TwinTurboJay, it doesn't matter. For all we know theories are theories, the probability they can work IRL is 50/50. The game is an application of those theories.

IRL, you can have a rain shower all the sudden in the middle of the track, the GT-3 lacks that.

I remember playing JGTC (japanese PS 1 game), cloudy day, and it rained somehow, forcing me to pit in to swap on rain tyres. The rain occurance is random, sometimes it rained in the begining, sometimes in the middle, other times toward the end of the 150 lap around Fujii. Oh, and then there's fog as well. and often times, it rained twice a race.

enough rambling.. you're free to differ, just don't turn this thread into a flamer.

Meh, still like me FR;s best....once you know their tendencies, IMO they are easier to drive at the limit...
Yep, you can dial in understeer or oversteer at will. Same with MR. With FF or 4WD, they have a tendency to understeer.

just because you dont know how to drive the viper well doesnt mean it has bad handling. it just takes time to get used to... its a car that requires more weight shifting than other cars in the game. many of the cars in this pole have great handling... why is this thread still here? :dunce:

I have no idear. :indiff:

Zonda C12s I do not like the handling of. I find I have to pummel the steering to get any attitude out of the car when entering corners. It's good over kerbs for some reason, but hard to drive in other areas, mainly because of understeer.

Viper GTS isn't built to handle the top end tuning that takes it to over 1000 hp, but at lower power it is quite nice to drive. Not perfect, but it is easier to drive than the Zonda. The Viper GTSR Concept and teh GTSR team Oreca handle very very nicely thought. The Oreca drives like a dream, it's so well balanced.

TVR Speed 12 should not be taken seriously.

Lotus Espirit and the Lotus Motorsport Elise are just fine.

Of the four you mention, none of them is the worst handling car. But judging from the four you've picked, I can guess what happened pretty easily:

1) You got a lot of money and you bought or 'won' four hot cars.

2) You put Stage 4 power mods on all of them and left stock suspension; T8 tires maybe.

3) You raced them against easy AI cars in the beginner or early amateur leagues, with enough power that you never learned how to corner effectively.

4) Consequently you expect the stock suspension to handle the enormous power all four of these cars can make, and you brake way too late for ever corner besides. Rather than recognizing your own unrealistic expectations and lack of understanding, you blame the cars for sucking.

You make some valid points there. And are quite true in my situation. However my main reason in not really being able to drive, is because my friend did my licenses for me. This is my first game in GT3, so yes I got impatient.

I think I'll actually have a think about fine tuning my suspension etc. on cars that 'don't handle well' from now on.

Speaking of the Zonda C12S, is the gearbox really that close together? Because I heard the top speed is 200 something and with the stock gearbox top speed is about 150-160.

It's a conversion thing.

The real car is geared to 233mph. The GT3 car is geared to 233km/h.

bumping the car over the rumble zone or curbs is a fine and fair method to loosen it up, if space or skill doesn't warrant a feint move. It is, however, not to be mistaken with cutting corner.

Zonda And a fully raceing modfied Viper.I never had a prop with stock Viper but its the raceing mod one that bites you in the ass. :ouch: :ouch:

300zx and the Alfa Romeo are bad for over and understeer respectively. They are the worst i can think of. Some cars require different driving styles and the Zonda is one of those.
