I am not saying you don't own those cars, but question.

Have any pics? :)

Rarest thing my uncle owned was a very expensive Ferrari F355 Belinetta, and a BMW 760Li. We no longer have them though. We ran through some money issues, so we sold them. The Ferrari is now a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, and the BMW is a 745iL.

Ottoman your mates has Nismo N1 bumper which is incorrect for that year. It should have the Vspec II bumper if it is a true 94. The main differences between that year and mine is the opening (centre is slightly larger with a colour insert instead of the normal black one. Also it should have Brembo brakes on the front with 310mm dia rotors instead of the base GTR and 297mm dia rotors. Mint unmolested 94's are rare as hen's teeth as most were turned into race cars in Japan.

interesting Razor

except his car says 94 on the chasis and the seat belts :(

and here's a shot of the brakes... are u sure that all 94's were these "race" versions u speak of? perhaps this version never hit your shores?

i have interior shots too if necc.

Though I will say one thing - people who were into cars when unintended acceleration was at its height tend to stay away from Audis today, whether consciously or subconsciously. Fifty-year-olds who have liked cars all their life don't own an Audi, even if they would own a BMW, and I swear unintended acceleration has a part in that.
You have a point.

Audi lost billions of dollars because people were pressing the accelerator instead of the brake. :dunce:

The last section of that article is disgraceful. It tells how a Mr William Rosenbluth drilled a hole in the Audi transmission and piped fluid into it so that the car would lurch forward from a parked position.

Any person watching 60 minutes would have been put off the Audi marque for life.

One thing I forgot to add is the BBS 17" alloys factory which again are very rare. Guys with GTS-t's and GTS4's snapped them up quickly when the owners changed them to aftermarket ones.

There are two 94's in New Zealand. One was turned into a street/drag car in Japan and purchased that way. It then went on to be further modified into Australasia's quickest street registered drag car running a blistering quick 9.01 1/4 mile time. It has sence been further modified to a full on drag car and broke the world record for street tyres on a 4wd car running an 8.54 on DOT tyres. It is btw up for sale for $125K " http://www.croydons.co.nz "

The other was a gunmetal grey which like your mate's, had the early version breaks on it. As I've said MOST were molested and then converted back to street to be sold off at either auction or privately. Finding one that is complete is very hard indeed. Nice car btw.

Only a few of the Ferrari when my uncle picked it up. The 760Li, no. Unless it's somewhere I don't know of. I'll try and find a pic of the Carrera 4S. I know we have a pic of being picked up, a few at the house, and some of it being unloaded out of the transporter. (My uncle wanted to pick it up as soon as i got there)

My dad restored a Bond Bug about 9 years ago or so, also restored a VW Beetle for a mate of his.

My uncles had three Fiat Strada abarths (Pretty rare I think, bloke who bought last one came from Spain just to collect it!),

I've got a sort of rare, atleast not common in UK facelifted Seat Ibiza '93 but before change over to newer, more rounded shape. Taking it in for an MOT tommorrow /fingers crossed, according to manufacturer its got 70BHP, not bad for a 1.2i. :)

My dad used to own a Jaguar. Like an xKR. He now owns a Infiniti G35. Only 30,000 G35's were made for the US and sold in the US last year.

30,000 per year is rare?

My Mom still has her 1979 Ford Granada Coupe with an inline 6...forest green ext...vinyl green interior, she still has the 8 track installed, ( she says she paid too much money for it just to get rid of it )

My family's never purchased rare cars so I would have to say the rarest car we own is my Honda Civic Si. There actually weren't too many of them made, and I have never seen one on the street... (The new generation hatchback that is...)

my mom had a nice ass fiero. gold.

but my dad traded it in for a rustang. BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if yours isnt "RICED OUT" then it sure is RARE! is it riced out?

No, it's not "riced-out". I'm leaving it stock. Plus, I got an awesome 4 year Honda Certified Used Car Warranty and 3 year new car warranty. So doing anything to the car would void it, and is just a stupid idea...

Ok well then this is a good thing.

Just noticed this thread...

The rarest cars my family has owned are a 1979 Mercuri Capri RS Turbo and a 1984 Ford Mustang SVO. Two identical (at heart), rare and very underappreciated cars.

In terms of extended family, uncle doug sould off his '64 C2 Coupe and '63 C2 convertible about a year ago, my great uncle eddie has a '64 Impala SS wagon, my cousin Danny has a '74 or so Mercury Montego, and my aunt Camiel (Dan's mother BTW) has a '74 Dodge Monaco

2003 Nissan 350Z or 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Which is more rare?

I have a 2000 Infinti I30T. T= touring, it adds an extra 7 hp, along with other goodies.

Well, I'm sure most of you won't consider this car rare. But, Let me explain. The car was a 1987 Oldsmobile Delta 88.

Here's a pic of one I found on cardomain.

ANyways, my dad had one of these when I was about 4 or 5. He kept it for about 11 years!!! Put over 250,000 miles on it. But, what makes it rare is what came with it. It was loaded. But, had more than I had ever seen. Instead of anoloag speedometer it had digital. I've never seen another digital cluster in these cars since. I have heard of one a guy has on the net. Only one. Also, the car my dad had talked. Instead of chimes for general warnings it spoke messages. For things like, overheating, lights left on, parking brake left on, etc. I have never seen nor heard of another one having this feature. I even emailed oldsmobile and they couldn't tell me anything!! If I could find this car I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Anyways, that's my rare car.

Maybe it was the 'Knight Indistries Special Edition'

280Zs talked like that. It's pretty shocking out of a 70s car!

Probably the rarest car anyone in my family has ever owned belonged to my great-grandfather. he owned a car by a company called a Maybomb (Maybaum?). They only made 12 cars. Ever. Not because they were so exclusive, but because they were such pieces of crap that the company went out of business within a very short period of entering the market.

Austin Maestros also talked too.

Many instances exist of crashed ones telling the dead/injured driver and any emergnecy services that the "Boot is open. Boot is open. Boot is open."
