When we (Me, Mum, Dad, Sister and Brother in law) my nephews to the park and the boys were on the swing and my Brother in law started counting down in Welsh (Releasing them after 1 obviously).

He was at 5 (I later found out) and he said Pimp.

I queried it obviously and yes it's true. Looked it up on Google, it's spelt Pump and pronounced Pimp.

Made me giggle.

That's the first time I've heard someone laugh at that. Proabably because in Wales we learn that before we even know what a pimp is.

Yeh, I had a similar reaction with other Dragons on another forum. I suppose you get used to it though and then as you said by the time you know what a pimp is, you think 'Meh'.

I'll probably stop s******ing at it within a week.

PS: Oops, that's not suppose to read what says. First time I've seen it starred out on that word though, must be because the other forums are quite old.

I got jumped, but I didnt have any money or anything.

It was a cold, dark subway.

It was 6am.

It was snowing.

It was New York City.

Some weird guy walks up all 'you wanna get stabbed'?

Im all 'erm... no?'

He's all 'then gimme your money'

Im all 'RUN THE #@$# AWAY!!!'

It was pretty funny, after I got far enough away.

"Haha, I was almost stabbed! I guess I'll cancel my subscription for paramount comedy and just walk around NYC on my own at 3 in the morning...". You're seriously weird.

Yeah that was pretty weird Sakiale. I mean, I know for a fact that you did lived in Bayside, but not even a person like me, who loves to walk around the city, would get up at 5-6 in the morning on a snowy day just for the heck of it.

Well, don't do it again...specially if you're in Cali now :scared:

Ciao!

'Tis a nice piece of kindling, for sure. I'm just guessing, but it's probably lost a bit of its original tone...

First of all, aren't you only 12? In what situation would you be by yourself on the subway at 6 AM? And, what kind of parents would let their 12 year-old child ride alone on a NYC subway at 6 AM?

Secondly, nobody who has ever been threatened on the street (myself included) thinks it's funny afterwards. Case in point:

If you're going to make up stories, at least make them plausible.

That right there made me smile today :). Too bad Trevor Hoffman hasn't been of any use to the Padres in their playoff series.

I was going to school in Manhattan. And it was funny.

School in Manhattan? Not a very cost-effective measure, eh?

My five-year-old telling me about his "candy" dream he had last night.

"A-an-an, huh, mom, see gave me a lolly pop, and uh... she said, 'I'll let you have a sugar sandwich if you eat all your lolly pops,' and then you (me) said I could have a candy bar, anyway, and-an-and, and then, uh... mom..."

I guess strange dreams run in the family.

Alright, let's just pretend he was just trying to be funny. He did live in NYC however, he did not live in Manhattan, and as to my knowledge, there is no way you could possibly be going to a public school that is not in your district. And if it was a private school, you would've had acces to private transportation from your house to the school, AAANND, most public schools start ar 7:30am on NON-SNOW days.

Let's just drop it there -----------------------------

On the OP's question: I just went to a Taco Bell in Queens with a spanish girl that I met at school the other day, so we decided to take the drive thru instead of going inside, so I order and the lady at the speaker was clearly spanish and she was having a hard time trying to understand what my order was, so my friend rolls her eyes and starts ordering in spanish for me and...the order taker didn't understand her either!, I mean, my friend is from Chile and I can tell that her spanish is good because even I can understand it, (it's very similar to Italian) and I just laughed at the fact the spanish lady, didn't speak english, worked at a Taco Bell (a taco place :dunce: ), and she didn't understand spanish either! when we drove up to the next window, we saw that she was indeed spanish and then she started talking in spanish with a co-worker and Sarah was like, wait a minute, she is spanish, so how come she didn't understand me. I went like, Sarah, I really don't know where your people are heading to in this country if they keep going like that. She just laughed.

Ciao!

Not exactly funny, but kind of bad:

While I was working at my wonderful pizza making job, one of the guys was outside cutting wood with a circular saw(with a cord) He has doing fine till I walked out to see him. As soon as I walked through the door, HE CUT THROUGH THE CORD. He stated to curse at the saw, I came up to him and said "better than a cup of coffee?". He promptly told me shut up

He had a hammer in his hand, didn't want to provoke him...

