I have cleaned up some room so I can begin this:

Good luck man.
I crash in every session at least 3 times.
And installed the game already more then 5 times new.
Make sure you have the newest driver for you GTX otherwise the performance breaks down all together.

Not what I wanted to hear...., thanks for the warning though!

If you have problems, let me know.
I'm "playing" the game since release date and have by now a collected knowledge of all workarounds available ;)
But the game, when it runs, is just ground breaking awesome.

Did you degrease the radiator?

Happy fitting ;)

You mean deflux by flushing it out with water.

Yes.

The way i was just a normal fill and dump after about doing that 10 times Idid it was add a small off cut of hose over a tap(surprisingly it fitted over nicely so I did not have to hold it) then i added the other end of the hose to the radiator and turn the tap on gently then slowly added more flow(but not full force) to remove all the flux and I did it both ways.

Best is, if you flush with mixture of degreaser like cilit bang green and destilled water and after rinse sorely.
This is to remove the residues of soldering.
If you didn't do it, it's not so bad but you could get residues settling in your pipes and cooler over time.

From what I read the flux or any other internal coating is water soluble so their is no need for any chemicals.

I did to this sort of thing with warm water, after I rinsed with dis-tilled water.

All hoses added.

My rad won't fit, so it is time to make it fit, by cutting out the small area in front of the outline.

Today,I will be taking the stock cpu fan off(It's shot) and putting on a used one until the one I ordered arrived.I am surprised the fan went out since it's only 6months old.

Looking good! I love my Swiftech water blocks, by the way! 👍

Cut a hole some of my computer cases top chassis frame out to fit a 280 radiator in.
Added coolant and bleed the system, used a little over 700ml.

Just need to get the GTX680 installed which I also ordered.

That build looks frickin' sexy Grayfox. Not my kinda thing inside, but the outside aesthetics look... rawr.

Great work!

Looks sweet. For fun, you should make some benches without the 680 and see how much of an improvement it makes.

For me today, I've troubleshooted a Dell Optiplex GX520. The computer would not power on when you press the switch. The motherboard gets the power but won't boot. I checked it over and apparently the front panel was pushing the power button down and disconnected it from the motherboard. So some adjustments to the front panel fixed it. Also noticed that the fan bearings in the PSU and CPU fan were going bad so those are getting replaced. Replacement PSU ordered and replacement Dell fan(special four pin fan) ordered. So I will also be replacing the thermal paste on the CPU while I'm changing the fan. Plus from the client's request I'm upgrading the 1GB stock memory to 4GB total. Hard drive was in great condition and no work had to be done on it.

Edit: Yep. The PSU failed. Seems like it fried. Won't even turn on with my power supply tester. My spare Antec 350W ATX PSU boots the computer just fine. Well it's a good thing that the replacement will come by Thursday. The worst part is that the PSU is custom made and no other company makes them other than Dell.

I just installed elementaryOS daily build (highly unstable Ubuntu 12.04) on a spare iMac. Now I need internet to install the Wifi drivers. Whatever I do, I just keep getting the chicken and egg problem.

The issue with dell is they are not ATX spec PSUs or motherboards.
But I do love the delta fans they use.

Yeah I got the form factor PSU researched. It's the LFX12V form factor standard. The Intel website actually references two LFX12V power supplies that they tested. Sadly there is no way to get those power supplies and you have to rely on used or refurbished power supplies. It's just a form factor that Intel pushed onto everyone.

One of the better of the unpopular form factors is TFX12V. TFX12V is not that bad since you can get decent PSU's at decent prices, though they are in the 275-400watt range.

Have not installed windows yet.
Waiting on my EVGA GTX680 Superclocked to come.

But getting 25C in the UEFI.

If you are up for it, get an normal ATX PSU and swap the pins.
But don't know if it will work.

Wouldn't even work. But really I got a used higher wattage Dell PSU for $21.98. This is what it looks like:

Looking forward to your results ;)
Btw you have a water temperature sensor installed?

Basically this one goes in a G1/4 connection anywhere in the circuit.
You could connect it e.g. in the expansion tank if you have an extra connection.
I wouldn't recommend fitting it on one of the coolers, because it could restrict the flow depending on the layout of the cooler.
I have the exact same sensor just from a different brand, and fitted mine on one of the extra ports of the radiator.

Btw, you might consider this site for some of your parts, they have a great selection.

I've had a laptop in my possession at work since the day I started but the battery is dead and I had no charger. Someone just received their new desktop on Friday and brought me their laptop for re-imaging/shipping off to surplus (whichever I deem necessary). I looked at the model number of the power supply and then checked the laptop. Had a match! :dopey: I fired up the laptop and went to windows update only to be greeted by this:

A few hours later when that had all finished and been restarted, I checked again. Another 4 updates, so I did those, too. Restarted again and this:

It's a damn good thing that short of a few clicks and a restart here and there that updates aren't overly time consuming! :scared:
