Absolutely nothing, which is why you don't see many in the animated advertisement for Japanese cars that is the GT series. We get a few of the good ones from our side of the water tho' so I'm not going to moan too much.
The only thing that gets my goat a tad is that the games are falsely 'educating' (aka brainwashing) the younger generations, who don't know any better, that Japanese cars are 'good' in a sports car sense rather than just being fairly cheap and very reliable (until they rust anyhow).
The NSX is an exception to the "not sporty" generalisation in that it's almost in the same league as a Lotus Esprit.
All a bit inflamatory I know, so I apologise for having an outspoken opinion, but Japanese cars are getting such 'good press' from the GT series that it needs to be aired more often that, in reality, their cars are more "Shipping at Tesco's" than "Gran Turismo" (and no responses about 1000HP Skylines please, a Zonda, or other European equivalent, would eat one for breakfast)..