Brian Vickers finally earning his first win in the NASCAR race today.

Some foreign guy was sitting next to me in a lecture today, couldn't speak English properly and he tried to ask me my name, i didn't understand at first so he repeated and then when i realised what he was asking i said 'Ohhh! Ricky' then the guy shook my hand and said 'oricky my name is Ali'
I couldn't be bothered to correct him so i just let him call me oricky for the rest of the lecture:lol:

Heh heh.

I lauged out loud when we were discussing peoples recent bereavements. Someone farted and as usual, I was in hysterics.

Nothing. I have to work all day due to school being out and not my work place. :( At least I get to sleep in an extra hour and leave way earlier than work.

School day schedule:
Wake up 6:30 AM
get to school at 7:45
leave at 2:35 PM
go to work
leave at 5:00 PM

Work day schedule:

Wake up at 5:30 AM ( )
get in at 7:00 AM
Leave at 5:00 PM ( )

Im pretty much humorless right now.

ahh well, at least your getting paid. And you do get weekends off?? if you dont, i feel sorry for you lol!

One of my female friends has a crush on thsi guy in college, and usually she's quite resevered with her clothing despite having a really good figure. Except now she's wearing cleavalage revealing tops and today she was sitting talking to this guy with her cleavalage perfectely lined up for this guy and she was completely entranced by him.

I took the piss out of her all day on the bus on the way home.

I was in 7th Grade going to Hunter College High School

Do I have to dig up their website?

I work at a retail store here in NZ from 5pm till midnight every weeknight. Well so does one of my best friends. Well just last night I was driving home and he was behind me in his little pocket rocket Integra (Riced up a bit obviously) Well him being in a racey mood decided to to a side road that runs parrallel to the road we were on, then joins back on. So he floored it trying to get infront of me. Now where this road joins is a very tight corner. As you can guess he went off... Worse than that. he took out a Railway sign, which was stuck under his car, my guess destroying components under the car... Even worse than THAT... His car finally stopped ON the Railway line itself. He is ok, so therefore I found it very funny. His car (Which was used in a High Octane DVD) may well be written off...

How our sub for Java couldn't pronounce photosynthesis.

"Um, so what's that thing where plants make their own food?"
"PHOTOZYYYZEZIZ."

Today in Social Studies, we were voting on a radio station to listen to, and my classmates name is Jonathan Acker. Under the 'nominations' column, she wrote his name as 'JAcker'.

I fail to see the funny. I get it, but it just fails at being funny.

Anyways, I laughed at myself because I finally broke down and was consumed by DesktopX/WindowBlinds. I can't stand not having that Vista Glass theme on XP :D.

The fact that I am getting less and less embarrassed to reveal personal details about myself to my family. I think they actually know I'm in the school's Improv Society now 👍... now if I could get the cojones to pull out my guitar or do some improv with them watching :p

I'm also starting to notice a major lapse in some of the conservativeness that goes on with my parents - ie, I came home very late today and caught my parents watching some pakistani/indian channels. I made a comment about the fact that the ladies looked like they had more Botox in them then Steven Tyler... They responded with wondering how many old women I have stared at to have come to that conclusion. Then they started asking if I'm ready to start seeing someone... creepy considering my conservative Pakistani background

I've gotten a giant laugh from watching Yoda's (Uberman) downfall in the last hour. Great stuff. He'll never learn.

I got a bit of a laugh and a shock learning that Jacob & Co have just released a watch called the "The Quenttin" and it costs a whopping £157,000

Spec....

I bought a tube of Jaffa Cakes this morning, and when I got back to my office, I left them on my desk directly underneath my lamp. I just went to eat one now, and the chocolate on the top one had melted - I think I've just discovered something fantastic 👍

Reading about all those crazy yanks queing up to buy PS3's, getting robbed, fined for putting up tents on the side walk and involved in riots

- Why can't they just wait a few weeks then walk into a store and buy one off the shelf?

We've got cookies and cakes in work today, that made me smile.
