Although I'm an American car fan, I'll drive anything, since I have yet to find a car I actually hate in the game (even the Subaru 360 was some fun), if I can use it, I'll try it, and I'll enjoy it for what it is.

Till later.

Both comments are one sided, based on personal experience or belief, try to keep an open mind and be thankful we have vehicles at all.
I have nothing against American cars, i have to live with them, i'm surounded bu Vettes fans here in my hometown. I'm just calling most of the old American Muscle cars, but theres still a few very nice American cars, that can actually turn. Like the 05' Vette that has leaf spring suspension (says Richard Hamonds form Top Gear) But it still goes around corners better then most American cars. But when Richard Hamonds test drove the Dodge Charger, he said it can pretty much only go left and right, and not much more, meaning it can turn worth ****. But then it again these cars are built for America, and not smoll European streets, or the narrow streets of Japan. I frankly thing American Muscle cars are made for durt instead of road, liek the Charger it has pretty high ground clearence, compared to most cars with more then 400 bhp. In the end it really evens out. All cars have somthing screwed up about them, and i will say somthing about my beloved Japanese cars, well most of themonly have a top speed of 160-180 mph, were most cars in the range of 400-500 bhp (Porsche, Ferrari, Saleen, Dodge) can go well a bit faster on a straight, and theres the Bugetti, well let's just not many people have one of those, so yeah.

I wasnted trying to make a one sided coment, i was trying o say why i don't like them. Now lets go back to GT4.

as for older american cars being crap, i have a kickass example by ford that doesn't blow.

the GT40.

it gang-raped ferarri at Le Mans and was street-legal.

yes, a LM race car that was street-legal.

still, even if the american muscle of 60'-70's didn't have stellar handling, the competition was either not any better or packed weak engines.

i think italian cars are worse than american cars can ever be.

it takes them multi-million budgets to build a car that chevy can beat with a fraction of the price.

and mustangs are the civics of the tuning scene.

as for my year preference, i'd say 2000 and before because, imo, that's where most of them "peaked" before either dropping or staying the same.

I meant no cars in the GAME from back then handled well. Certainly my dad's MGA handles a lot better than any stock muscle car, but it also takes a long time to get from one corner to the next. I still don't get why they bothered to put the crappy MGF in the game but not the MGA or MGB :dunce:

I'll say!

The Murcielago or the Enzo have got nothing on that new Corvette! :dunce:

The Corvette is the best car Chevrolet have, and it'll get nailed by even the cheapest Lamborghini or Ferrari any day of the week...

What time period do I drive most? probably between 8 and 10pm.

But seriously, it's about even between the late 90's and 2000 onwards but as there isn't an option for both, i've plumped for the 2000 onwards.

Oh and hello everybody!

Murcielago - £140,000

Enzo -£450,000

Corvette -£59,000

Go Figure?

Specialized
Murcielago - £140,000

Enzo -£450,000

Corvette -£59,000 ...
Yes, and the Corvette is not as good as either car and so is priced accordingly...

I'll drive whatever, but I mostly drive cars from 2000 on.

And to even further specify, I really like driving GT cars from 400 - 700 HP. I am a huge endurance racing fan, and these are the cars that I love!

Mainly the 1980s and 90s. I love the Le Mans prototype racers, particularly the Group C cars and the LMPs. It's just a shame that Porsche and Ferrari aren't in GT - I don't care overmuch about a missing F355 or 944 or whatever, but I would dearly love to have the Porsche 917, 935, 911 GT1, 908 and 956 in the game, as well as the Ferrari 512s and Ferrari PBs. Lovely cars.

Other than those, I can't really think of many LM cars which should be in GT but aren't. There are some odd additions (the Minolta Toyota - all-conquering in the game - wasn't competitive in real life as far as I know, and neither were the Nissan Group C cars) and I suppose it'd be quite nice to have things like the Courage C49 and C52, and the Dome-Judd thing that Jan Lammers drove recently (that is one of the most bizarre things about GT4, IMO - they put in manufacturers and sometimes whole countries just for the sake of one car, like Spyker or Gillet. Dome and Pescarolo are already in the game, so why not put a few more of their cars in, rather than a whole manufacturer for one car not many people use?) but on the whole I ain't complaining. The endurance races have gotten steadily better and better since the early GT games - I'm looking forward to when we can have bigger fields. Having a Le Mans 24 Hours with a 30-car field would be sweet, especially if they could do a GT1/GT2/GT3 thing, where you could enter - and win - in varying classes depending on your car, winning different prizes depending on the class. That, to me, would be the Holy Grail of motor racing sims.
