i think the zonda is the worst

Care to back that up with a reason or does "because it sux" suffice for you?

Do we really need anymore of these pointless threads? I have only been here under 2 months but in my searches for other things I have found many threads like this, some with the exact same topic.

If you care to know press "search" and try "sucks", "sux" or "car AND sux" and you will have hours of pointless reading.

Well to add to this thread....Ya missed one car, the Escudo. I believe that has some handling issues.

people have differant reasons for thinking different things. i think the zonda sucks because it simply dont corner well and the front tires wear out fast. :ouch:
every one already knows the escudo is the worse i want to know the others

Of those four, I would have to say the Zonda. But there are worse handling cars. Much worse. The Lotus handles quite beautifully, and the Viper and Speed 12 are just a little powerslide-happy. Which can be fun. :)

I agree out of those 4 the zonda is the worst. The escudo sucks even more, but the worst handling by far is the shelby cobra. I hated it so much i sold it 2 days later. Buying that car is a waste of credits.

hey i made this thread a poll for a reason so vote

I found the Zonda understeered AND oversteered (thankfully not at the same time).
For a MR car, it should handle way better than that. But, since I've never driven a real one, I can't say for sure.
Even being MR, it wore out those front tyres really quickly.

I tell you what, I raced it in the Avante Gard championship, and I nearly pulled my hair out trying to keep it under control, not to mention keeping the lead!

The other car I find dicey is the Motorsport Lotus. I never mix tyre compounds on cars, so on Hard racing tyres it oversteered like a biatch! Even the sniff of a corner and it was sideways. Must have been the settings or something.
It wore the rear tyres out quick as well!

On the list it has to be Zonda as the worst.

Otherwise ... I don't think Escudo as the worst handling car. It's just too quick and you usually enter the corner too fast and try to steer, but it won't work. That is why it has that reputation in my opinion. Try braking earlier with it and slowly enter the corner. It will still achieve incredible top speed on the straights ... I must disagree totaly, that the Cobra is bad handling. The car has so much oversteer, that driving it makes me smile the whole time.

But that is just me :)

I don't know what is your problem, guys. The Zonda is fun to drive, and I can handle it well. So is the Escudo, so long you keep it on a dirt course and do some proper tuning and tweaking.

The Silvia Varietta? It's twin brother, the Silvia spec-R aero is pretty nice, though, after some tune up parts are added.

Reguarding the Zondas, haven't you all heard of tuning? It was a late addition to GT3;)

The worst car to me reguardless of tuning is the Lister Storm. It's just way too heavy to compete with any of it's peers. (Zonda LM, Viper Oreca, Toyota GT-One, 787B, etc.)

Come on chaps, what on earth is the matter with you?

GT3 is a driving simulator, or at least as close a one as we have right now, and the four cars mentioned for this poll all handle just fine. They just aren't made to handle unrealistically well (which cannot be said for most of the Japanese entries in the car list).

A little fettling of the suspension to sort out the understeer/oversteer to you liking and away you go.

Sorry to the thread starter if this sounded a bit negative - I have to confess to something of a knee jerk reaction to such polls, particularly when they list four of my favourite cars in the game :D.

I love the way the Zonda handles....you can drive it like a ralley car....even when the tires are red, ralley style...

Did you say "Varietta"? Wash your mouth out!

The Varietta sucks. It's got the third worst power-to-weight ratio in the game, rising to the worst fully-tuned power-to-weight ratio and lowest fully-tuned peak power of ANY car in the game. It's a dog.

This is a pretty pointless and redundant thread. However, I'll leave it for now.

Of the four you mention, none of them is the worst handling car. But judging from the four you've picked, I can guess what happened pretty easily:

1) You got a lot of money and you bought or 'won' four hot cars.

2) You put Stage 4 power mods on all of them and left stock suspension; T8 tires maybe.

3) You raced them against easy AI cars in the beginner or early amateur leagues, with enough power that you never learned how to corner effectively.

4) Consequently you expect the stock suspension to handle the enormous power all four of these cars can make, and you brake way too late for ever corner besides. Rather than recognizing your own unrealistic expectations and lack of understanding, you blame the cars for sucking.

My vote for the worst-handling car in all of GT3 comes as a result of careful consideration. I chose to pick a car that should handle way better than it actually does. Therefore, my choice is:

The Jaguar XJ220

For $700,000+ and 500+ hp, you'd expect a little more driving thrill than you get. It's like driving a Bayliner down the river. I did drive it stock (for the PD Cup) but nevertheless it should handle a little better out of the box for that kind of moolah. Anyone else agree with me?

d**n i must of left the xj220 out that car sucks too

and no i always put suspension on all my cars except the lancer and impreza

cause theire alot of fun with stock

IMO, none of the listed cars were bad handler, at least not until I got the suspension figured out, and how to drive them best that is..

Currently, the car I'm having trouble setting up is the 1st gen miata with 1.8l engine, turbo to the max.. that thing just push push push on acceleration, regardless of tyre nor suspension setup. It went around complex string at 4'40", while the NA tuned 2nd gen miata did a 4'41". But punching either at WOT through the first set of slalom at 100+ is a lot of fun, albeit the 2nd gen is more civilized.

the NSX type 0 is more of a power slider, same deal with the hachi roku..The S13... understeer pretty good; the HCR32, another car that must be steered with throttle. The Esprit 350... same deal (at its' peak that is, too bad gearing is still too short for CS).

Hello, Asura, and welcome to GTPlanet.

With the Miata, you're seeing the limitations of a small light car with a powerful engine... kind of like the old A/C Cobra came from the factory. After putting too much power in a cheaper car, the suspension and chassis just can't keep up. That's why I rarely go for full power modifications.

hi ya duke, thnx 4 the welkom.

Well, I guess it's beyond its' limitation, tried shifting the weight distribution backward as well (via rising the front spring rate and give it a tad higher ride height up front, to no avail.).. Ah well, I just like to see how far I can push it before it finally become obsolete.

about 40/60 front rear is nice, 30/70 front rear is a tad too much. 50/50... yuck.

Asura: I agree for the weight distribution figures. A bit more on rear is good.

vipersan: that's why I'm liking the overall handling of an MR, they're more of a 40/60 chassie.

When accelerating, we need more weight on the rear wheels to generate more traction for better launch. When braking into a corner, weight transfers from the rear to the front, hence actually creating unbalance to a 50/50 (static) car. In contrast, a 40/60 mid-engined car may achieve a real dynamic balance under braking.
