Use these for pretty much everything when I'm at home:

I have a nice Koss set, but the cushions are so hard they hurt like hell after about an hour, so I rarely use them.

For out of the house I have a different pair of generic cheep ear buds every other month. I replace them every other month, and rarely use them, so I don't like spending too much.

How do you like the HD595's? I was really tempted to get the 595's, or the 598 but ended up with a pair of the HD650's because I got a really good price I couldn't pass up.

I use these whether i'm at home or out and about.

What..? I was on a tight budget... (They cost me €8)

Panasonic RP-HTX7's for out when I'm riding, or in the car and etc. Had these ones since my senior year of high school I believe? They're still going strong.

Altec Lansing BXR1221AM Speakers just because I really don't like wearing headphones all the time. I picked them out because of how well they had been reviewed compared to other 2.1 systems in the same range. They're loud enough to fill a whole house with nice clean sound, and have pretty accurate sound as well.

Its not headphones but it could be considered a large dock. I have one of TDK's portable Boomboxs that work as an external TV output, phone charger (android user), radio, and ipod dock. It basically charges alot of my appliances  I liked its clean look so i picked one up for a good price. It has a very clean sound, and the mids are perfect. It lacks low end bass but i knew it would because it doesn't have a woofer.

My dock is a Bowers and Wilikins Zepplien air, has anyone ever seen one, looks the best, sounds the best, 600 BASS FILLED BUCKS!

How are the RP-HTX7's, bergauk?

Very nice for the price. Good isolation from the outside world, can be cranked as high as you want off an iPhone/iPod/Sound card without an distortion.

Super durable too. I've been hit by a car with these on, along with other mishaps as well and they survived and still worked perfectly.

The only problem with them is the ear cups after a while do become a bit gross and start to wear off a bit.

I'd think that if you got hit by a car with them on, you probably shouldn't be wearing them out and about for safety. I've heard some horror stories, trust me.

I have to do this... "billy maze here with another fantastic product... Bose QC15 headphones.. Domestic violence in the apartment upstairs no problem, just flip the switch... Wife won't stop complaining don't worry about it, just flip the switch... The atomic bomb is about to be dropped in your bedroom, common just flip the switch"

Panasonic RP-HT225s all up in this, bitch.

The best price-to-performance ratio of any pair of headphones I've ever come into contact with, and a smooth, comfortable bass that has the ability to sound totally thumping while not muddying the other sounds. Couple that with some suspiciously effective noise cancellation and fantastic build quality and you have a pair of headphones that truly owns - if you'll excuse the rhyme.

I got these for Christmas:

They're Bowers & Wilkins C5s. Took me a while to get used to them, but wow, they're awesome. But then for the £150 they cost, I guess they should be!

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD201s - I had to get a pair as certain people really don't like loud noises at 2 in the morning.

During the day I use the my Logitech X-530s

I really prefer using the speakers as the headphones have no bass at all - so guys..

Can anyone recommend a fairly cheap, but decent set of headphones? :)

How cheap? Under $150, there's the ultrasone HFI-580 (which I own), the audio technica m50 (which I've sold) and the Audio technica Pro700mk2 (which I've auditioned).

I bought a pair of those. Eventually the different cabling areas of it were jumbled up/exposed, then while trying to fix the right earphone going dead knocked out the left in the process.

Now have a pair of Olympus headphones - with a stupidly small amount of cable for the left headphone, and far more for the right. They work fine, but they're difficult to actually keep on.

Apparently, I have a problem.

The problem wasn't me, it was an ignorant driver who decided to roll past the stop sign right as I was passing in front of her car. I'm a very good cyclist, accidents do not happen because of me, but because of other people. I've yet to cause an accident myself.

Currently using the Apple Ipod earbuds (brand new) but they will probably last maybe a week the way I blast music.

Enjoy your hearing loss...

Just get some in ear ones like I have - sound better, don't need to be nearly as loud for the same immersion, and look better.

I got a set of panasonic in-ear ones from my girlfriend for Christmas. I don't use my headphones much, now that I drive I just play the music from my Android in the car over the speakers, but if I'm taking a long road trip or plane ride I'll use my headphones when my parents are driving.

I don't like the way those fit in my ear for some reason. I usually have the volume down a bit when listening but crank it when I wrap them around my earlobes and let them hang.

Pako! Long time to see, dude! You gotta come around more.

I love them just fine. Very smooth output. No peaks in upper range, or anywhere else. Only thing I don't like is they are open can. I like the isolation of closed can, but these work so well I can't complain. Oh, and they're very comfortable to wear. Very light. I can wear them for hours.

I'm about ready for new pads, though. Third pair since I got these several years ago.
