The Citroen GT Concept Car definetly sounds interesting.

Any of the Lancias sound great. Especially with follow cam

Im more of a fan of the start-up sounds for each car, particularly the high end ones and race cars. I love that some of them sound like a tin can full of nails for a second, then roar to life (I'm looking at you, '74 Countach).
I dont get to hear the best of the engine sounds when Im driving since I use bumper cam. Chase is where it's at for sounds, but I might as well be piloting a shopping cart for my skill in that view.

just try a fully tuned vette convertible c1 (54) ..... you will hear what i mean;)

They all sound like ass.
Indeed who are you guys kidding? The 458? LFA? Bollocks.

No car in GT5 sounds the way the real one does. Correct me if u'm wrong with evidence cause i never heard a good sounding car in GT5.👎

I love the LFA '10, the Aston Martin DB9 (only Premium V12 car which has a proper sound :irked:), the NASCAR's (though too much gearwhine).

Id rate GT5 sounds 6/10, there are a few great sounding cars, but the majority are terrible:yuck:

Has anyone mentioned the McLaren F1 yet? Well, that. I also enjoy the GT300 and GT500 cars from cockpit view.

The two Jaguars, the S Type R and the XFR both have a fantastic raspy V8 sound...definitely worth a go :D

Maserati Gran Turismo, completely stock apart from the racing exhaust. It gives me tingles when it goes up into 3rd.

C-West Razo Silvia was mentioned a ton in an earlier thread like this. Nice bottom heavy exhaust sound on that one.

That's because it's powered by industrial machinery...with a turbocharger :D

In my opinion it sounds like a diesel almost. DEFINITELY doesn't sound anything like it does in real life...Again, PD getting engine noises mixed up.

Ginetta G4.
A classic 1500cc engine with nice exhausts

Ameiya RX7 06 (Super GT300)

Xanavi Nismo Z 06

Lotus Espirit fully tuned. O.M.G!!!

I'd second the Cizeta engine note.

Weird thing is, I haven't really given a damn about my namesakes engine note in this game. And the note really isn't that close to real life...unlike, say, a Gallardo, which is very much on the ball.

Anyway, Ford Mark IV is an easy one, Murcielago LP670-4, LFA, 787B, CT230R/Atenza Touring Car and (racing exhaust) Imprezas are my personal favourites.

LOL negative.

They sound like a cat in a blender with racing exhausts but if you put a high performance cat on ad leave the stock headers in it, they sound good. A semi race exhaust helps here and there on them, especially the 22b.

Lexus ISF stock version.

This car sounds 100% on the spot. This is the closest stock car you can compare to real life which you can't hear any differences.

maserati gran turismo S sounds pretty good with the exhaust and no gearbox mods. Sounds terrible without exhaust and always sounds terrible with the gearbox.

Shelby Cobra? 2J? There aren't many that sound good, but there are some. The important factor seems to be decent bass from your sound equipment but even that isn't enough to make most cars sound good.

Scoobies sound rubbish whatever you do to them. They sound rubbish in real life too, I should know, 3 of my neighbours have them.

I just love the startup sound of the 787b(stealth, don't know if it's different than the normal one)

The Mach 1 Mustang sounds like poo. 351W's do not sound like that, nor do any of the 440s in the Dodge Muscle cars. The built 289 in the GT350R sounds like butt also.

I just got the privelege of being scared half to death in my friend's '91 Honda CRX down some local A roads, and can confirm that the sound for the '86 Ballade CRX with sports exhaust is about as true to a new back box as it's ever going to get

The 458 at high RPM.:eek:

Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 Zagato
Jaguar XJ13
Shelby AC Cobra

Lexus ISF racing concept, deep exhaust note

The Delta fully tuned sounds like my old fiat used to, right across the rev range, though unfortunately my fiat didn't have the turbo noises.

My Personal favourite sounding car is the '69 Camaro Z28.

You mean stock right? Those cars with racing exhausts sound pretty good in my opinion. :)
