. In the summer I can go in full time for my dad and get payed $40 for a 10 hour shift. It'd be nice working with other people my age but working at the shop seems to have more benefits.

To get back on topic what grinds my heard is that Two Door Cinema Club only has one album. :( I love almost all of there songs and I'm only missing one from the album that I don't like.

It certainly would have more, but it's more the experience that I like at Dorney. If you're 16 it's minimum wage.

This is my last post until I have a gear-grinder, way too off-topic, Bubble, I'm going to your thread now.

Isn't there already a thread that's similar?

I understand fully though, I worry about it all the time. Even now, with some of my friends going to tech 4 periods out of the day, we are not even close to being as good friends as we once were. I feel so far from everyone, even living near each other and all. I know what you mean with the pothead friend too, my best friend since preschool is a huge pothead, yet I still love the guy, he's so funny, and he doesn't brag about it or anything, he actually has stopped buying to try to convince himself to stop based on money. Anyway, I do worry about losing friends after school, especially when we talk about colleges and schools we plan on going to, because it's not like we'll stay together and give up on dreams to hang out. I don't know, maybe college will lend some friends, but I hate so many people that are in my age group.

I see what you're saying, RB. It would be nice for all of your & my friends to be with you, but they have lives of their own. I mean, you would still hang out from time to time like a reunion, but you can't control a person's life to just hang out. Different for couples though :P But still, I have very little connections to my friends. Y'know, I'd imagine having lots of fun in high school. Doing things like student-prescribed projects, playing pranks on each other, the sort of teen-life thing. On the other hand the memories in middle school & friends would just faint away, and break apart into pieces that will never be pieced again. Such a pain is already beginning.. But I believe that it won't persist, because I have a feeling that lots of my friends will store the memories in a neat, indestructible document in their heads to view endlessly.

@ Bubble & RB

I'm a bit surprised that you two have pothead friends as well

Why are you suprised?

Also I'm not aware of another thread like this. All the threads here grind my gears because if you don't search the right thing and don't find a thread that's like it you make one and then get b****** at by a million people until it gets closed.

The kids in the low education, the stoners I guess you could say.

It's okay to be failing all classes, and smoke weed and do drugs? :indiff:

Strongly disagree. I've seen people on the edge of suicidal being totally transformed through the Christian faith.
And I can't see what the problem is anyway, she knows better than anyone how she got through her depression (including you). She was sharing how she did it. If you think this is immoral in any way then please tell us why.

I'm not sure you understand the point that I was trying to make : Religion does not cure depression. It doesn't work like that. It doesn't just zap it away. Depression isn't exactly a state of mind, it's simply a thing that some people have due to not having enough of the chemicals that elevate a person's mood, such as serotonin, being produced. If you want to curb this, medication is the best way. Religion? Not so much.

It does for me

Some mod merged my picture thread into some random thread. Makes literally no sense to me. Everything was clearly labeled as to what it was about and literally no confusion at all should of been made. Click on "be my photographer!" in my signature and see if you can see any similarities to the thread it got merged with.

I just had my worst nights sleep in a long time. :grumpy: Fell asleep around 11, woke up 5.20...:(
Edit: 3000th post! :D

That is quite silly because I don't think a Lotus Elise is Japanese, and I don't think a (future) contest or requesting images for a tuning garage should be in another thread for generally posting images of Japanese cars. :irked:

And I'm not sure what you are trying to state either. Religion is a change to your attitude to life. Oh, and ask any doctor, medication isn't the best way at all - it's a slight help to push people in the right direction, and it doesn't work for everyone.

Don't mean to be an ass but can you keep the religious debate in the Do you believe in God thread?

Your not an ass. 👍
I'm just rejecting someone's complaint. I think that it is irrational what the guy is saying.

I just got the message no gamer wants to look at. Your PS3's hard drive may be corrupted. I did have back ups of all my important games though. Turns out everything was OK and no files were corrupted

Im really struggling to start my homework. I've got the book open in front of me but I keep getting distracted by GTP and YouTube. Having the whole weekend to do it doesn't help, I work best with an ominous hand in date.
