I've got a Merc SL55 with 800hp, a wing and a hideous paintjob which does ok. It's big trump cards are a relatively long wheelbase, bulk torque and an auto (which I use the paddles to control). The auto is nice because it slurs the shifts rather than pausing between gears like a manual-transmission-equipped car would, meaning you can upshift or downshift where required to maintain wheelspin in longer corners. The long wheelbase makes it more stable and predictable (IE less twitchy when sliding).
It may not be the best (nor is it Asian or indeed "mad-tyte JDM y0"), but it is a very easy car to learn drifting in.
