what is the best GT5 edition

hi _ i want to buy gt5 i am a new ps3 user from egypt
i found 3 editions in a local store

1_GRAN TURISMO 5 XL EDITION 290 EGP

2_GRAN TURISMO 5 ACADEMY 275 EGP

3_GRAN TURISMO 5 PLATINUM 250 EGP

Academy Edition includes the most updates on the disc (starts at 2.07), and it includes all of the DLC released so far except the most recent set.

XL, in comparison, only includes updates to Spec II and the first round of DLC; plus it's an NTSC only release so the DLC won't work on a non-NTSC PSN account.

The Platinum version is just the Greatest Hits version of the original game. No updates on the disc, meaning several hours of updates to install; and no DLC. Avoid it.

Compared to the original release, the XL Edition is updated up to 2.01 and you get some free DLC. The Academy Edition is updated up to 2.07 and has the same or a bit more free DLC. The Platinum Edition is a re-release of the original game at a lower price, but with on updates. I would get the Academy if I had the choice.

The PS3 is region free and as long as you use a HDMI cable, you won't have any problems with any version of the game.
