I am using a DLC Nissan for the Nurburgring and the racing soft, medium and hard tyres all seem to wear down to an undrivable state within the second lap.

Have you done the race? If you have what car did u use? I don't just want to use any car I want it to be a race where I have to actually try.

I've done it several times, both before the tyre wear update and after.

Did it in different cars such as the stock Honda NSX Stealth model (maybe you dont have it but a race NSX will do the same), couple times in the premium BMW M3 Coupe '07 and also done it in the SLS AMG.

Just find a matching car from the opponents list, and you will have a great race.

Wait hang on how did u do it in a stock Nissan nsx?

depends on the cafr really. 5wd and lightweight cars can probably get away with racing mediums, normal powerful rear wheel drive cars should use sports sofft or racinfg hard.

U can't drive in sport tyres, it's so not fun

I've run the N4 about 10 times in several different cars. I've used race tires and sport tires.

If you use racing tires you're so fast in the corners that you blow away the AI so you have to turn down the power a ton just to have a race.

I don't find that fun to be way faster in the corners and way slower on the straights.

But on sport tires you are closer to the AI in the corners so you can use more power to stay closer on the straights. You wind up with a more natural flow to the race.

Sports tires will also last longer, if you don't slide them like crazy. I find them more enjoyable to drive on, too.

I used racing hard, that's what the AI is using so its fair game, I also ran my car at a lower pp than the AI because the AI is rubbish at driving and wanted some challenge in a 4 hour race.

5WD??!? Where did you find one of those? I must know :sly:

Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo on hards, the mediums and sorts go too fast and don't pick up enough time to offset the time lost in the pits. Still a lot of pit stops but a good way to learn the 'ring.
