Lian Li PC-X2000F was about to buy the case for quite some time. Also Thermaltake Level10 is great. But I modified my Silverstone TJ10 and now I'm happy ;)
 
Installed elementary OS Luna on my Mac Mini (triple boot). It's pretty nice to look at but a nightmare to make it work and maintain it. I couldn't even login using the default login manager. Apparently the OS took about 2 years in order to enter Feature Freeze, and it has no release date. Please don't be a Duke Nukem Forever.
 
I fitted a 240 in the top lid, a thick 120 on the air intake of the center and a MoRa external.
Once I have my new camera I'll post some pictures ;)
 
I'm wanting to clean my laptop screen, however its not a glossy screen so wouldn't really be able to use a window cleaner thing. Its more of an anti-glare screen as it looks more matte than anything else.

So, anyone has any ideas what I can use to clean the screen with? It seems to attract a lot of dust as well....

Its a Lenovo Thinkpad E525 series, if anyone want to check what it is.
 
I'd make a cloth slightly damp with window cleaner for tough stains. Make it too damp and the liquid will flow into the monitor bezel. Otherwise use a small microfiber cloth to clean it.

Micro fiber cloth damped with water?

The cloth you get to clean glasses works wonders without anything just dry like that.

Got my I5 3570K CPU, MX-4 TIM, XSPC 5.25" coolant tank, Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD and Dominator Airflow fan.
 
Micro fiber cloth is the best solution as the guys said.
Just make sure your display is off and cool down before you clean it, otherwise you could kill a pixel.

If I recall correctly, the ammonia in glass cleaner will ruin the screen. Go with a dry microfiber cloth for dust and a slightly moistened cloth for anything stubborn.

You recall correctly, If you must use a cleaner, user a LCD screen cleaner.
 
I recommend you guys to get one of these 3M Scotch Brite cloth. They work really good!

It cost me at MYR19.90 which is no cheap but does it's job excellently!
 
Another vote for dampened (not soaking) microfiber cloth, here. For tough stains and little bits of whatever, just literally lightly scrape it away with your thumbnail, then wipe over the top of it to remove the rest. :) This method has worked for my MacBook, which has the most... UGH screen ever invented. Picked up a fricking spec of dust and makes it look like a cow took a dump on my screen. Really bad stuff.

EDIT: If I recall correctly, I got the idea from TB who posted it a long time ago in this thread, around the 15 - 20 page mark.
 
LCD screen cleaner just sounds like something a manufacturer would use to charge a far higher price than a standard screen cleaning product.

So, basically I have to find a cleaning product that has no ammonia in it?

There is a slight stubborn mark on the screen that does need to go.

CRTs had glass panels on the front so it was fine to use window cleaner on them.
 
You just need a glass cleaner and damp the cloth a little. It will work fine. No need to spend big bucks on LCD cleaner.
 
Cable Manage my pc I am making.

Just using the back side of the motherboard tray and some old sticky tape.

Front panel LEDs and switches, HD Audio and +12V 8 Pin CPU stuck down.

Does anyone know what the real install size for Windows 7 x64 is? There are so many different answers on the net ranging from 8GB to 30GB so I'm sure half of them don't really have a clue!

Basically would it fit on a 16GB SSD?
 
can someone please tell me why power supplys are now becomming more popular to install on the bottom of the case? Wouldnt you want the PS to be at the top since it generates a lot of heat?

It isolates it from the rest of the case. It has it's own intake on the bottom, and an exhaust out the back. No heat enters the case.
 
Power supplies are getting more cool since they are designed to be more efficient(look for the ones with the "80Plus" logo). The reason why the power supplies are being mounted on the bottom is to as beguauk said, to remove a factor of heat in the computer. Hence why the bottom PSU mounted cases are getting more popular since a good number of them have their own dust filter just for the power supply. It makes cleaning a device that you should not open much easier since there is less dust inside of it.
 
Rear Case fan and Ram Cooler tied together and sharing the same Chassis fan jack.

XP was 3~4GiB not 1GiB.

My Windows folder 7 SP1 is 20GiB and it has a few updates and a few game files(DX files, and SxS files)

...Bloatware? Bloatware comes from the manufacturer, and it also is normally deemed as useless stuff that you wouldn't want. Most of that isn't lumped into the Windows system folders. Windows updates stack up, driver files stack up, DX11 files stack up. Everything stacks up. There's a reason why its the size it is, and its not "bloatware".

Just because XPSP3 fits on a CD doesn't mean it can't unpack to something much larger. Same for 7, it may fit on a DVD, but that doesn't mean it can't unpack to 3 times it's size.
 
Almost done assembling a new computer desk. Just gotta nail in a board in the back, screw a cabinet door onto the desk, and then put the 49.5"Wx22"D desk surface on. Hasn't been too bad assembling a desk for the first time. Though it was annoying that I put a part on wrong and had to remove everything to correct it!

They're not the easiest of things to assemble. Or disassemble... :lol:
 
I'm assembling it slow and not rushing it. Gonna continue tomorrow. Time intensive work but worth it for a desk that is actually useable in my room and will look a lot nicer.
