What is your driving style?

Fast in, killing my wheels and brakes, fast out. Simple.

Myself I hate both, if my car spins if I full throtle I'll do progresive.

Understeer is unnaceptable.

I prefer good grip with just a slight bit of oversteer. The Toyota FT-86 handles perfect for me.

I tend to be very agressive, mashing the throttle off corners. Part of that may be due to the imprecision of a DS3 though.

I prefer slightly banked corners to flat ones because I can brake late and "dump" the car into the corner (that is, if I don't brake a mile early).

My driving style depends what i'm driving, I usually drive FF's because i like to tune them to beat more powerful RWD's and 4WD's so I usually Trail/Feign (is that what it's called?) brake into the corner to keep the weight on the front tyres to help me turn in and rotate the car so i can then start applying throttle progressively when I pass the apex keeping the tyres on the limit of grip. So i guess thats fast in, sort of slow out, probably not the best of techniques but its enough to embarass some people online when I overtake them with a Nissan March/Micra G# :sly:

I like to oversteer in a controlled fashion, not drift per se, but there are still marks left on the track. I inadvertently burn out my tires rather quickly, especially in NASCAR.

I prefer good handling cars to ones with loads of BHP.
I also like light weight cars over BHP.
I prefer a little oversteer than a little understeer but a little understeer to a lot of oversteer.
I prefer being a smooth driver but I brake late and that sort of stuff.
I don't like drifting at all.

I drive like an idiot most of the time, purely for entertainment.

The more fun I'm having, the better, which is why I love oversteer. I usually late-brake on entry using some stupid line, somehow rotate the car toward the exit using witchcraft, then mash it, kicking the rear out. It makes for a pleasant experience with the G25. Understeer is the worst thing in the world. I don't like AWD and I hate FWD. :yuck:

Also, I like shifting as fast as humanly possible (paddle shifters are lame).

I <3 GT5 :sly:

I drive no assists but ABS 1 on a G25. I tend to take aim for an early apex and like a slight bit of drift to my cornering. It's not the fastest in a lot of cars but it can be fun in something like the RUFs.

If I've overpowered my car choice for a race I usually end up trying to win in the most stylish manner so laptime technique goes out of the window. I have annoying lost races doing this though as when you crash in GT you ALWAYS end up the wrong way round (well I seem to anyway).

I think my sim driving style comes too many hours on GP Legends which requires a totally different style to most games.

Like Mekonrider I honed my driving in Grand Prix Legends, so I'm fairly comfortable with the tail out, 4-wheel drift stuff.

However, I'm more comfortable with a tad of understeer as my laptimes are far more consistent that way. It goes with my driving style of coming into the corner from high up but turning in earlier than most.

Whatever the car wants is how I drive it. And if it's asking too much from me then it gets to sit in the FAR back of my garage.

In a race, I focus on getting faster rather than the right line, I prefer braking late and all at once, and the same with acceleration, though. Prefer to overtake under brakes but feel like a legend when I pass in a corner :sly:, but in a free run, I try to drift a little, for fun, and that's why i drive an Audi R8, it does that, I'm by no means a perfect driver, always tapping others slightly when braking :ouch: and then damage my car

To round it up, in an endurance, I push hard on the straights no matter what (leading to scary results in a Zonda R at Le Mans in the rain) and take it easy under brakes and through turns, but other than that, I'm mad

Comfort hards, RWD, 800BHP+... Agressive playing with the throttle in the corner, careful application out of it. I like to go into the corner slower then most, but get on the power earlier.
I also enjoy having all aids off, cockpit view on and my Driving Force Pro in my hands...
For those who couldn't guess, i'm a drift nut

Oh and same in racing but with more obstacles (usually known as opponents ;)

Aggressive is probably the best way to put it. I brake late and hard(usually killing the FGT's front tires first) and prefer a bit of oversteer.

I'll feather the throttle on exits with more powerful cars, but i'll try to push the small cars to the limit. And when the occasion strikes, I'll throw in a 4 wheel drift here and there.

