This is my admittedly poor iphone capture of what to me was a strange and surprising game handling/behaviour flaw. The car in question is an Evo, tuned to just around 500pp - so you might fairly imagine that handling would be fairly benign and predictable - but no. Have a look...

I found this is prone with front-heavy cars with soft front suspension & high rear ride height, mainly FF cars. I guess if it has soft enough suspension with racing tires, an AWD would do the same.

Admittedly I did have RS tyres on, yes...but as far as I'm aware I had SRF off because I'm trying to set personal best times at the 'ring using as few driver aids as possible. Racing Softs do seem a bit of an overkill but I was going for the best possible time.

Awesome I spent ages the other day (I was very bored) trying to make a 500 Abarth do a forward flip at Cote d' Azur. I will try it here!

After seeing and experiencing quite a few of these 'flying saucer' physics occasions, I think I know what the problem is.

You see, the fact that one or several wheels come off from the ground is not at all that strange - perfectly understandable in this instance as well, taking into account the massive braking power from RS tires and soft suspension.

The problem is, that once wheels come off the ground in the game, some sort of ultra-low gravity seems to take over. This is very apparent if you try to flip a bunch of cars on purpose - once they start flying and rolling it all goes way too quick, too easy.

Exactly the same happened to my Alfa Romeo Mito (complete stock) on the Côte d'Azur track (at Casino) in career mode.
Very surprising ... did not even know what precisely happened until I saw the replay.

But it never happened to me entering the Nordschleife. I have about 10.000 km there (in GT6) with a lot of diffferent PP cars.

Maybe your spoiler was installed wrong ?

In the down hill section in the Matterhorn it is very very easy to get the two rear wheels on the air in the megane. but this is crazy. How fast were you going?

Try using sports tires instead, I don't get why people think running slicks on a road car, especially 500pp, is a good idea.

Sports soft have plenty of grip, sports hard are fun too but if you're in a RWD car you better know how to control oversteer haha.

Honestly I don't think slicks (racing tires) should be allowed on any road car at all, the only real world situation that you see road cars using slicks is in drag racing to put down all that excessive power.

Leave the racing tires for the race cars I say!

sport softs suck. they cant put more than 400hp down with any aggressive driving. race softs struggle with 600hp at times. if we want to run race softs, how does it effect you?

BTW the SOUND is pretty accurate!

@Outeke - Sorry but I don't see anything wrong with your car flipping like that. It's your fault that you didn't catch it like that:

Haha.

Just skip to the 15th seconds. Eeek.

Can anybody do that in GT6?

Irrelevant.

Using racing tires on a road car shouldn't break the games physics.

You must not do good in the Time Trials then?
i do ok. the ones i've done i have golded but i havent done them all. i have to drastically change my driving style to accommodate the tire restrictions. usually rank in the top 130K.

This 'stoppies' business is just positively ridiculous. PD, forget your sound update, DLC you may be working on, or anything else just for the moment, & FIX THIS STUPID NONSENSE!!!!!!!!!!!

For sure there is something wrong with gravity in GT6.

Never saw a car go UP again after touching 4 wheels on the ground.

Would you really not expect to roll over if you hit a banking like that at such a speed?

The post-roll behaviour is very strange I must admit.

Never said it should, I was just giving advice.

Everything I said still stands, relevant or not.

Yes, I would expect to bounce somewhat. but going back up with the back and then flip a another time while the car is kinda straight back is somewhat weird :)

But you said it correctly. The post-roll is what I thought would be weird :)

Oh it doesn't effect me at all, I don't join rooms with no restrictions. But, what kind of car can't handle 400hp on sports soft? Do you floor it through the corners all the time or something?

Sports soft are very grippy, no offense but I question your car control.
