What is error 80010038?!?! Got it to work! Nevermind

I had some issues with the PS3 and I turned GT5 back on and it wants to update patch 1.08. It downloads it and then says it can't install because of error 80010038.
Help!!

Yeah i found 20 different answers. Corrupt data, bad hdd, corrupt game data, illegal file write/copyright protection...

This happened WHILE reinstalling...I am currently restoring with a backup...

Hmmm... Try deleting the update, re-downloading, and reinstalling. If that fails try calling Playstation support, however it is possible if you continue receiving the same message that the file is corrupted on the playstation servers.

you messed up.... in order to reinstall you need to start a new save... did you delete the patch and play on your old save, then try to reinstall patch? if so you must start over.

No. No playing at all. Just tried to start the game. Problems.
I have the latest patch backed up from a few days ago, as well as a saved game.

restored from a week old backup. but now i've got other problems. ps tech support is on it!
