What made you wanna drift? How do you feel about?

What made me wanna drift is the smoke that you get from the car, adrenaline rush, sounds & looks of the cars, & you can be yourself.

Curiosity and trying to copy drift videos. Then,it went on to experiment different lines and combining techniques.

I play a lot of Drift related games from Initial D, to Battle Gear to the Yukes D1 games. I started Drifting in GT games at GT4 so it's natural that I'd do the same on GT5. I just wish they had the Gymkana and More Drift related activities in GT5 like in The previous games.

I watched various drifting related programs and series, such as D1GP, D1NZ, D1SL, Formula Drift and FPDA (http://www.kaasu.tv, check it out).

And I'm not a good grip racer and even as a drifter I'm not a seasoned professional. :ouch:

when i was 7 years old I got a copy of the drift bible for free...you know what happened after that.

the reason for me drifting would be because it acts as a stress releiver for me. When ever I drift I forget aboute what is going on and focus oon what goes ahead.

Its fun.. simple as that. Also it looks rather stylish seeing the car sliding with some mad angle, with all the tyre smoke etc.

Initial D.

I've even tried to drift my Dad's 1998 Ford Fiesta in an empty Parking Lot a few months ago, at 13 ;)

Speaks for itself:

THAT, and because I absolutely could not grip race for my life, so I resorted to controlling my spin outs, eventually, drifting

Another +1 for youtube, but mainly because its fun and i love leaving smoke trails

Likewise also, but I watched this one instead. I believed that RS was part of GTP...

I'm 17 now and can't even remember when I got into drifting, that how long ago it must have been. I do, however, remember seeing F1, BTCC etc and finding them very dull compared to drifting from an early age.

YouTube and D1GP exhibition at Silverstone back in 2005 I think it was

I have always been fascinated of drifting. then i got 18 and my own car. And found out its a extremely expensive hobby. Cuse most of the cars cant handle it. But we have a looong winter so i get it out then:D

What attracted me to drifting.. Owning a very quick M3 CSL lol.. every time you tickle the power in a turn or roundabout you just cant help yourself. The rush is just extreme and so addicting! The cost of tyres is a bit too much but hey, who said having fun MUST be cheap? lol never actually track drifted in my life but dam when you find a roundabout or the "Perfect" corner its just awsome
