Is there anyone else who could take you to the Autoshow? You haven't been bad, so I don't see why you should suffer too.

I wish someone else could but I don't think so. I really don't think he'll change his mind since he didn't want to go in the first place.

Unfortunately I don't think any of my parents friends are going or would. I know my mom wouldn't for sure.
 
Well, there is a whole situation grinding my gears. A few of you may have read my post a few days ago about my grandfather having Parkinson's disease. I called him yesterday and it seemed he was dealing with it fine.

But I visited him today. He has a distant look on his face, a constant worry. It's understandable of course, but I hate to see him like that. He smiles at something but then he has the same defeated look in his eyes.

Can't hurt to ask though. My mum hated taking me go karting, but she did because she knew no one else would.

I can give it a shot but I'm fairly certain he wouldn't for a few reasons. She doesn't like cars if course, it's crowded and she wouldn't know how to get there either.
 
Today, my Playstation froze while I was online in Gran Turismo 5. No biggie, I'll just turn it off. So, I turn it off, and turn it on again. I am greeted with that whole "We think your data might be corrupted, so we're gonna scan the system to check". Well, stupid me went ,"Nah, it's always a false alarm. I don't wanna deal with this," and I restarted the system. It boots up, this time without the corrupted data message, and I go to Gran Turismo. And then, as it's loading, it's asking me to go through all the same procedures that I had to do when I played the game for the very first time. Then it occurred to me : the data really did corrupt. Luckily, I did a backup onto a reliable USB drive, so I plugged that in, and loaded that. So, thankfully, it's not as bad as it could've been, but now I've lost about a week's worth of progress. No biggie compared to what it could've been, but lesson learned : always let the Playstation make sure your data's ok, or else you're screwed. I'm such an idiot. :dunce:

Just casually. I would loved to have done it competitively, but that option wasn't really made available to me. My mum did at least take me go karting occasionally, but aside from that, I haven't really raced competitively.

Not unless racing on rented motorbikes through a quiet part of Greek countryside counts. I did that when I was 18 and stupid.

Haha. Fortunately I have had the wonderful privilege to be around racing all of my life.
 
What really Grinds my Gears is great bands never quite making it and dying before their time, like One Minute Silence, a great british band, basically Britains answer to Rage Against The Machine.

I reckon Vandenal would like them
 
@madmike: I'll check them out. I will most likely listen to them a lot. I'm becoming anti-social again. My friends are veering away again, and it grinds my gears. Only one person talks to me, he is a true friend. Thank you Ryou.
 
I don't get SPEED in my room so I can't watch the Rolex 24 @ Daytona. This is extremely annoying.
 
At the end of every video game trailer, seeing the xbox logo. That just ticks me off to no end. What makes xbox so great? Nothing! The only reason xbox has that fake superiority is because Microsoft bribes every company in the world for better and more exclusive stuff.
 
Stupid people grind my gears. On Trademe someone is selling an AutoArt 1/18 Gran Turismo livery Skyline (the one in GT4 with 550 HP). Bids start at $90. Then a second person came along... The bids now look like this...

Nah, I think he's just finding the reserve price. I assumed he was just an idiot and posted here immediately. :lol:

But another example. Someone else on Trademe is selling a 1/43 Porsche Carrera GT. It's yellow in very good condition but it's $80! No one buys it so about half a year later, they reduce the price by $5. What difference is that going to make!?
