personally, i like Trial Mountain the most...its a nice track and i find it ideal for testing my new cars to see if i like them or not...

i also like Midfield....its more of a relaxing drive and a good warm-up track
 
El Capitan - this is the most technical circuit in the game (IMHO), with virtually every corner type available. It's a good track to develop a rhythm as the corners flow into each other, but it's not too punishing in some palces if you get it wrong. Mind you, if you mess it up elsewhere, you should be prepared for a date with the kitty litter.

Apricot Hill - loved it in GT2, but it's improved a thousand times for GT4 (never played GT3). The long bottom corner has now become a double-apex instead of an opening-radius corner and the back section has been ironed out so that nasty chicane now has to be taken properly.

I also like the modifications to the first sector to Midfield and the right-hander before the first tunnel on Grand Valley. Makes the tracks much more interesting and challenging as you can't blast through them on the very limits of adhesion any more.
 
i've been spending more time on grand valley lately. Its a nice highspeed course but cornering ability seems to be very important. Its sorta like a longer, faster version of tsukuba.
 
trial mountain... no questions... i love to drift, and this is my "test track" for every car i buy 👍
 
Hands down Apricot Hill. The most realistic racing track out of the bunch. Has pure rythm, high speed sections, shorter techincal sections and everything else. I do it all here, all of my lap time comparisons, suspension tuning, drifting, the whole lot. I love every section, I can grace any car through any turn. Easily the best track in the game.
 
i like el capitan because if you start to loosen up and take it easy it'll bite you. makes you stay on your toes the whole race.
 
Trial Mountain for racing, Deep Forest for drifting. And El Capitan for pictures, but I didn't vote for it.
 
Apricot Hill, it is the track that still challenges me - I have a harder time winning there than any of the other tracks.

I enjoy El Capitan, Deep Forrest, Trial Mountain and Midfield but the AI are just too slow.
 
Grand Valley Speedway is a nice, high-speed track but also has a few tough, tight turns and dirt traps to check your driving ability. It's also very scenic...the bridge is one of the nicest-looking parts of any original track in my opinion.

Of the original tracks in GT4 that weren't in GT3, I'd pick El Capitan. The elevation changes make it a nail-biting run in any car, but once you get used to it, it feels real good to nail a tough turn sequence.
 
Grand Valley all the way. Definitely requires some skill, and thanks to the tight turns, mixed with straight aways, i'm able to beat 400 hp cars with my lil ol' CRX. 👍
 
El Capitan rules! The elevation changes, the scenery, and the rhythm of that track just seem to flow through your body. It's really rewarding to get it right at 1:13 :sly: .
 
I honestly can't decide, but I really like Midfield, El Capitan, Grand Valley, and Apricot Hill. Apricot seems like a real race track to me, midfield is always fun, capitan is scenic, and grand valley is a little more challenging sometimes.

I never really liked HSR, it's just a waste to me haha
 
So I have to choose only 1????? Not fair! I have to pick a top 5:

1. Midfield
2. Grand Valley Speedway
3. High Speed Ring
4. Apricot Hill
5. Trial Mountain
 
Midfield - it is the first track I truly mastered in the game...maybe a sentimental favorite, but I love to run it; and the improvements on it for GT4 are 👍

El Capitan is a close second. I wanted to rip my hair out the first couple of times trying to familiarize myself with the elevation changes, but, as many have stated, once you get this track down, it feels REALLY good to nail a good run.

I chose Mid-Field Raceway. This was my favorite track in GT3 and is one of my favorites in GT4. This was basically my "proving grounds" and it proved to be adequate at that. Every car that ran really good times at Mid-Field ended up running really good times every where else. I believe MFR is one of the smoothest tracks in the game, and one of the easiest tracks to get used to. It's also a really short track.

But if I'm not at MFR, I'm either at the N-Ring or Sarthe.
 
1) Trial Mountain; I've always loved the course.
2) El Capitan; great for racing around in touring cars.
3) Autumn Ring/Autumn Ring Mini; regular for the big cars, Mini for the small cars.
 
Midfield, I love taking the S at the back of the track at full speed. I used to like Deep Forrest in GT1-3 but I have to learn it again for GT4.
Trial Mountain can be fun too, and would probably be more so if I knew how to drift. I miss the drift option in the arcade mode. Even though I dont know how to drift I was a lot faster on that setting than the race setting.
 
Where's Clubman Stage Route 5 or Special Stage Route 5?

SSR5 is definately more enjoyable to me than those with Trial Mt. in 2nd.

I didn't vote because FWA2500 left out the only fav original tracks I liked :grumpy:
 
Difficult btw Grand Valley, El Capitan and Trial Mountain. BUT I also like Apricot and Deep Forest a lot. And let us not forget some people prefer the reverse orientation.

Midefield, absolutely. At the moment I´m testing Skylines there..
 
Deep Forest and Trial Mountian. The scenary on both of them make me drool.

They also have a good 'technical but not so technical feel to them'. Its where I take alot of my photos :)
 
Apricot hill to me... is the only original track which i can see being a real race track in the world.. its gotta bit of everything... very flowing wen u get it right.. can develop a good rhythem.. got my vote
 
Have to say, Trial Mountain is growing on me. I hated it in GT2, mostly because I thought it was rather dull, but the make-over PD has given it for GT4 makes it awesome.
 
Love Trial Mountain its just a great track, i love getting out there on it!! 👍
 
I would find it easier to say that I'm not all that fond of High Speed Ring, Autumn Ring Mini or Grand Valley East :D.

I like all the others for different reasons (they all have their own character). In the end I voted for Grand Valley as it's probably my most driven track given that I use it for suspension fettling. El Capian is lovely visually but doesn't trully flow given it's uneven radii corners. Deep Forest was marvellous in GT3 but the hamstrung Bus-stop section spoils it these days. Trial Mountain is still excellent etc etc (like I said, I couldn't really decide :D).