In other words, I like having fun with the car, being perfect is fun sometimes, but in other cars, forcing it to go sideways (cape ring is great for that) or abusing that exit-oversteer is something i can't resist.

Sort of a Senna/Hamilton style. Very late on the brakes, agressive on the throttle through the corners and very hard on tyres. I also prefer a lot of oversteer.

I prefer a bit oversteer and goes hard on.
The tyres is racing of course, but it depends on how long the track is.. If it's a short run, I'll go for soft.

I tend to be aggressive most of the time, very late on braking and I do like to catch up with other rival cars in an acceleration, sometimes I drift especially when I'm about to overtake them at a successive-cornering section or I'm mad no matter what tyres I put on the car, so I often drive in a light and fast car rather than a slow and heavy one. :D

Same here, unfortunately I don't have a wheel and it takes some serious concentration to apply the throttle smoothly with the triggers, especially driving high powered race cars.

I did a couple of laps of the Nordschleife in the 787B using a controller and it was almost scary trying to keep the thing in check 👍

have you tried using the right stick instead?

I like a neutral car, but I also like to trail brake and carry quite a bit of speed into a corner. Overall, I'm pretty easy on a car, but don't show me any light in a corner...

Oversteer for sure. Last minute braker, and I can care less if my tires survive as long as I am in front, lol. Only time I am not at full throttle is in a corner. If it was possible to over rev and blow your motor in GT5, my repair bill would bankrupt me.

Im absolutely relentless, anyone who's raced against me will have seen my ridiculous yet clean last-to-lead first lap charges.

I usually drive a bit conservatively, that is, I don't always try to get the best/fastest lap times, I don't always try to push the car to its limits, etc.

But...

Once I get comfortable with a car, I like to go ballistic with it...:trouble:

I do tend to brake a little too much I think, while I'm getting used to a car, but once I have a good feel for how it handles, I can maneuver it about pretty well.

I tend to be progressive with the throttle, and sort of feather the brakes.

I like a balanced mix between understeer and oversteer. Muscle cars are my favorites. Understeer around the corner, but mash the throttle and the power they have under the hood just makes the car fishtail around the last bit of the corner... Bloody good fun!:dopey:

I also like to kick the back end out around some corners for a sort of non-flashy type of drift. I don't drift around every corner, just the ones I feel are most fun to drift around, and only in certain cars that I feel are fun to do that sort of thing. I also don't drift longer than need be, meaning, I let the car tell me when it's done drifting most of the time.

I like to think I sort of drive like Jeremy Clarkson, or Richard Hammond from the Top Gear show. I just enjoy driving the different cars and testing them!👍

Generally, I prefer a bit of understeer. Also, I do enjoy trying to keep a tidy driving line unless I'm in a car in which I'm really comfortable with, in which case I'll brake late and just try to push the car to the limit.

The throttling depends on the type of car. If it's a weaker car I'll usually just stomp down on the pedal. However, in something like the Minolta or the Zonda R (the only aids I use are ABS at 1) I'll ease into the throttle (or else I'll spin out madly and crash). In the Elise TGTT challenge, driving is like stepping out a chicken egg without braking it.

Some oversteer, but I like the car to be stable and not crazy tail happy.
Throttle application depends. Most of the time its progessive, but sometimes i feather it.
I am not kind to my tyres, but I don't destroy them completely either. I don't really slide around too much.

I'm the same really, but I can make tyres last if I need to

I'm an aggressive driver with a complete disregard for tyre wear. I brake late and prefer cars which have a tendency to oversteer. I try to be as clean as possible when racing, especially online.

Driving style: Crappy?

Not really happy yet, I find myself still a beginner.

Enjoy most light RWD (Elise, Catherham, ....), so must say oversteer.
However I believe I'm faster with FWD, so I master understeer better I guess.

Not too stable, e.g. I rather do the seasonal events with an overpowered car then putting racing softs on the car.

Doing this; you must approach the throttle progressive or you do not survive, but as stated before, it is still a big challenge at this moment.

I try to go fast with the application of: slow in (early but very firm braking), straighten car out quickly, fast out, but I'm not very precise in the controls and very variable round by round.
