I have noticed that most races are done with low HP with all aids off. Is this normal. Do you race a 900+ HP car with no aids??? :dunce:

Yes, I never use aids other than ABS at 1 but I'm even in the process of not using that either.

I will use TCS for race cars and always use ABS 1, but other than that no aids. I never really use any aids other than ABS on street cars.

I dont use aids at any PP

but I will admit driving a 900hp LMP with no aids ON A CONTROLLER is almost impossible

But I use a wheel, so its very easy for me

Me too :)

Hot laps in a Sauber at 1013hp with everything off (including ABS) on a DS3 is definitely interesting, but doable. LMPs are far more drivable.

TVR has never made a car with ABS or TC so have to drive Speed 12 without those. :) Can get a bit exciting at times... :D

I use TC 1 for standing starts for NASCAR.(To stop spinning on angled track.) But I turn it off before I hit 3rd gear. I use ABS 1 for driving except dirt and ice, ABS 3 there. All on a DS3.

But I think it is up to the person doing it. As long as your enjoying it, then do what ever you want.

But I also don't care if I lose. So I don't use aids to help me gain an advantage at the cost of fair racing. Then I lose with my lack of ability.

I drive and win with my 700pp @897HP , GTR-35TC with no ABS, no aids, online and offline on the Nür, best time = 5:52.755s. Once you master a track , all you need to do is experiment with lower brake BIAS, in my case is 3/3 , as you will need to brake less and less in the game. (or just know when to coast , or use less than 10% braking with engine decel compression, into your next corner, instead of unsettling it with harsh braking, and sudden accel)

Also, I firmly believe all cars accel and reach top speed better, with ABS at 0, than at 1., it's by a hair, but I can sense it. I discovered this with the Expert Seasonal challenges a while back.

Try low pp shuffle races with 0 ABS too, and you'll lead the pack more than you'd ever know.

Don't max it out and it's much more controllable even on RM tires with some diff and gearing work than it is maxed out on RS tires and twice as much diff/gear tuning. I also like to add a little front ballast and bias the brakes more rearward than I generally would, this helps to reduce the amount of understeer you get under heavy braking. I will say, though, that this is one of the very few "road" cars that I will run slicks on and one of the even fewer cars that I feel the need to run RM on, I even run RH on my Saubers (fun stuff) and LMPs.
