I bought Easy Rider on dvd for my dad.
That movie is so strange, but i love watching it.

Got Karate Kid I, II, III and Toy Story 1 & 2 on DVD classic :)

I've jusrt ordered a few more.

A Beautiful Mind: 2 disk awards editionm
Deja Vu
The Blood Diamond: 2 disk special edition (I got this for £11.99, over my usual limit but since I got Deja Vu for under £6 I though why not)
Gangs of New York

La Vita E Bella (Life Is Beautiful)
"A magnificent story about the power of love in a world of insanity."

Over the past 2 weeks I've bought..

Critters Collectors Edition (all 4 movies)
Gremlins Collection (both movies)
Serenity
Titan A.E.
I have the first Critters on DVD. Probably on LD, too. First and second are as good as 80's B-Movies get! 👍 I also love my copy of Serenity.

I'm debating whether or not I should buy the James Bond Ultimate Editions box set, I've seen it for £70 on Amazon market place, but it's by a new selling with no feeback ratings at all. the next New box set is £89.99 with a %98 positive feedback seller. It's a pity because I was offered the collection for £50 a while back by a friend of a friend, I wanted it at the time but I had no cash with me. By the time I got round to re-enquiring, it had been sold.

Can't remember the last DVD I bought (the last one I watched was Pan's Labyrinth) but my last 2 movies purchases on Blu-ray were Kingdom of Heaven (which I have'nt watched fully yet) and Hellboy. Still waiting for some essential Blu-ray releases for me to get.

Amen to that, they're great. 3 and 4 are cheesy to the max but I still love 'em lol

4400 Series 3 on DVD

was thinking of getting Letters from iwo jima on BD anyone got it?

I haven't even seen the Letters from Iwo Jima yet. I'm pretty sure that is the hardest DVD to get a hold of by way of rental right now.

I passed it in theaters, because I had heard it was a really emotional film, and I didn't want to cry in front of anybody. :sly: Now that it's out on DVD, I can't find one to rent it.

I kicked off my Blu Ray collection with 300 for $24 and The Fifth Element for $14. My next buy (if they ever make it) is Chronicles of Riddick. I can't flippin wait to see these on my PS3 via my new monitor.

eww... that's a waste of Blu Ray. I don't watch anything swartzinmyass any more since he's our governator.

Dude, the Blu-ray version of Commando is the first true widescreen version of the movie. Finally(I've been waiting for years!). And don't you be rolling your eyes at Arnold and stuff. 👎 :p

oh god... you would've voted for him wouldn't you? :D :p

Anyway, Meh... I got it as a file so it's good enough. I wan't dynamicish looking movies on blu ray so I can WOW myself every time. lol.

iRobot, Minority Report.. stuff like that.

DWA
oh god... you would've voted for him wouldn't you? :D :p
Not that I can vote, but if he ran as Hillary Clinton's Vice President, I might actually vote for her. :p

Great flick and very emotional indeed. A good compliment to Flags of our Father s, as well. Those two films go really well together.

a masterpiece! for the first half you're laughing and the second you're crying. Roberto Benigni shows what he is capable of (now why can't he do it again?) I put this film among the top 5 all time.

Got Letters From Iwo Jima today on BD and if i like it I may get Flags of our Father's too.

Will watch maybe tonight or tomorrow.

Flags of Our Fathers was alright, but I thought as the film moved on from the actual war, it lost its' momentum. I look forward to your take on the Iwo Jima(maybe in "movie you've seen lately?" thread?).

While it's not quite in my top 5, I wouldn't dispute your take either. It truly is a masterpiece. 👍 I missed Serge's post the first time, but I bought that one as soon as it was available on DVD. I became a bit of Benigni fan after that, rented bunch of his other works. I'd also love to see him reach that level again. Chances are pretty good I think. I don't think "Life Is Beautiful" was a fluke. He's got what it takes.

Ya, but after that he released Pinocchio and I kind of started losing my faith in him... His early comedies are great though. Il Monstro, Johnny Stecchino, etc. He was good in Down by Law, as well.

Well got three BD movies the other day.

Shooter: Just for the mindless action.
Flags Of Our Fathers: It would be a crime not own this along with LFIJ.
The Reaping: More for my mother who likes horror/thriller movies, wasn't too bad tho and looked great on BD.

Blockbuster had some nice DVDs for $3.99, so I picked up:

House of Wax(2005) and Inside Man. I've been wanting both of those films for a while.

4 for $20(again, at Blockbuster), I could not refuse:

The Cave, High Tension, Talladega Nights and last, but certainly not least, Million Dollar Baby. What a film that one is!

Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, Disturbia, Super Troopers, 300, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Van Wilder, The Italian Job, SWAT, Meet the Fockers, Animal House (Double Secret Probation Edition), Showtime

Got Sunshine and Road Hogs about a week ago now. both on DVD was a shame Sunshine wasnt on BD it would look stunning on BD.

Is that HD DVD only? Anyway, I can't believe you guys have it on DVD already!

Couple of my favorite comedies in there with Shaun on the Dead and Super Troopers. I really enjoyed 300 and the Italian Job, too. Nice. 👍

P.S. I finally got around to organizing my DVDs, and I seem to own around 500 DVDs!
